Very disappointed with the aftercare…
Very disappointed with the aftercare service provided by Taskers. I have known the business since a child and always seen Taskers above the rest for quality and service, until now. After visiting many other retailers for a new sofa we went to Taskers and yes found out ideal sofa and ordered it straight away. We was told to expect delivery by 24th of May some time away however we agreed it's worth the wait. This week (3 weeks before ETA) I received an email from the Operations Manager saying there is a delay and wont be in the country until the end of June. As we prefer to speak to people instead of digital communication we phoned Taskers on Monday the Manager was not available but promised a call back. No call back Monday or Tuesday so today Wednesday we called them back and still unable to speak with the manager however the representative told us that it's out of there hands and they can't do anything. We realise there is not much people can do if the item is being shipped however I always measure customer service on how a business deals with customers and delays. Unfortunately I feel so let down of the lack of communication and aftercare service.
If this is the standard of Taskers in 2026 I will not be going back.

I've just taken delivery of 3 pieces of furniture. A 3 seater a 1.5 seater and an armchair. Despite there being a significant error on taskers behalf on promised delivery time ,Ivor the managing director got involved and resolved the situation to an acceptable conclusion. Overall I am happy with the service I have received and will shop at taskers again.

Customer service as good as the old days!
My mum bought lots of new furniture from Taskers when renovating the house and in that was a beautiful dining table with 6 chairs. The leather on 2 of the chairs unfortunately started to crack. We called taskers and the first amazing thing to happen was that you get through to a person rather than AI. The lady was incredibly helpful and replaced all 6 chairs free of charge just in case they were a faulty batch. All the other furniture has been amazing and looks so beautiful.
From the visits to stores where we had lovely hot chocolate in the winter to the aftercare I can’t recommend them enough.
Highly recommended service for an online customer
I contacted Tasker’s after an online search, to see if they could order me some replacement cushions for my Tetrad sofa. I was unaware of the company before that.
My request was passed to Dan, who was able to source what I needed and arrange for delivery to my home address. I do not live in the north west and so I was unsure exactly how easy this process would be. Dan organised the delivery to Darlington with no fuss: a quote was sent and I made payment online. The items were ordered and they arrived two days ago – well within the six week window that was advised. I would highly recommend Taskers based on my experience. It was a very professional and seamless operation from start to finish and I couldn’t be happier.

The staff in the store were extremely welcoming, friendly and informative without being pushy in any way and did not try to sell us anything. Just very helpful if we needed them. We knew exactly what we wanted before we went into the shop. Ordered the suite and now await delivery which is around 18 weeks and we expected this time frame. Cannot review the suite yet of course.
New mattress
We were greeted very pleasantly and directed to the bed department. Bernie discussed our needs and recommended a couple of mattresses. We were very pleased with the service and price.

The staff who delivered the goods were very helpful and well timed. Putting the furniture where we asked for it to be placed.
Communication before the delivery was none existent. We had only just noticed the date for delivery was many weeks away so we rang to ask if it was accurate only to be told that delivery was scheduled for the Friday of the week we rang. We had planned a weekend away and would therefore not be at home to take delivery. This was then rearranged to a more suitable date. My fear is that if we had not rung then delivery may have been attempted a few times whilst we were away. I don't know if we would then have been charged for a failed delivery. Better communication would have been better and had indeed been promised when we visited the store and made the purchase.
