I had the wheels of my MG TF refurbished and I was delighted with the results. What I particularly liked was the attention to detail during the process. From reception to the wheel refurbishment operator - the customer service was seamless. My car has different front and rear wheel/tyre sizes, so it was critical that the wheels and tyres went back on the car in the exact same positions. They listened carefully to my instructions and this was done exactly as requested and the tyres were all fitted with the correct rotation. The team also fitted my new wheel inserts and saved the originals for me. Having previously had the wheels of my Mercedes refurbished in 2025, this was the 2nd time I have used the services of the Wheel Specialists in Ferndown, Dorset and the experience was just as good second time round.

Ferndown, Dorset. Great experience, start to finish. I was a bit worried as I am a bit fussy with anything to do with my car. I need not to have been. The wheels are great and far better than I expected. 10/10 definetley recommend.

Took my car to get 1 alloy straightened due to losing air pressure. They gave it back, and it still kept losing pressure. I went back and after looking at it again, they had repaired the wrong wheel, tried charging me full price again for the same work eventhough they took the wrong wheel off, and then proceeded to accuse me of swapping the wheels over. Then out of ‘courtesy’ only charge me 50%

I brought my alloy wheel to the wheel specialist at the end of December to repair a small crack. The work seemed well done initially – I was happy with how quickly they turned it around so I left a 5-star review straight after collection.

The car is only used occasionally at weekends. A week later, the tyre pressure warning light came on – I pumped it up, assuming they’d not topped it up properly after the repair. The next weekend, the tyre was completely flat. When I tried to take it back that Saturday, I found they’re not open on weekends.

I called the following week and was asked to bring the wheel in. On inspection, they said the weld had re-opened and claimed the wheel was now buckled. I’ve driven fewer than 50 miles since the repair and have not hit any potholes or curbs – the car has been parked securely when not in use.

They’ve refused to take any responsibility, stating their weld wasn’t guaranteed, and have now quoted me £240 for further repairs (still with no guarantee). After doing my own research, I’ve learned that improper welding techniques can cause alloy wheels to buckle due to heat damage during the repair process – which strongly suggests the issue was caused by their work.

It’s deeply frustrating to have left a glowing review based on initial appearance, only to face a dangerous failure and then be asked to pay again for what’s likely a problem they created. I cannot trust this business to carry out safe, professional alloy repairs and would urge others to avoid them for alloy wheel welding…

The customer service and quality of work was excellent. From confirming the quote and answering all of my questions, to keeping me informed on the day, Leola was brilliant at ensuring I knew exactly what was going on. I ended up needing all four wheels straightened in addition to the refurbishment; however, I was kept up to date in real-time with videos showing the buckling that needed rectified. This made the decision much easier.
