My son somehow made an order on my iPad for £154 worth of items, I noticed when I received and email to my phone. I emailed them to let them know and asked for a refund. A refund was issued within 5 minutes of me emailing. Thanks so much for sorting it out with speed and efficiency. Safe to say he won’t be on my iPad again!! Thanks again!!

I placed a pre-order which was later cancelled without a proper explanation. It’s unacceptable to list items for pre-order and then cancel them, especially when market prices have shifted. From a customer’s perspective, this raises serious concerns about fairness and business practices.

What makes this worse is the complete lack of communication. There has been zero response to my emails and no attempt to properly explain the cancellation. Being ignored as a paying customer is extremely frustrating and unprofessional.

When customers commit to a pre-order, they expect the seller to honour that agreement, not cancel when it appears financially inconvenient and then refuse to engage. This behaviour completely undermines trust.

Collectors and buyers should be cautious when dealing with this business. If you expect reliability, transparency, and basic customer service, you may be disappointed. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing here.

Fantastic experience as a first time buyer. Ordered a bunch of Katana sleeves. They were sent very quickly and arrived within a few days (I'm the other side of the UK!). They were packaged really well. I am so happy with my purchase, I have just bought another lot of sleeves. Would absolutely recommend!

Company advertises/sells products that they don’t have. Allowing people to pre order items, happily taking and holding people’s money, when you have no idea of how much stock you will receive is beyond a joke. Why offer something that you cannot guarantee you even stock, waiting until you received your order then allowing orders to be placed would easily solve this problem but this would be a great help to your customers so I doubt this idea will ever welcomed. I won’t be shopping at this store again as the trust of buyer seller was completely broken and advising others to do the same. No response to my emails about my situation so I decided to leave this review hoping to help someone avoid such a disappointment in the future.

I ordered a boxed tcg item and when it came the box was slightly indented as it needed extra packaging. As a collector i need things in pristine condition. I sent it back as asked, before xmas and it arrived with them on the 23rd of December. Fast forward I had been checking my statements and had seen nothing I then emailed them again on the 5th of Janaury and they said they couldnt process the return until i sent the tracking number. The reason i am annoyed is that they knew i was sending it back had recieved it but were just sitting on my money. In the instructions to send the item it did not say to include a tracking number so i feel that the only reason i have the refund is because i initiated a follow up. To top it off i am out of pocket 2 lots of packaging costs.

Can't fault the service provided, cards were dispatched quickly and securely. Will certainly be ordering again.

I have been going to Thistle Tavern almost weekly for in store run events, the staff are always extremely kind and welcoming and make an effort to make a personal connection with everyone they meet. The store is always well maintained and has decent stock levels on the latest product most of the time providing it isnt sold out everywhere. They run many events and even run events for players who are new to the TCG world with many of welcoming and helpful players also their to guide and teach the best they can. I would 100% recommend this store if you are looking to get into the TCG space.

I brought 3 greninja and kingdra ex, as went to open I noticed they had been clearly resealed with glue. Very disappointed, won’t be ordering from them again.

I ordered something from here as a Christmas present however it wasn’t adequately packaged and the box of the product arrived really beat up. I reached out twice about this and had no reply from anyone

I wouldn’t recommend trusting Thistle with pre-orders. I placed a pre-order on 29 October and waited until the release date on 18 December. During that time, I saw the item available in several other stores — and at a lower price — but since I had already pre-ordered, I decided to wait. On 17 December, just one day before release, I received an email along with a refund saying they couldn’t fulfil the order. Now the item is out of stock everywhere and only available on other reseller websites at much higher prices. Do yourself a favour and avoid using this store for pre-orders. If they can’t guarantee stock, they shouldn’t offer pre-orders. When I placed mine, the item was listed as “5 in stock,” so I can only assume several other orders were cancelled as well.
