It's a shame you can't give 0 zero stars. An absolutely shambolic company. I was looking for a new front door, chatted with the agents online back in March, all seemed professional and promising. The agent came out, measured up, we chose our door - all was good. There were some errors on the contract regarding the door shape, but I was assured over the phone that they knew it was an error and they knew what we wanted. Paid the deposit (my mistake). Told 13 week wait. Surveyor came in April, so far so good. It was an unusual shape and size door, but he seemed confident that it was fine. There are numerous houses in our street and on our estate (it's an arched door and frame). He said he'd put it into the computer and check it was OK. I heard nothing back so assumed all was well. Fast forward to July and I've heard nothing. I emailed the lady I'd originally paid the deposit to. No answer. A week later I rang and was told there was a problem, that design couldn't be done and it'd been sat on the surveyors desk. I was told he'd gone off long term sick. Fair enough it happens, but really someone should have picked up his work. I'd been waiting for 3 months for nothing. No one had contacted me. Also, I struggle to believe that it can't be done as already mentioned there are dozens of houses locally with this same style. I was promised a call back that night. Nothing. Two days later I phone again and was promised a call back from the manager. Nothing. A few days later my husband rang and was promised a new design by email that night. Nothing. The following week I phoned up to make a complaint. Was told the manager would ring me by the end of the day. You've guessed it - nothing. So finally my husband phoned and we have managed to get our deposit back, which is about the only thing they've done right. So before you come back, claiming you don't have my name on file (I've seen your generic reply to bad reviews on other sites), I am more than happy to screen shot the contract and name names. Secondly, I appreciate staffing levels have been hit by Covid, because believe or not, its affected us all - but really? Since March there has been no-one available to call me. Nonsense. Lastly, I know it was an unusual door, I even walked with the surveyor to a house down the road to show him what we wanted and was told "it should be fine", so he was well aware of the arch, but to not even offer an alternative or to contact us to discuss it, all the time sitting on our deposit, is frankly just downright bad customer services. So everyone AVOID, there are plenty of more reputable companies out there. I've now found a lovely man who is sorting it for us.

As a returning customer I cannot rate these guys enough.
From Barry who comes out to give the price, to the actual workman ship and the girls in office, they are 2nd to none.
This time I had a new front door and we are delighted with it.

New windows fitted over last couple of days, they look fabulous. Danny has done a great job. Thank you St Helens Glass and Danny.

We had a door fitted which was a good service, the problem lies when we had windows fitted:
* The fitting was slow, took much longer than stated & most days the fitters had to be chased. 11-11.30am they’d finally arrive - bearing in mind it was December & limited daylight! Then of course there were the early finishes......many phone calls of complaint at the time!
* the roof of our bay window collapsed when fitting the new window - only then told the ‘roof’ wasn’t their responsibility! A bit late for that! They had no referral system for a contractor/specialist to resolve the problem.
- they cut the original lead along the length of the window, breaking the seal, & ripped it.
- they allowed the bottom of the lead to get soaked causing a white substance to constantly drip down the new pvc window staining it.
- at considerable extra expense to us we had to pay for another company to fix the problem caused by Sthelens.
- at the time we were assured they would resolve any stains - they haven’t.
- there has been no response to emails forwarded - disgraceful
- we still have some of their tools, they have been told twice but obviously can’t be bothered to collect.
- certainly not a company we’d recommend! A pity this site doesn’t allow the uploading of photos!!

Just had new windows fitted by St Helens Windows. I am very pleased with them. Scott and Lewis did a brilliant job fitting them. I would recommend this Company and neighbours have already asked me where did I get them from.

From the sales rep who gave us all the help we needed & didn’t double the price to then halve it as some companies did. To the help we got from the sales manager in the office. Finally the fitters who were very cheerful & did a great job. They left everything clean & tidy. I would not hesitate to recommend St Helens Windows. They are a great team honest & reliable.

Excellent service from initial contact to completion. All workmen polite, courteous and friendly. Contact maintained during Covid19 lockdown and construction completed to the highest quality immediately after resumption. Highly recommended.

In July we had we had a price to put on a new roof on the conservative 10 weeks later after lots of phone calls we found out why no one been in touch the said the estimate was wrong it should be nearly £2000 more ,we disagreed but after they told us the small print ,we then asked for our deposit back this was on the 9th of September was told £ 800 would be in our bank account Friday 11th September still no sign of it ,been on phone 5 times so far this morning and it’s only 10 pm still no answer from them ,keep clear

I had a kitchen window fitted by St Helens Windows, they did the job quickly and left no mess. They even took the old frame & Glass away! Thank you St. Helens windows

Recently had a door with side panels fitted aswell as some glass units to my property. Made up with the work. Fitters clean and tidy and would highly recommend.

After getting no satisfaction from the company, in spite of our '10 year warranty' we have been subject to years of expensive independent repairs costing £1000s.
First problems emerged within 1 year. Any repairs which were carried out by the company failed quickly or where inadequate and bodged.
A huge, heavy triangular segment of the glass ceiling fell in last week almost entirely without warning. If someone had been sitting in there at the time they would almost certainly have been killed or incurred life-changing injuries.
There's a point at which bad workmanship can turn life-threatening.
Avoid these cowboys at all costs. Once they have your money, they couldn't care less.

My experience of St Helens Windows has been very unsatisfactory. New guttering at my home on Fri 5th/Sat 6th September 2019 which was left half done. Workmen promised to return Monday but did not show so after ringing the company, another fitter attended to complete the work. Leaks were soon apparent. Since that time, contact by phone on numerous occasions, before and after lockdown were effectively ignored. Eventually a fitter attended on 1st July and confirmed that the work would mostly have to be redone as there were not enough brackets in place and a section had bowed, necessitating replacement of half of the guttering. Despite this no one from the firm gave me a date when the work required would be done. I eventually had to resort to a threat of action via the Small Claims Court and once I’d done that, amazingly, the necessary work was satisfactorily completed on Fri 10th July! Over eight months from start to finish for something which took less than 4 hours to fix! So unnecessary and I have to say inexplicable as to why I was inconvenienced like that! I know things have been tough but that’s no excuse!!

Its been almost 6 months since St Helens Windows built our conservatory from scratch, all the guys that were involved in the building of it a big thanks, they worked very hard in VERY sad weather.
We sit inside it every day , its a pleasure Thank you .

It’s always daunting deciding which firm to choose when purchasing something as important as your front door, but throughout the process the St Helens staff provided the very best customer service.

Sharon in the office was always available to deal with my calls from initial enquiry to installation day. Glen the surveyor was prompt and took time to listen to my requirements and I even received a check-up call when the door was being made to measure. Shannon was always friendly to deal with over the phone and Dave (who for me was the star of the show) was the most conscientious work man I’ve ever met.

I was impressed every step of the way with and I wouldn’t hesitate in using St Helens Windows in the future.

Here we go again, almost two years on
and I’m still fighting trying to get our faulty windows replaced, because obviously repairing isn’t working. They open from the bottom and it looks like the arm isn’t strong enough to hold the windows, that’s why they keep dropping and banging on opening and closing, will they replace them? absolutely not, they’ll spend more money after money though trying to patch the obviously faulty windows up. I’m not being bitchy when I say this, but their after sales care is horrendous, you’re made to feel intimidated and a nuisance over a job THEY! did badly, so in all honestly pay that little bit more, in the end you’ll be glad you did, save you all the time and stress fighting and getting a solicitor involved like we’ll be having to do now. All the stress making me really ill too. Buyer beware is the only advice I can give.

Update, they’ve sent someone who knows what they’re doing to glue, sorry “bond” the glass apparently this’ll do the trick. Thing is, this is what the boss did last year, the exact same thing and promised me this would solve the problem, days before it dropped again so let’s see how long this resolution lasts.

So....they glued our window and now it’s only catching slightly, now you can’t close it flush though when not locked, when just pulled too it bounces out a centimetre, am I surprised? absolutely not. Our poor kitchen window has been drilled in to by fitter, glued by the boss, pieced together, prodded and poked for two years and they’re still not worth a quarter what we paid. We’ll be getting a lump sum of money off our pensions next year and the first thing I’m going to do is get these windows ripped out, replaced and buy them again from someone else and I’ll make sure I do my research, and make sure the fitters are vetted by the company not just two men (one looked pension age) shoving the job in to two days, when there should’ve been three men on the job if they want it done in two days. Do your research, it will save you a lot of time, stress and anxiety.

I had an Indiana Rockdoor installed with side window. Best price from the quotes I gained, all went smoothly and the door looks great. Fitter was friendly and had tips on maintenance and ensuring you don't lock yourself out!

Just had my house windows and door replaced, absolutely fantastic!! Can’t fault the workmanship and what great service from start to finish. The window fitters Josh and Dave were the best tradesmen I’ve ever had ! Nothing was too much trouble or a problem. I can’t recommend this company highly enough..... thanks 😀👍

Had these guys in to convert the flat roof on my extension to a pitched roof this week. Great from start to finish and at a good price. I would recommend this company.
