Travis Danzel was the Book Professionals Manager for my project. He made lots of promises but never delivered. This company has kept thousands of dollars in royalties that are due to me.
I do not recommend this company to anyone except the FBI.

I paid The Book Professionals $600.00 to build my book website. Robert managed my account, and then I paid another $800.00 for 3 months of marketing, but after 5 months, I hadn't sold one book. When I asked to talk with robert they said he was in an accident and had a head injury. I explained I couldn't get access to my website, then they explained that they were hosting it and wouldn't give me access to host it myself. I have sold 1 book in a year on my website; they now block my number and won't answer any texts. I checked their rating on BBB, and it has dropped to an F. The last time I talked to them, they laughed and said they would have Robert call me, and hung up.

Be warned NOT to do business with this company. The sales rep that pursued me made huge promises but the company never delivered. I was promised specific numbers of sales of my books but the results never came close. My initial investment had to be increased substantially for “additional services”. Foolishly I agreed to stay with the program and kept hoping for some decent revenue numbers. There were none to speak of. The people managing this company should be ashamed of their treatment of me. DO NOT under any circumstances do business with The Book Professionals. I don’t understand how this firm is even still in business. I am looking into a law suit.

I paid The Book Professionals $1,199 on October 7, 2024 to publish my book. It’s now been over a year, and I have received absolutely nothing in return — no updates, no deliverables, and no communication. Despite multiple attempts to reach them, no one responds to emails or calls.

This experience has been deeply disappointing and feels like a breach of trust. I am formally requesting a full refund of my payment. I urge other authors to be cautious before engaging with this company.

Scam or no scam
I started the publishing process with “The Book Professionals” on November 8th of 2024. It is now September 9th, 2025. After many promises and excuses, I still have not received the books I paid for. This organization is quick to take your money but extremely slow in delivering what they promised, what you paid for, and they have an excuse for everything.
The work that they did do was good, but they cannot or will not deliver the final product. I have just completed my second book and need similar services. I will not use this organization. I do not recommend “The Book Professionals” to anyone for anything. It has been a constant struggle to get them to live up to their agreement. Buyers be aware.

The journey began about 1.5 years ago the result as of today NOTHING has been produced the company is now refusing to contact me in anyway. They just ditched me. This company drew the process out a long time. When I asked about costs they avoided the topic and told me nothing. It seems that the catalyst for the discontinuation of the project was in my opinion that they would do my copyright for $399 and when I said I would do it for free that all of a sudden changed their tune. I requested edits over a month ago and when I requested a final document, they sent me the one before edits were incorporated saying I had approved it, that was the final. THERE HAD BEEN NO CHANGES or EDITS. There were blatant errors on the one they said was final. When I reached out after having them say they did the edits but in fact they did nothing, they never returned my calls at any level. I am discouraged about taking my book anywhere again. I am extremely upset with this company, and I advise you not to throw good money at them - they will not listen to you nor do any work above the minimum. What started out as a happy relationship has soured beyond belief with me holding the bag. Do NOT use them!!!!! They are shady.

Should have guessed it was too good to be true, so save your money because they are a total scam. I signed on for their book promotion, all they sent was AI-generated ads. But they never provided proof that they posted the ads anywhere. Now that the 6month window is complete (they promised to sell 3,000 books in 6 months) they are refusing to refund my money - as per the contract. The contact person is not answering messages. The website they set up as sold exact - ZERO - books through it. It is a total scam.

Listen to me carefully, if you signed or may a payment deposit, cancel your contract and ask for your money righ now. Because all the book professional is going to make with you is to take your money and time, if you don't believe me good luck

This has been the most horrible company I have ever dealt with,I hired them 9 months ago to publish a children’s book,
.This book was very special to me,it was dedicated to my only child who I lost in August 2023.I have payed them 1500.00$ and I still have no book, please save yourself not just money but also the frustration and grief !! DO not use this company!

The Book Professionals are online scammers and rip off artists

I am the victim of fraud and scam by The Book Professionals. I sent them $1800 in October and they have stalled and delayed then stopped comminicating with me. It's been 7 weeks since I last communicated with them. They have ghosted me and will not return emails or phone calls. I am going to report them to the FTC.
Never contact them or give them money as you will wind up with nothing and out your money.

The Book Professionals scammed me out of $5,000.00

Attention everybody wanting help with their book, The Book Professionals are dishonest scammers who will talk smooth and knowledgeable about helping you with your book, take your money and give you nothing in return.

I am a pastor that write a book for people struggling with addictions like many in my congestion. I found “The Book Professionals” through an online search and made contact with them.

Long story short, they said they could help with several aspects of the actualization of my book on addiction recovery. That was last September and here it is 5 almost 6 months later and nothing at all from “ The Book Professionals “

They stopped answering my calls and returning my emails back in early December. They have $5,000.00 of my money and I have nothing in return for it. I have been deceived and lied to. This is the work of “ AGENTS OF SATAN “ ! I have and will continue to pray for them and for Gods love to cleanse their souls of evilness. As a Christian, I forgive them for trespassing egregiously on me.

This is a heartfelt warning to all authors and self publishers to stay clear of The Book Professionals ! They have stolen thousands from my wife and will not respond to phone calls or emails. We have found many others out there that have fallen victim to their website, fake 5 star reviews. Please do your own research on these con-artists before giving them a call. Never give them a penny because you will wind up a victim of their scam.

I looked online last summer in 2024 for help with my book and found all the positive reviews for the book professionals and went to their website and my confidence in them was high. I reached out and received a quick response and the individual answered my questions and he sounded like he knew what I needed and was experienced in helping authors like myself.
Here it is 6 months later and I have nothing for the $6,300.00 I have paid them for writing, illustrations and marketing services I hired them for. They would come up with excuses and hand me off to new project managers and offered additional services at no extra charge for their lack of progress. The book professionals stopped answering my emails and phone calls in mid November 2024. I now believe I have been defrauded and found others online on trust pilot and google reviews who had similar experiences. Do not pay them or even contact them as they are dishonest and con-artists.

I found the book professionals back in September while looking for help in ghostwriting my travel guide book. They responded quickly and I saw all their good reviews online. I decided to go ahead and hire them with a $3,000,00 down payment. My contract included a website and illustrations for the book along with a marketing package. Here it is January 25, 2025 and I have nothing from them. They stopped responding to my emails and phone calls in early December. I feel they have ghosted me and I'm out my money. Please avoid using this company as you will probably receive the same treatment.

My girlfriend I’ve know for years from church got ripped off by The Book Professionals. She paid them a very large amount of money for help with a kids book dealing with loss and after 6 months has nothing from The Book Professionals. This company is a total dishonest group of criminals that only have a fancy website and fake reviews to fool authors wanting help with their books. If you give them money you will get nothing in return….ever.
They will send you eloquent emails of excuses and promises to appease and reassure you. This is a delay tactic so the internet is not filled with one star warning reviews of their fraud. They started in 2024 and state they have been around for years with all these accomplishments that are 100% fake. Heed my warning. The Book Professionals are a total rip-off scam criminal organization.

I used the book professionals to market my book the ultimate self help guide for the child of an Asian Tiger Mom with a pen name with zero results. Zero sales. And It’s now been more than 90 days since I’ve corresponded with the Book Professionals when they said they would refund me. There is no refund. There is no response to multiple emails and voice mails. And texts. Just a notification from Trust Pilot because they want to take the review down. I am waiting for a letter from the CA attorney general's office to investigate them for fraud (submitted). Bottom line: do not use them. They waste your time and take your money with nothing in return. There is no refund. There is no promotion. DO NOT USE THEM.

I hired The Book Professionals to do marketing for me. When nothing was happening, I asked them to email me a copy of the ad they said they'd placed. That was in early October. Now, in December, they still haven't sent it. I missed another copy deadline, and had to hire someone else to create my ad. I don't recommend this company.
