If i can leave zero stars - i would love to . This bank it total scam , please stay away from them !
you buy mattress and the store will tell you that you can pay in 3 years. You will think that total amount is split in right amount when you get first invoice . But that will be minimum, that has nothing to do with right split.In 3 years you wont be reminded by this scammers that you will be charges 34.99 % of interest now . And Voilà - you are getting couple thousands more added to your balance to feed this scammer. If you can stay away from them - please do . No surprise they have 1 star here . It is absolutely deserved

April 22nd went to buy something and the charge was declined. Went to the app to find out all 11 of my accounts were closed with no notification. No late payments, more than the minimum payments, early payoff on my accounts and they closed them all with some of them with a balance. I’ve worked so hard to get my credit score up to 700+ and with this it’s going to make my credit usage go up which will probably make my credit score go down. This company has no concern about things like this causes a negative impact on the consumer and all I got from customer service and a letter I got on the 24th is a high risk account please explain to me what that means when I know I’ve done everything right with them for years….

Would leave -10 if I could. Account was transferred to this company from AMEX and it’s absolutely horrible. Did not receive account # or card. They will not accept a payment until they do send me the card which will make my payment late. They say they cannot request the card to be expedited because they aren’t the person that ordered the card. The person that ordered the card hung up on me… I CANT pay my payment because they refuse to accept it. Absolute garbage. Will be paying off the balance and CLOSING this account as soon as possible.

Dropped my credit lines via paypal and care credit to what i owed (at the same time) with no warning prior so i could pay balances beforehand, leaving me with 97% and %96 utilization and dropping my credit score exceptionally. Garbage company.

2 issues about a yr ans a half ago my savings account was hacked completely. Syncrony bank refused to help me until i logged in on my home computor and i was in FL and i live in Md. Needless to say i came home and when the $49k was put back in my account i closed it. now my Sams CC has along with my personal info has been hacked almost 9k, my address, phone,email all changed and they are treating me as the badguy. They have a link that they send that you have to proof who you are and it does not work. so the bank is sending me letter. now if my address has been changed hpw will i get that letter? to be continued 04/23

By far the most ignorant, rude, incompetent staff! Their practices are borderline criminal.

NOthing but problems with a credit line and credit card issued through Synchrony with the PayPal logo. Sudden and random credit limit decreases, misplaced payments, poor customer service, slow and problematic website.... decrease letters stating due to 'my Venmo usage' (???) ... I learned of the last decrease through a FICO alert and got their letter 3 days later. (Mind you, good credit scores, no late payments)

I called Synchrony Bank 2 weeks ago to argue a charge that shouldn't have been added on my canceled Lowe's card. Today I got an email saying that they lowered my credit limit on my Sam's Club Elite Master card from $1500 to $430 which is only $20 more than what I owe. So I canceled my card and will never do business with Synchrony bank or any business that offers credit through Synchrony Bank.

I had to give 2 stars just to write a review ! That should say enough . They constantly run your credit throughout your time with them FOR NO REASON bringing it down. Mix and match customer service reps today I had someone really nice , last week awful ! It’s always something with these people !!!!!!!!!!! Will be so excited when I’m DONE with them

I was almost done paying off my cc loan . I was unware I had till a certain date to pay off cc. They hit me with additional 9k. I was furious . No emails, No updates. Interest is sky high. DO NOT GO WITH THEM EVER. SEEK CREDIT ANYWHERE ELSE. THIS INCLUDES ALL SYNCRONY CARE CREDIT, SYNCRONY HOME. SYNCRONY AUTOMOBILE.

1 star is too high. Someone on the inside was using our credit card as soon as a new one was activated. This happened a few times before we caught on to the scam. Absolutely horrible entity. Financial institutions have a fiduciary responsibility to their customers & this company is the farthest thing from responsible.

This company is laugh outloud AWFUL, and it's no surprise it has this appallingly bad rating, which would and should sink any reputable company and force it to shut down. I just applied for credit for Lasik surgery for $10,000 because I can but don't want to pay cash for the procedure. I have a very high net worth, own multiple properties that are completely paid for that I collect rent on every month, have nearly NO debt, and my FICO hovers between 820-850. Synchrony turned me down online within 20 seconds. I intend to contact the head of the business office tomorrow at the major Orange County medical facility whose business office referred Synchrony to me--since they are one of the biggest in the OC--to tell them they should immediately stop insulting THEIR paying clients who have procedures done through their medical group, procedures that make THEM money, by offering as their only "credit" option such a GARBAGE company. When I think about someone like me, who has worked for 60+ years very hard to get to where he is, and if I'm turned down, then who on God's earth WILL Synchrony approve and lend to? Don't waste your time, they are TRASH.

This is a horrible company. No respect for customers. They dropped my credit line even though I was making my payments on time. They then closed my account. Customer service does not care to help. I would never bank with them again.

I strongly recommend thinking twice before opening a store card with this company. I signed up because of a promotional discount, but the experience quickly turned into a headache.

After receiving the card, I made a couple of payments and then misplaced it since I rarely used it. When I tried to get help, reaching customer service was extremely difficult—I spent about 40 minutes on hold. When I finally got through, the representative was unhelpful and dismissive.

I asked for online account access so I could simply pay off the balance and close the account, but I was told they couldn’t even set that up. At that point, it felt like they were making it harder than necessary to resolve a simple issue.

Overall, the lack of support, long wait times, and inability to manage my account easily made this a very frustrating experience. I would caution others to be careful before signing up.

Be careful as this bank charges "trailing interest" which prevents you from ever being done. I even paid through customer service and aksed if I am done with payments and was told yes. After another moth went by, I got this late notice saying I owe interest which was the "trailing interest"! I paid that and now they are harrasing me more interest of $6 and they are affecting my credit score! STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK!

Agents are clueless. Agents lie and make up departments to act like they are assisting you and give you the thought that you’re talking to someone else. They’ll lie give terrible advice that only ends up hurting you in the long wrong. Have excuses for everything. They can’t talk to you about your own info on the phone unless you have a letter first - crazy. Their app and log in process online is absolutely terrible. Agents contradict other agents. 10/10 wouldn’t use again.

Do not get a credit card of any kind through this bank they are the worst ! Even if you make payments on time they give you credit than lower it down to nothing they are horrible!

I don't do credit. I bought my last vehicle in 2007 with cash. I signed with synchronybank.com to get a discount with amazon.com. When I signed up I used a short, weak password. synchronybank.com WILL NOT ALLOW me to change it. Their online support is useless. This is so far away from best practices, it is unbelievable.
