From start to finish, the whole driving lesson experience was brilliant. Mark Hawtin was so friendly, put our son at ease instantly and he learned so much right from lesson 1. Booking lessons was so easy on the app. With each lesson, he had so many good tips and ways to boost his confidence behind the wheel. As a result of Mark’s encouraging and positive attitude towards teaching, our son passed first time. Thank you Mark!

William berkley managed to help me pass by explaining nearly a whole crash course within 6 hours he was extremely helpful and very clear and made extreme efforts to make sure I would pass fitting me in wherever he could

What a great experience we’ve had with Surepass. No wonder Mark Hawtin won instructor of the year last year, he is an exceptional instructor who instantly made my daughter feel at ease, building her confidence and knowledge each lesson. His personable approach really helped my daughter pay attention to what he was teaching her for both the theory and practical tests. His knowledge outside of the car with the recent changes to test bookings was also extremely helpful and he definitely goes over and above! Definitely should be the winner again this year, Surepass are very lucky to have Mark representing them!

I hadn't ridden for 30 years and decided to get back into it. Surepass gives a free refresher lesson to determine your requirements. A date was arranged and Matt was brilliant. Put me straight onto a Kawasaki 650 and talked me through all the slow speed manoeuvring. He spent 50 mins with me before deciding no further paid lessons were required. Excellent service.

Mark Hawtin in Northampton, has been an absolute diamond teaching my daughter to drive. She is a shy girl and Mark made her feel calm and confident. She said she always felt at ease and he taught her in a way she really understood and could retain.
They had very regular driving lessons and Mark was always around for clear communication about lessons and pricing.
My daughter has absolutely loved having driving lessons and was always buzzing when she came in from them. He gave her positive feedback which really helped to build her confidence well. Booked a 10 hour course with tomas in doncaster. He was an amazing instructor talked me through everything and gave me little pointer that helped me throughout the 10 hours and passed this morning with 1 minor.

Had my cbt day course on Wednesday was so so nervous as id never even sat on a motorbike/scooter before . The guys where very welcoming and I was made too feel fully at ease throughout the day even thou it rained most of it was a really enjoyable experience. And full of laughs along the way couldn't if been better .

Mark was a fantastic teacher, helped me pass within just 4 months of turning 17. he never once raised his voice or got angry with mistakes I made he simply just explained the cause and how to fix them. Had such a laugh with Mark and really looked forward to my lessons each week.

Really recommend Mark Hawtin! I had around a months worth of lessons with mark leading up to my test after moving from another instructor and have to say boosted my confidence massively! He’s very calm and patient durning lessons and I thoroughly enjoyed every second of them! Ended up passing first time with only 1 minor which I feel like wouldn’t of been possible without marks help!

Terrible experience with Surepass. They took my deposit of £82 and then went silent for over a week until I rang them and the office was completely unhelpful, said they've assigned an instructor and gave me his number but the instructor doesn't reply to messages. They booked my test (£62) for 4 months time and told me they "don't do cancellations" (to find an earlier test date) and told me it’ll be months before I can even start learning, yet they refuse to refund the £20 difference for services they have not and cannot provide in a reasonable timeframe. Avoid this school if you actually want to get on the road!

Edit: I would also like to point out that this fell within the 14 day cooling off period which they told me does not apply in this case as per their terms and conditions.

Hey Janine! Thank you so much for being a great instructor which resulted in me passing my test the first time. You had a great approach to classes where you challenged me enough to get the hard stuff out of the way early so everything else felt easy. I also appreciated the constant safety approach in your teaching. You gave really in depth explanation to everything and had a very precise execution to every lesson. But most importantly, when your approach no longer worked for me, you were willing to change, adapt and find new ways that really helped me and help improve my driving skills. And the result was a first time pass with 6 minors. I was extremely proud of this and I am so grateful that you got me from not being in a car to a first time test in 35 hours. Thank you so much!

Mark Hawtin was an outstanding instructor for our son. He instantly put him at ease, giving him the confidence and knowledge to build on his skills week after week. We couldn’t have asked for a better instructor for him!

If you want someone to teach you calmly, gives you that extra push and confidence and still allows you to go at your own pace. This is it. Surepass driving school is the place. I just passed

In 2016 I paid over £2k to surepass for driving instructor training.
The trainer kept going sick, and I completely lost my flow for my part 3 training.
After complaining to head office, they did nothing, and I parted ways with the company after the trainer would not take any more sessions as apparently my complaint caused stress to him.
The company never refunded me or offered a solution.
The post is going up now as I see the company is still trading and offering packages less for what I paid for years ago.

My daughter passed her test first time on 6th March. Her instructor was Mark Hawtin in the Northampton area. We couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. Mark was reliable, patient, calm, encouraging, reassuring and knew exactly how to get the best out of her. She really enjoyed her lessons and became a confident, safe driver. On test day she was so well prepared and Mark kept her grounded, calm and confident. I highly recommend Mark and more importantly, so would my daughter.
