Had issues a few years back decided to give another go, even though customer care was not great, actually non existent in hindsight, when delivery failed for a birthday, but thought may have been a one off.
This order was Christmas thank you’s, arrived half melted and falling apart. Poorly packaged for transit not the couriers fault.
Ordered 3 chocolate bouquets, can salvage 1 …. guess will have to eat the rest when I get back from shopping for replacement gifts to give, a star for the chocolates I get to eat now.
Would not order via this company again sadly and would not recommend , maybe should only offer same region same day only vs trying to facilitate orders not in immediate vicinity when quality can not be guaranteed.

The whole idea of “express delivery”especially when paying extra for it means quick delivery, typically 1–2 days. However, that was not the case with my recent order.
I placed an order Sunday night for my friend, and it didn’t arrive until Thursday. The courier apparently attempted delivery on Wednesday, but I never received any notification from them. I only know from my Apple ID saying the address “wasn’t found.” As soon as I saw that, I contacted the company to ask what was going on and what their plan was for redelivery. After all, there’s a contact number for a reason (well I assumed so) to communicate with customers when there’s an issue with a delivery.
Their response was disappointing. I was told “too bad, it’ll be at the post office,” even after I explained that this was a surprise gift for my friend who is unable to walk , does long shifts and completed her degree. That’s whole reason why I ordered online and paid extra for express delivery. They said they’d call me back within an hour after contacting the delivery service, but two hours went by with no response. I had to call them again, and was told “it might be delivered tomorrow.” I confirmed the address (which is completely valid), and they said they had it on record. The tone and attitude was very poor towards how I was advocating for myself and for my friend to receive this well deserved parcel as a surprise.
Thankfully, the delivery partner later called me directly (maybe because I did say to the company how crappy their service is and if my friend dosen’t receive it by Friday how I’ll have to escalate). I double-checked everything with the deliver partner and he was absolutely lovely, he confirmed the address and reassured me it would be delivered first thing the next morning. Thanks to him, my friend finally received her parcel today.
But honestly, never again. The company’s customer service was unhelpful, communication was poor, and the “express” service was far from express. I’d like a partial refund, as I paid extra for a service I clearly did not receive. I could have chosen standard delivery and had it arrive in the same timeframe.

While the product was what we expected and my Aunt was happy. We were not happy as it was 5 days late. And communication between from the company was terrible. No apology or explanation as to the delay. Emails went unanswered.

At this stage, guaranteed next day delivery. Try three days. Missed the birthday and experience. After hours service non existent. Website and prices look awesome. Certainly don’t met expectations or promises.

My bereavement gift hamper was never delivered. I would not have known this had I asked how it was to the person I sent it to. The hamper was back at Tastebuds and I had to chase it a month later only to be told I had to pay a redelivery fee. No-one contacted me even though both star track and tastebuds had all my contact info. This is deceptive !

Absolute rubbish experience. All the claims of 1 business day delivery are FALSE. My son sent a parcel to his Uncle to be received on his birthday on 15/08/2025. The track n trace stated - estimated delivery date to be 14/08/2025. But the surprise was ruined as nothing was delivered to him. There were repeated text exchanges with the chatbot on the site and we wanted the money back. There were emails sent too and they said we would receive a refund. It’s 20/08/2025 and nothing has happened. On the contrary, they delivered it today.
A bitter, bitter experience from NZ.Think twice before spending your money.

I ordered a gift hamper from Taste Buds, expecting a thoughtful and timely delivery. Instead, I experienced one of the most frustrating and disappointing customer service interactions I’ve ever had.
The gift was:
* Delivered to the wrong address — not to the intended recipient, but left at a neighbour’s house.
* Delivered a day earlier than scheduled, completely ruining the timing of the gesture.
* Dropped off without any contact or confirmation, despite being a prepaid and tracked order.
Even after I provided clear evidence — including the recipient confirming they never received it — the company insisted it had been delivered based on a generic Proof of Delivery photo. They refused to take meaningful responsibility for the failed experience and instead passed the blame to their courier, StarTrack.
What made matters worse was the lack of proactive support. I had to send multiple follow-ups over several weeks just to get basic responses, and the burden of resolving the issue was placed entirely on me.
Eventually, they issued a refund, but by that point, the purpose of the gift had long been lost, and the experience had already been deeply frustrating.
Since this incident, I’ve come across many similar complaints from other customers — especially around delivery problems, poor communication, and lack of accountability. It’s clear this is not an isolated case.
If you’re considering using Taste Buds for a meaningful or time-sensitive gift, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This company may offer attractive hampers, but their service and delivery reliability are simply not worth the risk.

I ordered a gift for my friend’s birthday which was on the 25th July today is the 29th & it’s yet to still arrive when I contacted customer service via email & phone ohh sorry we will look into it obviously they don’t give a F. Then I do get a call yesterday 28th at 5:33pm from a men with a very strong Indian accent telling me we have delivered your gifts I’m like ok mate what address did you deliver to he replied ohhh the address you gave I’m like ok which is his reply ohhh we deliver to wrong address 1st now correct I said so where did u deliver to he said craigeburn I said mate that’s not the correct address he said he will call back which obviously hasn’t happened. I used to always order from Roses Only which was good only reason I chose these guys was their price & promise for prompt delivery like they someone once said “I'm not rich, I can't afford to buy cheap"

Unreliable in not delivering on the dates they have sold to you and then acting like you should have known that the dates they let you select on their website for delivery and charged you $17 shipping for weren't possible. Customer service also incredibly useless which made the whole experience of using this business deeply unpleasant.

I ordered and paid for the Chandon Rose Pamper Hamper, the hamper that was delivered was a cheaper hamper. There was a number of items missing. The items that are missing was the reason I purchased the hamper. I am not happy and will not be using Taste Buds again and I will be telling all my colleagues, family and friends to stay away from this company. How could they get it so wrong.
