I had a very frustrating experience with StayRight and would not recommend them.

Our accommodation in Swansea was fully booked and paid for, including the security deposit. We believed everything was arranged until we happened to check the booking online and discovered that it had been cancelled. No email, phone call, or message was sent to let us know.

Finding this out only three weeks before our holiday was extremely stressful. We had already made plans and invited family members to come from abroad, so the cancellation caused major disruption.

What was most disappointing was the complete lack of support. StayRight did not offer us another property, did not help us find alternative accommodation, and did not offer any compensation for the inconvenience they caused.

In our experience, this company was unreliable and did not treat its customers fairly. We will not be booking with StayRight again and would encourage others to be cautious before using their service.

Very disappointing experience with StayRight.

I booked a property in Swansea, paid the full booking amount and the security deposit, and assumed everything was confirmed. Shockingly, I only discovered by chance—when I checked my booking reference—that my booking had been cancelled. I was never informed by StayRight.

I found out only three weeks before our holiday, leaving very little time to find suitable alternative accommodation. This completely disrupted our plans, especially as we had invited family to visit from abroad.

What made the situation even worse was that StayRight did not offer an alternative property, did not help us find another place to stay, and did not provide any compensation for the inconvenience and stress they caused.

This experience has left me with no confidence in the company. A business that cancels a fully paid booking without notifying the customer is simply not one I can trust.

I would strongly advise others to think carefully before booking with StayRight.

Great experience as we had to book it in last second the process was quick staff was very helpful and gave us all support required and the place was clean and exactly as described

A lovely 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment in the centre of Nottingham. Plenty of facilities nice and clean everything we need for a weekend break with friends

This is a lovely house with all the comforts of home. I will be staying again.

Had a really good stay in Swansea, apartment was very clean tidy and very modern, great location right in the middle of town 10min walk to the beach, highly recommend it and will definitely be back again

Throughly enjoyed our short stay in Penally. We will return for another break, great location and excellent to have little touches such as hand wash, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid. The tower fan was a superb addition and much needed in the heatwave. Location wise we walked to Penally beach one evening and spent our other days in Tenby just a short drive away - plenty of parking available in and around the town centre and beach. The kids were really impressed with the location and lodge itself.

One thing that needs clarifying is towels - booking info advised we needed our own, the welcome message stated fluffy towels provided so I contacted the company to clarify and they were really quick to respond advising to bring our own. I had contacted them previously to check about accessibility features as one of our party required clarification and they were very quick to respond and helpful. We had a minor issue with the code for the lockbox with the key as w booked last minute we didn’t have the code but thankfully the member of staff at reception was really helpful - it was sorted within a few minutes. Hot tub was great but the temperature couldn’t be lowered which was unfortunate as it was boiling - this wasn’t that great with the heat but we did use it every evening but not until 10pm.

Check in information wasnt available when we arrived, (keycode to facilities main door) so we had to wait around for a local to give us access to the property so we could then use our key to enter the appartment. The host himself was answering questions, as were you, which was all very confusing, and made an unpleasant experience, chasing for information and feeling uncertain about things.

Charging more than agreed for early check in, poor facilities with small fridge and freezer that was filled with freezer frost so couldn’t fit anything in it, not good especially for a hot weekend.

As described, compact, clean & very functional. Parking was free but restricted to very small vehicle. Good location, quite. Would stay again if back on a buisness trip. Mark

Very good house! Very clean and comfortable! I loved everything in this place!

The location of this apartment in Swansea was excellent. It was quiet but very central, easy to get around and well linked with buses to all the major places of interest and walking routes on the coastal path. Accessing it was simple, although none of the lock boxes actually locked in the lobby so it would have been easy to access any of the others.
The apartment itself had quite a corporate feel, and could have been more homely. The kitchen was not as clean as it could have been, with crumbs in the drawers, a burnt pan, sticky cupboard doors. There was a stagnant water smell in the bathroom as the sink was slow flowing/blocked. There was no fan or any windows in the bathroom which also added to poor ventilation.
The bed had two sprung mattresses which have seen better days and had no mattress protectors on them, leading to an uncomfortable night trying to get comfy.
The sofa bed was a good back up if you don’t mind sleeping on a foam mattress on the floor as the fold out bit was more like a loose trampoline than a bed base.
We had to vacuum the sofa bed as it was full of crisps crumbs when we opened it.

Hairdryer supplied worked well, iron was present but no ironing board, no cleaning materials aside from a vacuum cleaner, a cloth, kitchen sponge and washing up liquid were present.

Fantastic customer service and really helpful staff. I could not recommend them more highly.

The stay in Cardiff was great,

We had issues with booking/sorting things out in the week leading up and Marianne was more than accommodating and so helpful, couldn’t recommend the customer service more!

The rooms were great although one bed had a small area with mould on the mattress that we raised and unfortunately meant one of the double beds wasn’t slept on.

Location was great and as mentioned customer services was fantastic.

Highly recommend.

The stay in Cardiff was great! It was really close to the centre and had a lovely little selection of shops and good places to eat really nearby! The hosts were very accommodating and quick to respond to anything we needed!

I booked a stay with Stay Right, but on the day of arrival I was contacted and told they could not honour my booking due to a “diary error.” They offered an alternative property, which we agreed to in good faith.

Unfortunately, the replacement accommodation was completely unacceptable. It was dirty, had a collapsed bed, a mouldy shower, and no kitchen facilities—none of which matched what we had originally booked. As a result, we felt it was unfit to stay in and had no choice but to find alternative accommodation ourselves through Airbnb.

We communicated clearly with Stay Right throughout, informing them promptly that the property was unsuitable due to cleanliness issues, mould, and lack of basic amenities.

It has now been over 8 weeks, and we are still waiting for a refund. I have had to chase them weekly for updates, and each time I am asked to repeat the situation from the beginning. I am consistently told the matter is “with management,” yet no progress or resolution has been made.

I am extremely disappointed by the lack of accountability and poor customer service, especially considering this issue arose entirely on their side.

The location was perfect as it's very central.It is quiet at night and no traffic noise or sound from pubs or the other adjoining apartments. The apartment is light, spacious and nicely furnished.The beds are clean and comfortable. It is very suitable for two couples and the two bathrooms make this practical . The underfloor heating is nice and the apartment feels cool in hot weather. It is homely and feels very safe and private.
