If you are looking for an over-the-top hotel stay
If you are looking for an over-the-top, most relaxing place to exhale, and at the same time feel like you are at home, this is the place to be.
We are here for an extended stay and have gotten to know the staff, and I have to call out a few so you will know what to expect. From the front office to the top-of-the-line staff who help keep the place tip-top, eye-catching, and welcoming — it truly shows.
Robin and Sarah make sure the start of your day begins with a smile and a hot, excellent breakfast. Even while making sure everything is fully stocked and freshly made, they still take the time to stop, greet you, and make you feel at home. Sometimes I had to remind myself we were at a hotel because they have such a warm heart toward the guests.
The front desk team — Leon, Denise, Aliyah, Shane, and the rest of the staff
(I didn't catch all of their names) — are on their toes at all times. Denise handles so many things on her own; when she is the only one there, you would think it is several staff members making it happen when it is just her, bright and early in the morning and throughout the day. Leon, Aliyah( has that spark that will lift any ones spirit, with her kind heart), and the tall gentleman who runs the night shift (I can't remember his name) all have such bubbly personalities that make you put your troubles behind you when talking to them. They even make me feel extra special with my nightly runs for a hot cup of water that I need to sleep — the microwave just won't do. It's the little things that make my stay the best.
They greet you with professionalism and friendliness to the point of making you feel like you are talking to family. Any problem you may have is addressed right away. Even if it is not in their area of expertise, they will call someone promptly to take care of it.
The only issue we ran into was the hot water in the shower dropping to a warm temperature. When the issue was handed over to Kirk, he got right on it and made sure it was fixed quickly, and even explained to me why it happened. Most times you rarely get to talk to the person in charge of the issue, or have them take the time to explain what is going on. This really shows how much he cares about the guests and not just the job.
The entire cleaning crew — I tip my hat off to them all, Angel and the rest of the team — work so hard with such ease that they blend in while keeping the hotel white-glove clean. They make it look easy, but being here as long as we have, I know their job is not. They keep everything in place even when crowds of people are coming in at once and throughout the day.
I definitely cannot forget the back-office staff. You may not see them, but believe me when I say they work very hard to make sure everything runs smoothly. Denise, Dashanne Mathis, Pinkie Mitchell, Julie Stob, Micki Despard, and Daniel Coffroad — all I can say is professionalism at its finest. They know their jobs.
I cannot go without raving about the appearance of this location. I have been to many Marriott hotels, but this one is by far the absolute best. The bright lighting is what all hotels should have — first impressions are lasting. From the moment those doors opened and we walked in, the positive vibes made me want to stay.
The rooms are clean, bright, and comfortable before you even sit down. The couch, as a third sleeping area, is just as comfortable as the beds. I like how wide it is once the back pillows are removed to give more sleeping space. The pullout is very comfortable as well. The pillows and beds felt like clouds — I slept great all night and woke up refreshed.
I also like that the carpet and furniture are not dark like most hotels. It really makes a difference. The bathroom décor truly puts the icing on the cake.
If you are looking to relax outside your room, the outdoor furniture and fire pit are top of the line. The cushions on the couches, rockers, and chairs make enjoying the weather and time with friends even more pleasant.
The only suggestion I would make is that, since I can see this location being #1 around the USA, the parking lot may need to be expanded to handle overflow.
This is my personal opinion while here on both business and pleasure. There is so much more I could say — I may write more later. I believe in giving honor where honor is due, and you all deserve it.
Keep doing what you do — we will definitely be back soon. All of my clients who come into town will have this location on my reservation list.
