Love the product - great curries!

I ordered this coffee mug for my friend who is a curry Buff for Xmas I had excellent communication with Spicy Joes email confirmations etc. the item was ordered on a Friday night the order was processed and arrived on a tracked delivered Sunday morning No delay as it was the weekend Excellent Service. The mug arrived well packed with no damage hope my mate likes it.

First of all I ordered around 20 quids worth of spices which i thought was a good idea to take to Spain 🇪🇸 then I placed my order, oops I had missed something so I sent an email and Nigel rang me and was very helpful and confirmed he had rectified my order at no cost so there you have it excellent communication and service would highly recommend this company and wish them every success in the future 😀 😊

This reply from “Spicy Joes” is the perfect example of how not to handle a customer complaint, defensive, unprofessional, and completely fabricated in parts.

Here’s what actually happened:
— The original order was never delivered.
— We were sent five fake tracking numbers.
— We called multiple times and were fobbed off each time.
— Only after leaving a public review did they bother to send something — which did eventually include a mug (thanks, I guess).
— Shockingly, we then received an email threatening to show up at our home address to “discuss the matter.”

That is not customer service, that is intimidation. And using our personal contact details and home address in this way is a serious breach of GDPR. We’ve reported the data misuse.

Most disturbingly, the owner called my husband over 20 times in one morning trying to get us to take down the review, eventually reaching him during a meeting. When told clearly he was unavailable, the owner still tried to push a conversation. That is completely inappropriate.

Their claim that we “blamed a wife” is a total invention, just more embarrassing theatre to cover up the fact they didn’t ship the order and failed to resolve the issue properly until they were publicly named.

And now he’s falsely accusing us of “blaming each other” for the review and calling us “not very nice people.” That alone speaks volumes.

Instead of holding their hands up and apologising, they’ve opted for public character assassination.

We stand by every word of the original review. The fact they spent more time writing this aggressive response than replying to actual emails says everything.

If they focused half as much on running a trustworthy business as they do on insulting reviewers, they’d be in a better place.

Avoid. The mug isn’t worth the hassle.

1-Star Review: Avoid at all costs
Spices were never sent, despite multiple email alerts and five separate phone calls. I was repeatedly told the order had been dispatched.. even received five different tracking numbers, none of which ever worked. Nothing was ever delivered. No refund ever offered or given, despite many requests, for an order at a cost of nearly £40.

Feels like a complete scam. The fact that AL’s Kitchen recommended them and now has removed them from their you tube says it all …Bullshit company.

Unfortunately the theme of long delivery times and/or them completely ignoring chase up emails is still occurring which doesn’t bode well. Still waiting for the order and still waiting for them to even acknowledge my chase up emails. I always want to see a small company thrive but if they can’t even answer emails asking where the order is then…Be aware if you’re thinking of placing an order.

Tried to buy Al's spice blend combo. Order placed on 17th October and despite repeated promises that the products have been sent, I have still not received anything. Nigel always replies quickly but that is easy to do when he has no care for the truth. Have asked for a refund and will look elsewhere in future.

Very helpful and spicy are very good

I have bought Spicy Joe’s Tikka blend now 3-4 times and find it so much better than the others blends on the market. I have tried so many before settling on spicy Joe’s I find really authentic.
Their customer service is spot on as well, I recently entered my email address incorrectly! They rang me and sorted the issue out very quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend this company.

Absolutely amazing Product been ordering for 2 years now the Spices are amazing and they all come with barcode on back to scan and instruction on how to make my family love the tikka spice and the butter chicken i can't make it fast enough lol

They have one of the best ranges of spicy food products available. Fast next day delivery and was kept updated on delivery times. Fantastic

Really great service from these guys, ordered Al Kitchen spices three days ago, hand delivered today.
These spices are brilliant, ordered before, wouldn't use anything else.

Nothing wrong with the spices, infact they are fantastic.
Just be aware that the site states dispatch in 5-7 days, but my experience is that it can be longer than that

The First time i ordered i had to chase after 2 weeks. This second time over 3 weeks andhas to chase chasing.

To be fair both times the company dealt with the issues stright away, contacted me and resolved quikcly

Ordered 3rd July. I have sent 2 follow up emails. I have had no reply to them. I will be starting a bank charge back tomorrow. Won't bother again. Love Al's Kitchen, Im suprised he still supports this slap dash company.

High quality spices from Spicy Joes. The tikka spice blend from the Als Kitchen range is epic. Also purchased the base gravy blend. Looking forward to trying it. It helps cut out all the cutting, chopping and boiling I would usually do when making base gravy. Looking forward to trying other blends in the Als kitchen range.
