!!! Beware: Misleading Sales and Hidden Annual Contracts !!!

Ik wil mijn sterk ongenoegen uiten over deze ervaring. Wat mij het meest stoort, is dat de verkopers zelf niet eens lijken te weten dat ze klanten vastleggen aan een jaarlijks wederkerig contract. Dit is bijzonder misleidend en absoluut niet transparant.

Als klant word je hier onbewust in een overeenkomst getrokken waar je achteraf moeilijk onderuit geraakt. Dit soort praktijken wekt weinig vertrouwen en voelt allesbehalve correct aan.

Mijn advies aan iedereen: wees uiterst voorzichtig, lees alles grondig na en zeg onmiddellijk op indien mogelijk. Anders riskeer je opnieuw een factuur te ontvangen waar je niet meer onderuit komt.

Dit is geen manier van werken die ik kan aanbevelen.

I want to express my strong dissatisfaction with this experience. What bothers me most is that the salespeople themselves do not even seem to realize that they are binding customers to an annual recurring contract. This is highly misleading and completely lacking in transparency.

As a customer, you are unknowingly drawn into an agreement that is difficult to get out of afterward. Practices like this inspire very little trust and feel anything but fair.

My advice to everyone: be extremely cautious, read everything carefully, and cancel immediately if possible. Otherwise, you risk receiving another invoice that you will not be able to avoid.

This is not a way of working that I can recommend.

The PPA test gives different results depending on the language

I did the PPA test, and I have to say it is disappointing how bad it is. Supposedly, your results should follow what they call the DISC method: Dominance (D), Influence (I), Steadiness (S), and Conscientiousness (C). That in itself is already controversial, but let’s assume it is the best tool available for what it claims to measure.

When taking the test, I switched between English, Dutch, and Spanish. In each language, I noticed I would not choose the same words or options. Then I asked other people who knew English, German, Russian, and Greek to do the same, to look at the questions in different languages and compare the results. Their results also changed depending on the language, which means that the test outcomes vary based on a person’s language and possibly their cultural background. That raises even more problems.

I have spoken to our head of psychology here at Thomas around your concerns. Each translation of the assessment is psychometrically equivalent, not a direct translation. Concepts differ by language, and people understand and respond to things differently across languages. It is important to ensure that a person gets the same results regardless of the language in which they took the assessment. We conduct extensive validation research on each assessment to confirm it measures the same underlying psychological concepts accurately and fairly. When a direct translation of a question does not perform statistically well enough, we seek alternative questions that can demonstrate they measure the same thing but do so more effectively.

This test is nonsense

This test is nonsense, how can a test like this and proven record of Cv and references determine what you are capable of doing, if I am ever asked to do this again I will refuse, years of experience and can back up for results that make no sense and only giving you 2 options to complete tasks.

Useless

Based on 24 positive and 24 negative characteristics, the company presumes to break down a person's personality over 15 pages. The AI analysis attempts to go into ridiculous detail, which ultimately amounts to nothing more than a presumptuous, outrageous and completely useless misinterpretation. The fact that the company that used this software in recruitment immediately distanced itself from the ‘analysis’ because it contradicted its own experience gained in interviews and on the basis of the CV and asked you to ignore it says it all.

From your description, it sounds like you took our Personal Profile Analysis (PPA). The PPA assessment has been rigorously developed and validated over 40 years, including being independently audited for its scientific robustness by the British Psychological Society (BPS) as well as other international psychological and testing bodies. These organisations assess tools against strict scientific and ethical criteria to ensure they are fair, reliable, and fit for purpose.
It’s important to emphasise that assessments like the PPA are designed to be one part of a broader decision-making process, not the sole basis for hiring decisions. Organisations should always consider a range of information when evaluating candidates, including interviews, experience and other relevant factors. This being said, assessments such as the PPA are routinely found to be more predictive of future job success than traditional methods such as CV screening and general interviews in peer-reviewed meta-analyses.
Our reports are not created by artificial intelligence. They are developed by our in-house content team, who are psychologists and subject matter experts in assessment design and interpretation. This team ensures that the content is accurate, meaningful, and closely aligned with each individual’s assessment responses. awful. Do not agree to taking this rubbish. One- its racist to use some poxy tests to check if someone is suitable for the job. 2- they won't provide your results to see what you could work on. You only get a few sentences back instead of the full results. I don't appreciate some random business keeping my data without being able to see it.

I apologise that you have not had a good experience. We work very hard to ensure the science behind our assessments is robust and the norm groups we use are representative of the population to ensure there is no bias. Thomas assessments have developed using strict scientific validation and reliability methods. You should have received your candidate feedback from the business who requested you take our assessment. We do not have access to raw results as these are on our clients system. Due to GDPR regulations we cannot access this. Our raw results are intended to be shared with our accredited practitioners or psychology professionals as they need to be interpreted to give proper feedback. We would recommend you go back to the business who requested you take the assessments as they would be able to help you with feedback based on your assessment results.

Great service and assessments

Our Customer Success Manager is Maria Febres-Cordero, she has been working on our account for a few years now. She is very helpful and checks in with me regularly to help with ideas on how to use the Thomas tools & plan relevant trainings.

We have held a couple of Thomas trainer run sessions and Intelligent Selling was very well received by the Sales team & Company Directors. I would recommend this course to those wanting to bring behavioural / emotional intelligence & self awareness into their Sales team's selling techniques.

All Round Excellence at Thomas International

The personal touch at Thomas is fantastic - customer care is really important to me in my coaching business and Thomas provide that every step of the way. The tools are exceptionally well designed, simple and clear to use and my clients tell me that they have enjoyed using the questionnaires; found the feedback reports insightful and practical and have found their engagement with the Thomas products to be a very beneficial experience in every way.

Professional and supportive service personified

If you are not partnered with Thomas International, you should be. We have worked with Thomas International for a number of years now and cannot fault their level of professionalism, support, and guidance.
Our Customer Success Manager Maria has always been a bright light of support, guidance, and advice. Nothing is too much trouble to get the best of of the assessments to develop and nurture the talent whether existing or new into our business.

Would give them zero stars if allowed

Would give them zero stars if allowed. Terrible experience. They doubled the price of our contract and then ignored our repeated requests to give notice. They are now threatening us with legal action for non-payment for a service that we did not renew.

Customer service in our case was appalling.

“We were clients of Thomas for years and paid them many thousands of pounds over that time, but recently all that seemed to be happening was that the prices were going up and the service was getting worse. Contact with our account manager was minimal, and that person actually left and didn't seem to be replaced. We were given notice that our credits (around £1k worth) would expire so we asked if we could have a short extension to use them up. The answer was a flat no, despite the fact that it would have cost Thomas nothing to extend them. The product itself was useful but the customer service in our case was appalling.”

Disappointing experience

Disappointing experience. Used for 2 years and then it was like we didn't matter. They are keen to play on the fact they have many clients and make you feel like you're nothing to them. Appalling change of direction from TI.

Jeg håber ALDRIG nogen bruger det møg

Måske er det fordi jeg ønsker at ” undgå direkte konfrontationer” at jeg skriver i så bløde vendinger, så i må selv lægge de sidste 200% til .
At skrive at jeg sætter opgaven over mennesket er jo direkte ulækkert, jeg ville aldrig prioritere mit job over medmenneskelighed, resten er bare uheldige løgne
Jeg har ALDRIG set en personligheds test der rammer så lang fra skiven
Jeg håber dybt og inderligt at der ikke er nogen ude i verden der hyre på baggrund af den omgang møg.
Nu kan du måske mene at ”sandheden gør ondt” eller at ”rønnebærrene er sure”
Men der er ikke mere sandhed i den omgang pdf end der er i et horoskop i Ekstrabladet.
Der er mere end 75% der jo er direkte i modstrid med hvordan jeg handler, agere eller er.
Her taler jeg ikke blot om selvopfattelse, men også resultater af f.eks. 365 ”test” hvor kollegaer, og chefer beskriver deres syn på mig.
Jeres beskrivelse passer jo på en der ligger dybt inde på Asperger spektret, og nej det er ikke fordi jeg er prinsesse fornærmet.
Alene ideen om at man prøver at beskrive komplekse mennesker gennem 24 spørgsmål får jo alt til at stritte på mig, og det her slår det fast med 7 tommer søm, det kan man ikke.
Det er ikke fordi jeg ikke forstår behovet for at grov sortere hvis man har 200 ansøgere, men med kvaliteten af det her møg kunne du lige så godt tage den øverste ½ del af stakken og smide og udtale besværgelsen ” de var uheldige, og vi har ikke brug for uheldige folk i vores virksomhed”

shame on a company that is supposed to enhance our understanding of people

as a one-person business with no business at all since Feb 2020 i have not renewed my access licence with thomas international and they have refused to allow me access to my record base for more than a week to get copies of the reports they store on their site. having had no income for a year I asked if they would let me access my records for a month to enable me to download all the information stored there which i had paid for - they couldnt give a toss - shame on a company that is supposed to enhance our understanding of people
