I got the full analysis and - having had some pre-conceived notions about my coloring - I was mainly looking for some direction. The results surprised me - I got a different color season than I have come to believe I am. And then, upon inspection of my makeup drawer, it all made sense! I have since started implementing the advice I got, and I'm already super happy - I lightened my hair for the first time ever, I streamlined my wardrobe and got some new pieces, and finally, it all makes sense. I can't wait to implement it all. This was a much-needed fresh perspective on my look and style at about a fourth of the price of a similar service in my country. Highly recommend!

I had a really good experience! It took a tiny bit longer than expected but I was informed about it and once I did receive my order it was very thorough. The analysis gave me so much joy and validation around the colours I should be using. It made me excited about make up again and made me totally rethink my wardrobe. I have used this service twice and both times have been absolutely thrilled with the results and recommendations. In fact, since I’ve done it twice about a year apart so I can say with certainty that not only is this completely worth the cost, but That Girl Concept has improved and expanded its recommendations and services without increasing the cost.

1) Fast Results - My results were sent to me within 15 days even though in the original email it explicitly states it can take up to 3 weeks. I sent a follow up note only to check to see what the estimated delivery date was, and ThatGirlConcept immediately sent my guide. This is a craft that can take time to do and I think it’s important to honor that time. Even with saying that, she was so speedy and I’m beyond excited about my results!
2) Guide Quality - I was not expecting to receive such a detailed guide. It included everything from my body type and color season to what hairstyles and how I should do my make up and even style my eyebrows. The suggestions I got weren’t ground breaking, but it was great to confirm my color season and what makeup is most complimentary to my features. I will 100% be using this as a reference for when I order clothes/makeup, which was my goal to get out of this anyways.
3) Responsiveness - The owner was SO responsive to all of my emails, even when I asked her to share what sunglasses or bronzer would work with my skin. I appreciated that because it really showed her authenticity and that this isn’t a scam.

This was so easy- just like it was advertised, and I actually trust the results! If you're on the fence, just do it. You won't get more accurate results anywhere.

I just thought it was interesting to get a second opinion on what flatters me. I do think she uses some AI and apps to make the guide, it also makes sense to be that some of her guides are prewritten and that she selected the one she thinks works for the client. I liked the results.

I’m so grateful I did my full analysis with her. She covered my body type, facial features, hair, makeup, and full color palette, and it was well worth the wait. Her guidance has been truly invaluable. I’ve been slowly implementing all the changes she suggested and it’s already made such a difference. That girl concept states she offered me a refund, when I requested the refund this is the word for word email i got in return

This is misleading practice. You offered a refund, process the refund and dont pull reviews that accurate of your poor work.
In the original offer of a refund the removal of my review was not stated.
This company is horrific.

A business cannot legally require a customer to give a positive review before providing a refund, especially for a faulty product or service. Refund policies that link a refund to a positive review are often seen as a misleading or unfair practice and can violate consumer law, which protects consumers' rights to a refund or repair if a product is faulty or not fit for purpose.

Faulty products: consumers are legally entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair if a product is faulty, not of acceptable quality, or doesn't match its description. A business cannot take away this right with a "no refund" policy or by requiring a positive review.

You only refunded AFTER my emails stating that you can not offer a refund for a review to be removed.
I stated facts about my experience with you.
You did not actively email, you attempted to assign blame and take no responsibility.
You only processed the refund after 4-5 emails stating that you cannot request the review to be removed.
My last email to you was requesting proof of refund, which you sent and I did not reply.
That does not constitute harrassment or defamation.

You consistently deflects blame, twist the truth and attempt to gaslight your consumers "you are misinterpreting words to fit your agenda" this is not the case at all and what I have posted here was a direct copy of one of a few of the requests you sent to remove my review.

I really wanted to like this service, but the whole experience left me disappointed.
The person I dealt with was polite to begin with, but the makeover I received wasn’t great.
I specifically said I didn’t want a ginger/orange-toned hair colour, yet that’s exactly what I got in the first mock-up — and it didn’t suit my skin tone at all. I have no issue with undertones or colour seasons; the issue was simply that it was the colour I had explicitly asked not to receive.

I asked for a revision with a brunette style, and when that came through, I realised it was identical to something I’d created myself for free using a trial of FaceTune. I therefore saw no point asking for a second revision and decided to leave a review and take it as a lesson learnt.

The Instagram page gives the impression that this is a bespoke, hand-edited service using Photoshop or similar, which can take up to three weeks (I appreciate this may not explicitly be stated anywhere).

But the image I received is not the level of work I’d expect to pay £30+ for and was identical to something I’d made myself. Had I realised that’s all it was going to be, or read Trustpilot beforehand, I wouldn’t have purchased.

The website says no refunds, and reading other reviews it’s clear any negative reviews just seem to be called fake or become argumentative without the genuine issue being addressed, which doesn’t feel fair. Overall, the service felt misleading and not worth the money in my opinion, though I appreciate it may have worked better for others.

I’d appreciate it if the company did not respond to this review, as it’s a genuine and honest reflection of my experience. Looking at other low-star reviews, sadly it doesn’t seem responses go well.

Update:
After leaving this review, the seller contacted me privately and stated that she would only refund me if I deleted my review first. I explained that I would amend the review to note the issue had been resolved once the refund was processed, but I will not be deleting it, as that would not fairly represent my experience or align with Trustpilot guidelines.

The issues I raised were not about my undertone or season, but about the service not matching the advertised examples, the result resembling something created via a free trial of an AI app, and the overall experience not feeling worth the price.

I am sharing this for transparency so future customers can make an informed decision. I will have no further interactions with this business via Trustpilot or email.

I love love love the analysis I got! That Girl Concept is genuinely so talented and her responses are so fast, especially when I needed some clarification and assurance. I have never felt so confident and sure about the way I look. The guide has made me fall in love with my natural features even more! And all of the concerns I once had, I am no longer worried about.

I am shocked to see the negative reviews, and when looking through them, it’s clear that people have not been reading the guidelines and rules around the process neither are they being patient.

Overall, I’m happy with what I got. I’m reading some people are upset or wanted more but listen, what do you expect when this is done digitally and the price point is not super high? if you want something more customized then maybe consider paying for an in person consultation. Got my colour analysis completely wrong. I look awful in the colours suggested - both clothes and make-up recommendations. I requested that she review and provide an amended guide, but she refused. Sadly, it was a complete waste of time and money.

This is not a fake review as alleged. However, the provider has since contacted me to discuss the matter. I'm hoping we can resolve the issue, and I will update my review once we have liaised further.
