6.1.26 update: The company sent me a credit note today with no explanation or apology despite offering me a refund in November, confirming (x2) that a refund was in progress and lastly claiming below that they had never received my payment. I have now spoken with a member of staff who has confirmed they that my payment was received and that they will be arranging a refund as soon as possible. I will update this review accordingly in due course.
5.1.25 This is an edited review as I am unable to reply directly to the response from Starel dated 5.1.26. I placed an order online on31.10.25. I heard nothing back and had to contact the company by telephone and email to confirm they had received my order and payment. I was able to confirm that my order had been received but that an additional delivery charge of £120 was to be levied despite that not having been specified when my order was accepted. By email of 6.11.25 the Company confirmed receipt of my order and offered me a full refund. I accepted that offer and a further email of 6.11 confirmed that the refund had been initiated. By further email of 21.11.25, ( in response to a reminder from me) I was advised that the refund was in progress but that refunds were processed on a monthly basis. I had not previously been told that it would take a month to process. Further emails from me were unanswered. I have attempted to resolve this amicably but am surprised to be informed today and only by way of a response on Trustpilot that my payment had not been received. I have referred the matter to Paypal as my records clearly show a debit on 31.10.25. From my records it is clear that almost £500 has been withheld since early November with no apology or satisfactory explanation. Communication, customer care and overall experience has been shockingly poor- would avoid this company at all costs. I am actually starting to wonder if this is a legitimate company. I see that other reviews report similar experiences and similarly poor responses. Even in the unlikely event that there was an error in this company receiving the payment, one would have expected them to tell me this in direct correspondence instead of promising a refund, then ignoring my emails and only responding once a negative review was posted here.

Three weeks passed since I made an order. Got one email from customer support saying that the order will arrive next week after I made it. It wasn’t delivered. Can’t contact their sales team, no one is replying to my inquiries.

Today we were two times short and our tiler only had two days with us. Instead of having to drive the length of the country to pick up a few from a showroom, the advisor kindly organised for 2 to be sent out to me free of charge via DPD. I’m absolutely astounded by the service provided by Starel Stones. Thank you very much! I couldn’t recommend them highly enough

Had great service from start to finished, which is always nice. I ordered limestone skirting products which weren't in stock and were to be supplied from Turkey.
I was in a rush so Alex kindly supplied an inferior product that was in stock.
These materials are very beautifully made and I highly recommend them, any project I have going forward I wouldn't hesitate and go here first for any materials needed.

The quality of the tiles is excellent, have had 3 or 4 orders from company now for different spaces. Their customer service is always very happy to help when you have queries too.

My original review was a last attempt to reach Starel Stones customer service as the support disappeared after initial contact and I could not get a response from them through any possible means for a week and a half after I made an order of slab + tiles and needed to remove the slab from it.

Since then I have been contacted again by the support and they have been super responsive and helpful, resolved all my issues and even waived the refund transaction fee!

The issue was that slabs and tiles are handled by different departments which caused some confusion.
I'll still leave it a 4 because of the initial experience but hopefully the support takes a note of this to avoid these situations in future.

Alex has been very helpful at Starel and communication was very quick. I needed to expedite delivery and Alex couldn’t have done more to assist!

Tiles haven't arrived 1 month after they said they were sent, zero response from customer service team, no tracking information (1 month later and not a pre order!!!). Overall just a bad experience after sales - Starel Stones please fix this!

In response to Starel stones, no contact has ever been received from the customs team. Despite daily emails (unresponded to) Starel Stones team are unwilling to reply and help resolve the issue. Instead they write a reply saying its all the customers fault. Shocking customer service. AVOID

We initially went to starel stone to look at their marble slabs for a worktop but I quickly realized they weren't right for our job however we did purchase instead some marble floor tiles for our new utility room and bathroom. The customer service in the shop when I was choosing the colours was really helpful and once installed we were short just 3 tiles and the customer service team helped me source them promptly. I'd definitely recommend them as a company. The tiles look fantastic and the customer service matches.

Received samples promptly great customer service in setting up a trade account. Prompt responses in email. Can’t wait to receive my order.
