Sri Lanka Bucket List
We completed a Bucket List Private Tour in Sri Lanka. THG were great in tailoring our holiday based upon one of the options on their website but made it bespoke for ourselves with a few changes to the Itinerary. The holiday itself was great and the tour itself was perfect visiting a number of attractions and hotels and ended in a beach resort which allowed some recovery time at the end with the right balance of sightseeing/travelling and relaxation. The guide we had was brilliant and was very knowledgeable about the Island and its history. His English was excellent and his driving exemplary.
The end of our holiday was unfortunately at the beginning of the current Middle East crisis which meant we had to wait just over another week to return home. THG were great in keeping us fully appraised of flight cancellations at this extremely difficult time and relocated us to an alternative Hotel in Columbo from the Beach Resort which was to a very high standard. We eventually flew home safely.
This is the fourth time we have used THG and would not hesitate in using them again.

We are sorry that you felt it was necessary to leave a three-star review regarding your MSC Virtuosa Cruise going to the Norwegian Fjords.
You mention ‘too many expensive chargeable extras’ as the reason for your low review and we can only assume that this is related to optional onboard services/facilities such as speciality restaurants, spa treatments, or shore excursions etc.
Unfortunately, the optional extras are completely out of THG Holidays control, and most cruise lines have similar extra charges.
We do hope that this does not detract from what will be an enjoyable cruise to the magnificent Norwegian Fjords.

Great holiday in Thailand
Great holiday in Thailand, Thg holidays recommended resort and hotels both in Bangkok and Khao lak and they were excellent both for location and quality, and cant recommend them enough when Etihad cancelled return flight because of the war THG sorted extra night in hotel and rebooked us on next flight so we didnt have the stress and worry and could enjoy our holiday.

Fail to support stranded customers
We are stranded in Sri Lanka due to Qatar airspace closure. THG have been hopeless, unhelpful, lacking empathy and failing to comply with international legislation. Instead of supporting us with hotel, transport. Food. Etc, they say they will pay up to £159 which barely covers B&B and transfer and we must pay everything else and reclaim from insurers. This breaches legislation. Communication has been awful. Do not book with these cowboys!

It is always disappointing to receive negative feedback at any time and more so in a period where we are working round the clock to try and support our customers in very difficult circumstances. We appreciate that people react to stressful situations in different ways, but we always hope that our customers react in a reasonable manner. This review is neither fair nor reasonable as we have been in almost constant contact since we first spoke to you regarding your booking on Sunday - on that occasion you made a point of thanking us for our swift response. We can assure you that we take our responsibilities seriously and are here to support our customers in any given situation.
Unfortunately, as the regional airspace is still closed you will need to stay in Sri Lanka until we are able to re-protect you on a suitable flight home. We are constantly monitoring this position to allow us to act quickly when there is a policy update or flights become available. Given we do not have our own aircraft you will appreciate that we can only work with Qatar Airways and their stated policy of managing significant numbers of people in a similar position. Until we have a flight for you, we are working with our local agents to give you several hotel options to accommodate you until we can get a confirmed flight. Our policy in situations of travel disruption beyond our control is that we will meet the cost of the first night’s accommodation and incidentals, and any further expense would need to be paid by you direct to the hotel and claimed on your travel insurance. We will continue to monitor the situation, keep you informed by email and via our local agents and will get you home as soon as possible.
Everyone has a right to their opinion but posting such unfair and inaccurate comments where a team of people are doing their very best to help you in all areas within our power is not helpful. We do not control international events, Qatar Airways or hotel availability but within what we do control we will continue to help you as best we can. Please remember that closing airspace is not our fault and that we can not force Qatar Airways to pick up the entire cost of any delay in Sri Lanka which is what you are asking for. We hope that you will reflect on these comments and realise that calling the people that are doing their best to assist “Cowboys” is insulting and suggesting we are in breach of legislation is slander.

Sri Lanka and Kerala
Booking was easy and always able to speak to the same person Mandy who was very helpful and friendly.
We’ve used bigger companies before but everything went accordingly to plan. The tour of Sri Lanka was brilliant , our personal guide/driver was excellent, all hotels good and lots of little extras.
The tour of Kerala was a different format , using a driver and local guides. The driver was young and fairly inexperienced but very reliable. Local guides were brilliant , hotels all very good and the day and night on the houseboat was excellent.
In summary, THG holidays were great and we would book again.
