We have now had three holidays from Tailor Made and they are always excellent! Everything is so well organised. Tickets, reservations, hotels, all done for you and sent in good time arranged by day so you can't go wrong. We were a bit concerned that the amount of time allowed to catch a connection in Germany was too short (we're a bit old for sprinting) but Paul, who did all our booking and planning for us, changed the train times within an hour or two and we had much more time.
We did have a potential problem this time, (caused by the railways not by Tailor Made) but I phoned Paul, and had good advice about what to do if we had to miss our connection in Paris. In the end, we did just make it!
If you want an independent holiday without the hassle of sorting out timetables and bookings in several countries or trawling through web sites for hotels, we would thoroughly recommend Tailor Made Rail!

TMR chose good and convenient hotels and managed the itinerary very well. They were flexible and made good arrangements in face of an Italian rail strike one day.

Simply doing the planning and booking was a great help. The choice of hotels was good. The one mistake was quickly rectified (although it was a bit tense). Some notes need to be updated and this is in hand.

We went to Spain by train for 24 days in September. The team at Tailor Made Rail devised an itinerary for our trip and made amendments according to our preferences (e.g. not starting too early in the mornings). They also booked excellent hotels in convenient locations. The information arrived in good time and everything was very clearly set out. The trip was great and we would definitely use this company again for future trips.

Great train holiday to Sestri Levante, check on the Tailor Made Rail website for ideas, then ask the team, where we would like to go , how long for, and when and they reply very quickly, with ideas and a quote. Once agreed, tickets, timings, hotels and instructions how to reach the hotels follow. Plus they are only a phone call or email away in case of problems. Hotels are always 1st class, along with train journeys.
This was our 5th trip that Tailor Made Rail arranged for us, never failed to be impressed. Thank you.

TMR were helpful from start to finish. Everything was well organised with tickets and hotel bookings arriving 10 days or so in advance of our journey. The hotels were all good. Train connections gave us adequate time to cross Paris and Madrid. We had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday - far more restful than driving down to Seville.

Tailor Made Rail were attentive to our needs and we were able to quickly come to an agreed itinerary. The Travel Pack was excellent showing what happened on each day of our holiday, with the necessary tickets, seat reservations and hotel vouchers attached. What was particularly useful was the link from each hotel voucher to Google Maps giving directions from the station to the hotel. The standard of each hotel was better than expected and we received a warm welcome at each, The buffet breakfasts provided a good start to each day. The train journeys ran smoothly and, even when one train was an hour late, we were still able to make the connection to the next leg of the journey. We will certainly (already have) recommend TMR to any of our friends/colleagues who show an interest in this type of holiday.

Tailor Made Rail put together a fantastic trip for us, which included First Class train journeys and 4* hotels. We were away for 10 days traveling from UK to Cinque Terre, Italy, then returning via Cannes and Paris, France eventually to the UK.
Everything was wonderful. I would just suggest that you check the train ticket timings, as several were very tight and, it appears, Italian trains are generally late.

We went from North Wales to Istanbul staying at Stuttgard Vienna Bucharest and down to Istanbul we stayed at wonderful hotels and had some wonderful experiences. The information from Taylor made Rail was so easy to follow The only downside was the overnight trains which were quite basic.but we really enjoyed our holiday thank you

Our Tailor Made Tail holiday was excellent, right from the first enquiry throughout the arranging and booking processes, and finally to an enquiry we had whilst in Istanbul. Tailor Made Rail listen to what we want, gently advise when we ask for more than we are capable of doing, deliver a schedule promptly, allow us time to come up with the money we need to pay them, let us know during our trip if trains are cancelled and send us alternative times of trains when our trains are delayed and we miss our connections.

Helpful forward planning of best connecting train routes and times, which means one can be independent whilst feeling secure about arrangements
