€8.50 per month to use your heating. They got government money now they want more. T&C states that could go up whenever they want. Thieves and just basic evil people.

Absolutely shocking that they’re trying to charge for a product via monthly subscription which was already paid for up front. My 84 yr old vulnerable mother in law with breathing issues is now unable to switch on her heating on a cold Friday night in February and with no out of hours support that I can find I’m not sure how to help her. Horrendous company.

Took part in their SEAI trial and got the free install etc. Was promised that if I give them access to usage and previous heating accounts / participated in the trial that it would be free for life... that hasnt worked out so well now with them deciding to charge for it, even though they already got money for it from the SEAI. When they installed it the installer removed the old thermostat controller / heating controller as they said I no longer needed it. Now I will have to replace all that at the cost of a few hundred. They are essentially looking to charge their customers for what the government already paid them in grant money for. I would steer clear as they cannot be trusted. Plenty of other smart thermostats out there now that don't charge you a subscription fee.

Now wanting to charge a monthly rate to existing customers. Very disappointing.

Facebook in Ireland fined because users cannot use the service without agreeing to the new "terms and conditions" I know its a totally different application but its the same situation as hubcontroller you won't be able to use the service unless you agree to the new "terms and conditions "

Absolute joke of an Irish company, ignore emails, make promises with timelines, in the end stated they were no longer installing under the scheme (after a year of stringing us along).

Should be ashamed of yourselves.

This will save you money its a great system and easy to use, Being able to remotely control your heating is a great benefit.

This worked brilliantly in my home for years, then broke down. I was told they had no engineers working in my area so I’d have to employe an electrician myself to uninstall it and put in and ordinary switch and then send the hun back to them and they would fix it, at my cost. Need ing heat I rang an electrician who said he wasn’t touching an hun controller product that they should come out themselves to fix it! Now what do I do?

Since the system has been installed, I have had nothing but problems. The first installer messed up my heating and hot water leaving my heating constantly running for over a week (expensive, no comeback offered), the second installer made no difference, and finally, the third installer seemed to get the heating system running.
We have had hot water problems since then as the system does not heat water properly during the summer months leaving me to depend on my immersion heater which has been tripping out intermittent since they did their "work". The idea of dealing with them again sickens me, I have been quoted up to €800 to revert the system to its original state, more expense.
For a system that is supposed to save money and reduce gas usage, it is a terrible disappointment.
10 months into the experience, I would recommend avoiding without the go-ahead of your own gas heating installer, which sort of defeats the purpose of FREE.
For a project that has been funded by the state, it leaves a lot to be desired.

I got Hub Controller installed a few years ago and it's the best thing I ever done. It's brilliant my bills are definitely lower than before. It doesn't control you...you control it. I highly recommend it.

Got hub controller fitted about 18 months ago saw it advertised and thought another gimmick. How wrong I was it is the best and most simple gadget to use I have ever experienced. The peace of mind it gives me knowing that I won’t have to go home to cold house turn the heat on through the app before I get home.And even more importantly the heating will not be left on when we are out of the house. It’s thanks to hub I realise how much heating I was wasting. My oil bill has been cut by a quarter at least.

Applied for the controller and was delighted to be chosen. Fitting went fairly ok but I had to buy a booster for my internet to reach the controller so set up took a while. Manual settings worked until I got my WiFi extended.
Controller didn’t work for long and even though I called and sent emails I was left without any follow up and more importantly without heat or hot water at a cost to get an emergency plumber in to get the basics back working. I’d rather have the simple timer system that works any day.

I had my hub installed for free nearly 2years its very convenient, the remote control features are great. It works well , I recently had to use the tech support and they were very efficient.

Easy to understand and use. Saved me money and very convenient

Simple to understand the user friendly menu to setup schedules etc. On screen temperature display gives a great guideline for settings.

I've had the Hub Controller for a few years now and I wonder how I managed without it. It's so convenient and I love that I can turn on my heating while I'm on my way home. I had a few minor problems over the years and the people in Hub were very helpful and got it sorted very quickly.

We have our hub controller a couple of years now and we love it! It really makes life so much easier to manage your heating and it is very user friendly. No messing with heating timers anymore. Would highly recommend!

Hi ,I have had the Hub for a while now and I find it great. During the winter before getting home using the phone to put the heating on and walking into heat is a real plus also sitting you can put it on or off whatever suits.

The hub controller has not worked properly since it was installed. It will not work from mobile on certain occasions which is of no use.
