I built an extension at home of just over 90m2 which was essentially one large room of 8m X 12m. I was keen not to use 1000 small planks and called Ted Todd.
They made me a floor with 60 percent in the 4m X 300mm size and the remainder in the 2.5m to 3.5m range. This meant that there were two boards in lots of runs and it looks amazing.
Their design centre sent me a number of samples, all to my taste, and I picked a bleached and anti UV finish as I wanted a light floor that wouldn't yellow.
The local reseller, who supplied the floor, then sent their fitters to fit it over a 4 day period, including some tricky cuts around the drum. All in all 10/10 for service, product and support.

From start to finish, we were kept informed as to when the delivery would arrive . Carrier was excellent. Beautiful flooring. What's not to like

Just had the most beautiful Ted Todd floor fitted, had hallway and lounge done years ago in Ted Todd and still looks perfect and then they have matched dining area, I can’t praise enough!! Love it!!!

We are thrilled with the outcome, a true testament to their commitment to quality and authenticity. All the Oak used was reclaimed so it has a true feel under the foot.

Our 18th-century Italian-style home demanded flooring that married authenticity with modern comforts like underfloor heating. After a thorough search, only Ted Todd met the standard, harmonising beautifully with the home’s historical elements.

I first used Ted Todd 10 years ago when we moved house and that floor still looks amazing so when we decided to extend our kitchen, they were our first call. As the price of the extension started to escalate, we did shop around (on everything) to see where we could save money but kept coming back to Ted Todd as the product was far superior and we felt the floor was something we wouldn’t change again. I am so glad we did!
I dealt with Louise who was very helpful and knowledgeable, the order process was easy and she explained how to measure and factor in wastage and at the end of the fit we were left with one and half planks so her calculations were accurate.
We ordered the tubs of adhesive in the quantity recommended by Louise but is was obvious immediately that as the floor was newly screed it was absorbing it very quickly. I called Louise and she arranged for me to return the unopened tubs for a full refund and suggested I use their ‘sausages’ which I collected that day.
Part way through the job, I decided to extend the floor into the utility to create the flow and with the fitters already on site we were short on time. Louise arranged for next day delivery giving me time to allow the wood to acclimatise which she had advised was crucial to prevent the floor from expanding and buckling after fitting. At the end of the job I was able to again return the unopened adhesives for a full refund. The floor looks fantastic and even the builders commented numerous times, it was the best they have ever seen. It probably gets more comments from guests than my actual kitchen! Thank you, great product and great service.

Good looking floor, but I have been left with 7 unopened boxes as advised for wastage value over £1000 because it’s more than 30 days I can’t return it.

Ordered a herringbone floor. Their retailer over ordered the quantity, when I queried it they said it was needed due to wastage. Now I am left with several unopened boxes worth ~£400 and the retailer won't refund, and Ted Todd won't help despite it saying on their Ts and Cs that they will accept unopened boxes for return. My floor does look great but I feel that I have been shafted. Edit post their reply. You could easily make a gesture here and turn an angry disappointed customer into a happy one. But no, you choose a condescending reply boasting about how good your flooring is and hide behind the retailers Ts and Cs - incidentally they blamed you guys for not taking returns. As to wastage I take your point but I am left with flooring which is more than 12% of the floor area in question.

After finding out at the Cheshire showroom that most of the wood is shipped in from China, you can see that it definitely looks like laminate . The customer service is terrible and waste of my fuel money to get there.

We purchased 40sq metres of engineered wood flooring with the real oak veneer. No doubting the absolute quality of the product. What let them down is the pretty poor and arrogant service from some of their staff (not all). The original delivery date )which was critical) was missed and our contractor had to pick up all the wood in his van which was a killer. We also had to wait an extra week for the trims and it was quite a rude fiasco when we went in to pick them up. Luckily one of the staff cared enough to really help us. We spent an absolute fortune on the product and still felt like it just didn’t matter. Imagine if Ted Todd could match their brilliant product with a world class service ethic?

Five stars to Ted Todd for their high-quality product and helpful attention to detail. We had a brilliant experience with Phill and colleagues who went out of their way to help. We bought a large quantity of Paperback engineered wood flooring directly from Ted Todd for a new build house. The flooring itself is beautiful and we are very pleased with it. Ted Todd stored the flooring for us for several months while the house was being built, which was a great help to us. They did not ask for any payment. Phill recommended an excellent installer for us and worked with the installer to sort out mistakes that I made when ordering the flooring (I ordered the wrong glue and underlay). He organized the deliveries and kept us fully informed at all times. After installation, we needed some threshold strips. Phill prepared them and sent them out free of charge. Such a big job with very uncertain timelines could have been a nightmare, but Ted Todd and Phill made it easy. Thank you!

The product is great sadly we had a disappointing service experience. After ordering and receiving a couple of samples that looked great but colour wasn’t quite right I contacted Ted Todd’s to get another couple of samples sent for us to make a final decision. Unfortunately I got fobbed off by a disinterested customer service advisor and told to contact a fitter or retailer who would order samples for me, despite the website allowing you to order samples directly. It felt very poor service and has unfortunately put me off this company as a supplier for our new flooring so I will have to look elsewhere.

We've just had a new wooden floor installed in our living room and we couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the product and the service we received from Ted Todd.

After looking around for over a year and contemplating whether to go for a standard laminate flooring or paying that little but more for a better quality flooring, we took the plunge and purchased our flooring from Ted Todd.

This company is second to none with their customer service, great communication, and the product is amazing and well worth the price. The fitter who installed the floor has done a fantastic job and that's not easy on a 110 year old terraced house where all the floors and walls are uneven.

I so can't say enough about this company, their product and their fitting service other than, WOW and that's a 5 star plus from me 👍

Excellent product , the customer is so very happy with the results. Delivery experience with Palletways means we will have to find a different manufacturer which is a shame.
