Amazing experience with Stay Sojo at Modera Academic Village!
I had an amazing experience staying at Modera Academic Village, with the entire stay coordinated and provided through Stay Sojo. From beginning to end, their service was exceptional.
The Stay Sojo team made everything easy and convenient. They were available 24/7, responded promptly to all of my inquiries, addressed every concern, and answered all of my questions, making the entire process smooth and stress-free.
The apartment itself was spacious, very clean, fully furnished, and incredibly well equipped. Stay Sojo clearly thought about every small detail—from utensils, pots and pans, and linens to soap, laundry detergent, and even cleaning supplies and equipment. Everything was ready and thoughtfully prepared for my arrival.
I truly appreciate how organized and attentive the Stay Sojo team was throughout my stay. They made what could have been a complicated process incredibly easy.
I highly recommend Stay Sojo to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-equipped place to stay with outstanding service. Thank you, Stay Sojo, for making my experience such a wonderful one!

The location is wonderful
The location is wonderful. I stayed here for 7 weeks for corporate housing. My check-in was very disjointed, and it took over an hour to get my keys. Once there, the furniture is dated. The appliances are great, and the building itself is very safe. The workout room is a nice feature; however, pool access was hit or miss.

I had a fantastic stay!! The Team was incredibly helpful, professional and responsive from day one. The building is well-managed, and the entire experience was stress-free. I highly recommend stay sojo to anyone looking for a comfortable and smooth stay!! I absolutely loved my stay at Modera McGavock, the amenities made my time incredibly enjoyable.

My Experience
My experience at Candour House was nothing but amazing. The amenities, the apartment, and the friendly staff all made my experience worthwhile. If I ever return to Durham, I would definitely consider staying at Candour House.

The apartment was beautiful and provided a very comfortable stay. My only "minor complaint" was that I was there working on my masters at Duke and my apartment faced the pool. The noise from the pool in the afternoons was extremely distracting.

This is my third time with Sojo
This is my third time with Sojo. Customer service is always incredible. Unfortunately this apartment was very subpar compared to 8800 AMLI down the street and the Capitol View location I stayed in Nashville. The elevator did not work on my side of the apartment unit the last week which was unfortunate. They were pressure washing the parking garage and it was hard to keep up with where I was suppose to park. This is all things out of your control and once again StaySojo is great just this specific apartment was not as comfortable as the other locations I have stayed before. The only thing with the unit was the fridge filter for water was stating it was past replacement from Day 1 and the iron did not work and would leak any water you would put into it. I am well aware I could have emailed and I know with how amazing the service with StaySojo has been in the past they would have fixed those issures immediately but with the line of work we go for there was just never any time and it didn't disrupt me to much. StaySojo gets 5 starts but this specific complex was the reason for less stars.

Strange “Security”
Tenant/occupants made to complete background checks containing all sensitive personal data. Apartments/lodging is a fully open neighborhood with zero security. Strangers have access to the same premises where tenants went through background screening. Seems counter-productive.

That said, we understand your point regarding the open-access nature of the surrounding community. The apartments are integrated within a mixed-use neighborhood rather than being part of a fully gated or private complex, which may feel different from more traditional secured residential buildings. While the property itself follows the security measures established by the building and management, we understand that individual comfort levels with accessibility and privacy can vary.
We appreciate you sharing your experience, as feedback like this helps set accurate expectations for future guests and residents.
Longterm stay.
Having a place that was very nice and clean close to work made it good. But, the extensive process with paper work I had to go through just to lease for a 10 days was a turn off. Much easier to get a hotel room. Go for the points.
Having said that, I did enjoy my stay and would recommend it to others for a longer stay.

Rental for Work
Overall, the stay was very pleasant. The apartment was clean and well equipped with all the necessary items. I enjoyed the amenities the gym was nice, and the outdoor pool being heated was a plus. The property itself is well maintained. The only drawback was the unit in the room that kept turning on and off during the night, which was quite noisy.
