Happy Guardian
Great company for more affordable rent in London. I have rented now for over 5years with them in two different properties, and couldn't be happier. Properties come unfurnished, but it allows you to put your own stamp on them as long as your maintaining and upscaling them, any issues I've ever had they have a great reporting app, where most jobs are completed in a matter of days, they keep you updated on all works, great communication via email or telephone and super friendly staff. You get a sense if community as there are normally many more guardians in the buildings which allows you to create a safe space where you can engage and rely on eachother. I've always felt really safe and so far have had a great experience which has allowed me to be independent in a city where otherwise I would not have been able to, I have found my little haven 😊.
Special thanks to Teresa, who always has our best interest, keeps me updated on any outgoing jobs or issues I've had, keeps on top of pending issues, always seems to go above and beyond in her department, liasing with who she needs in order to resolve any issues, maintaining clear communication throughout. Thank you to Katie (inspections) who is very professional, respectful when entering properties and the space she is in, following all the steps to notify me when she is entering, or has done a check in the property, also very friendly. Also thank you to the rest of the team; Jerome, Lauren, Isaac and Grace, who I have liased with on my occasions, who always prioritise, and make a conscience effort to get things sorted professionally and in a timely manner. Overall positive experience
I've been a property guardian with Lowe for almost two years. My overall experience with them was positive: Whenever we had a maintenance issue, someone came to deal with it in a reasonable timeframe.
At some point, we had problems with some inconsiderate neighbours, we reported to Lowe. Based on my previous experience with landlords and other guardianships in London, I didn't expect much but, to my surprise, they dealt with this issue in a very professional and caring manner.
The lady dealing with the maintenance issues was always very responsive and helpful. I always got the impression that she actually wanted to help rather than just getting on with her work.
All in all, I'd recommend Lowe to anyone who understands what a property guardianship is and how it is different to a tenancy.

Best amongst them all
I've been a guardian with LOWE for more than 6 years. LOWE is a very good company amongst a generally dodgy landscape (from what I hear from various sources). They are very good at reacting quickly to maintenance issues which is truly the most important thing you need as electricity, water, a working kitchen and shower are really what matters most. As an example, in one instance on Christmas eve, the founder of the company himself helped with an urgent electrical issue - this was 5 years ago and the company has grown a lot since then. They have, in the past, also been effective at reacting quickly to conflict resolution and truly trying to make things work. Other than these aspects, your experience will most likely depend on the building/area you are a guardian in.

A top notch guardian company
I am just coming up to a year with Lowe, as a guardian in a Grade II listed building and I cannot say enough good things about the company. From the start of the process with Joseph to the moving in and working with Teresa living here so far has been a breeze! Teresa has always been very professional and responsive to emails and very helpful.
To address a few of the negative reviews I can confirm that - in accordance with our License Agreements - we are always notified of property inspection at least 24 hours in advance, and attendance cards are left in each room. Maintenance requests have been attended to quickly and professionally and we always know when a contractor is attending.
As to the comment about "market rent" being charged, that could not be further from the truth in my area. My license fee is almost £500 a month less than what my previous private landlord was charging. True I do not have a private kitchen or bath but it is well worth it to save on rent, utilities and council tax.
We have a very good group of licensees, thanks to the solid vetting process used. This includes all the standard checks including employment verification, right to rent, etc.
I hope to remain in this property a long time, but if not then I know there are a number of other wonderful Lowe properties and I will not hesitate to moving to a different building just to remain with Lowe!

My experience with Lowe Group Guardianship has been deeply concerning. The company frequently disregarded residents' privacy by entering the property while people were in the shower, demonstrating a lack of respect for personal space. Additionally, they often brought unknown individuals into the flat without any record of who these people were, raising serious security and safety concerns.
The property was also plagued by clear signs of drug use, which was not adequately addressed by the guardianship company. Furthermore, the location was used as a forwarding address for a limited company, which added to the chaos and lack of oversight. Overall, the management was exploitative and neglectful, failing to provide a safe or respectful living environment.

The company looked out for me big time. They really helped me when I was in a sort of negative place after a break up, and needed a place to live without fuss. It was very swift. Easy to apply, easy to get housed. I felt supported, and for a housing organisation, that’s kind of wild. I’m super grateful. I can see that they work hard and try to be as supportive as they have the capacity to be.

First time, great experience
I'd never considered living in a Guardian property before, but with LOWE, I've been able to live in a huge and very much out-of-the-ordinary building in an amazing location with great housemates at a very low cost compared to renting in the same area. This has given me the flexibility to work on my own projects in theatre and tech and focus on my career.

Reliable and caring
I've been a guardian with Lowe for about 1.5 years and I have to say it's been fantastic!
The flat I look after was in great conditions when I got in (they had really taken care of it!) and I didn't have problems with it during my staying. Bathroom and kitchen fully working, pipes in good conditions, windows are double glazed, heating fully working in every room, kitchen very clean (very clean!!), and cooker and fridge were provided! I wanted some work to be done on it and they completed it in the first weeks.
Lowe provides an excellent service, both customer service and maintenance. They have an online platform to report issues which works very efficiently! Teresa and Isaac from head office have always answered quickly to all my requests and worked hard to satisfy them! The maintenance team is great too, they are all very nice and promptly get to the property (based on priority) to fix any type of issue. They also do 1 monthly check every time, all very nice when they get in.
Lowe always looked to me a solid and serious company that you can trust and make sure you have an enjoyable and authentic guardianship.
I would definitely recommend it and remain with them till my next step!

Amazing communication and quick to sort any issues
I have lived in a Lowe property for just over 2 years. My experience has been fantastic so far and they are without a doubt better than any landlord or rental agency I have had! A big shout out to Teresa, who manages Lowe's help desk. Any maintenance issue is dealt with very quickly and Teresa's communication is always fast and friendly.
I regularly recommend being a licensee with Lowe to anyone I meet who is interested in the idea of living in a guardianship.
