Cynical auto renew policy! Took out insurance for a fixed 3 month…
Took out insurance for a fixed 3 month period with start and finish dates.
The default setting is autorenew! This forces you to open an account and then waste more time searching for the area in settings where you can change this.
What a thoughtless and cynical approach to selling a cheap fixed term policy!
Absolutely NO excuse for this. If I could have been bothered I would have gone elsewhere.
Many other people have complained about this in reviews but company has not changed this money grabbing approach. Poor!!

Auto-renew is enabled by default because the vast majority of our customers want to avoid gaps in their cover, and we receive more complaints when policies don't renew automatically than when they do. We understand it may not be right for everyone, which is why it's easy to turn off, the toggle is on the first page of your policy in My Account.
You do not need to create an account; however, if you would prefer not to. You can simply send an email or call our contact centre to request this if you would prefer not to do so.
Our 3-month policies start at under £5 a month, significantly less than many storage units charge. And if a policy has been renewed unexpectedly, we offer a 14-day cancellation window with no fees or charges.
We hope that, on reflection, you feel our service provides value for money rather than the opposite.
