I came in to pick up a new pair of glasses and was told by the associate assisting me that my prescription should not have been put into plastic lenses, as it falls outside of your company’s guidelines. She mentioned she was unsure why they were made that way.

When I tried the glasses on, I immediately noticed a “fishbowl” effect and brought it up. She explained that the curvature of the lens was likely causing the issue and that polycarbonate lenses would have been more appropriate for my prescription.

I then asked whether I should be wearing these glasses, and she told me they could serve as a backup pair but that she would not recommend wearing them for extended use.

That response was concerning. I pointed out the irony of being sold a new pair of glasses that I’m now being advised not to wear regularly. At that point, she reiterated that I should have purchased the polycarbonate lenses. No resolution was offered, and I left with the glasses as-is.

I’m sharing this because it reflects a breakdown somewhere in the process, whether in how prescriptions are reviewed, how lenses are recommended, or how orders are fulfilled. At a minimum, it led to a confusing and frustrating customer experience.

They do not have the glasses they advertise, they up sale and then we have to pay higher prices. I drove all the way from Georgia.

Everyone has been super friendly and helpful when we’ve needed their service. They’ve also been very generous and helpful in working with us to help keep our costs lower for our family.

This is my second time with the staff at the Gunbarrel location in Chattanooga. I could not be more pleased and love my 3 pairs of glasses. I was especially happy to have the same tech again who helped with selecting and ordering my glasses.. she is wonderful and a real delight to work with.

The atmosphere was relaxing, the associates were very helpful, and everyone helped me find a pair that looks good on me!!
