AI company that is leaving many homeless because it cant verify anything with its low grade technology system.i have never been denied for a one bedroom its and told I have no income where there is enough money in my account to pay it for the year. Snappt is a broken system.

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel like people should know about my experience with Snappt. Unfortunately, it was extremely frustrating from start to finish.

The verification process was the biggest issue. I uploaded the documents they requested, and everything showed as successfully submitted on my end. Despite that, the system kept asking for the same information again or failing to recognize what was already provided. It felt like I was stuck in a loop with no clear explanation of what was actually missing.

Another problem was the lack of transparency in how the system evaluates documents. There was no clear guidance about whether they were looking for specific line-item details, exact employer information, or simply proof of deposits. Because of that, it’s very hard to know what they actually need to approve your verification.

What made the situation worse was how rigid the system seemed to be. Even when legitimate documents were uploaded, there didn’t appear to be a straightforward way to have someone manually review them or clarify what the issue was. For a platform that handles important financial and verification information, there really should be a smoother process and clearer communication.

Overall, the experience felt unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming. I hope Snappt improves their verification process, provides clearer instructions, and makes it easier for users to resolve issues when the automated system doesn’t work properly.

I work for a lawyer! A a very high profile attorney, and he is legitimate! The way he pays me is old-school. So this snappt platform and other companies like them want to link to your bank account! I find that to be invasive. They’re not looking at just your paystubs they see every transaction, especially if like me my pay is handed to me not a ACH deposit, sometimes people give him cash and he has to do things in a completely different way! Lawyers get paid with cash a lot! Not always cashier checks ext! He has his own system of doing things. I get paid through him! He did my paystubs we also do our own taxes, yes lawyers are completely capable of doing that. He doesn’t use a payroll service provider! He is my provider so Snappt ext cannot se it! I submitted my paystubs that are 100% legit! I gave them my W-2 and if that’s not good enough, that’s absurd and these companies are asking for things that occur when you’re buying a home! I’ve bought a few homes, I’ve had to let companies get into everything buying I get it! Renting nope! Property managers, Rental companies have abilities to evict someone and it’s not a costly big money draining experience for a big apartment or townhome company! It’s more costly to the renter not the landlord. So if these companies are telling these landlords, it’ll be more costly for you than the renter they’re lying to get paid! When purchasing a home you must provide everything, but renting it is ridiculous. These companies are taking over seem illegal! People should start demanding from senators, governors whatever that these companies should not be allowed to get into banking! Then they have your username and password and everything else! It’s not only snappt it’s others as well no a credit ext! I have a great credit score low dept to income! 788 c Rico! My debt to income is good. They’re idiots if they don’t approve it with that alone then they’re turning down really good perspective renters because their platform sometimes won’t take certain things! I don’t even think this should be legal as a person who has a legal degree it’s absurd! So I work for 1 attorney and I’m the only employee it’s not a huge firm with 109 employees where you would need a professional payroll company so it’s dumb. He’s a millionaire and I would find it funny when they can’t even verify him. Although he owns his own home, I own as well and if they can’t verify that again idiots, so there are a lot of scammers that get through snappt’s algorithm! I’ve read so many stories of techs people doing just that! Bypassing it! Breach is next! Maybe I’m thinking futuristic but I’ve seen the federal government get breached like Social Security and other things that are not supposed to be reachable everything‘s reachable so it’s unreasonable for them to say let me have everything and trust us that we will make sure your data will never be compromised! it’s like being robbed because they’re not going to dump your data right away, and they’re not only looking at payroll stubs in your bank account. They’re going to be looking at everything which they shouldn’t be able to . This should be the first conversation before you pay the fees on any rental application, which is a completely different platform so your getting scammed to pay fees non-refundable by the way! Only for the company to say that they utilize these platforms after you’ve paid the fees that should never occur! $45 some of them $344.which I did pay only to be asked to do this which I was like if they want my paystub’s and my W-2s great but I’m not letting them into my bank account that is illegal the federal government can’t even do that. Bs! Just look at the comments for the Better Business Bureau. They say they have the A+ they can pay for that.

I wish I could give this 0 stars not sure why some properties will continue to use this service. I have been at my place of employment for a year now and I work as a temp. My employer sent the paystubs to me and I had to save them as pdf due to thats what the software states they would use. So you mean to tell me I was denied due to my paystubs that your software asked for me to covert is failing. This system is trash. Do not rent from any apartments using this system cause even if you make the money it will deny you when you should have been approved. Snappt is playing with people lives out here with AI that's really not that accurate. If you guys are not 99.99% why should anyone use this its ridiculous.

Does not work for people self employed with a credit union

Too bad there's not an option for zero stars here. I had no idea that I was going to be forced to use this service. My landlord did not disclose and if they had, I would not have used this service as they ask for your bank account info and ALL transaction history and in their legal terms they are dodgy on consumers recourse in case of data breach. Please research before doing business with this shady company. If you don't beleive me, look up all of the complaints this company has on the BBB.

I was turned down for housing because it’s showing that my income was 2500. I make well over 12k a month. I am a 1099 employee and the landlord said that my paid invoices are not acceptable according to snappt. I submitted 4 different documentation’s showing my income including my contract. Snappt is reporting that my bank is stating I only got paid $2500 which is absolutely incorrect

Snappt is a horrible system. I work for a federal company and was denied for my documents twice. AI should not be used. And it’s very scammy that you pay first then they have you verify that way and keep your money.

I’m also experiencing the same headache everyone is. The company owner let me watch her get my payroll documents from our processor, send them to me as a pdf, Not Edited. It came back saying they are edited. I have never been told my bank statements, paystubs are questionable. Everything I uploaded was exactly how it should be done. This isn’t my first rodeo on using income verification, this is a horrible way to treat people who have genuine documents and to be falsely accused by a SOFTWARE that they aren’t real. We use a nationwide known payroll company, my bank is nationwide, how is that fake?

Make it make sense.

This company somehow scams management companies into using them making things more frustrating for the management companies and more hostile for the staff, losing well qualified prospective residents who simply give up

I've been employed by the FEDERAL government for 9 years, now. Our website doesn't have the option to "download our paystubs directly." So, I did a "export file as PDF." However, the way that my employer named the file, it has a special character, literally a slash, that Snappt's upload won't accept because it contains "special characters." Their OWN software says 'rename the file and try again." I did that, only removing the special character, and it uploaded fine. However, the leasing office contacted me saying the "file name was edited and I must use the original." Another complex would ONLY accept my BANK statements because Snappt wouldn't accept my UNEDITED files from my employer. I already had to give my SSN and birthday for a background check. And now, you want my routing number and checking account number as well? No thanks. I've dealt with identity fraud before, and joined the military, got a passport, and a firearm's license with LESS invasive requirements!

Snappt is an absolute HEADACHE! And, it's greatly hindering overqualified applicants due to it's contradictory instructions. I make 4.5 times the lease I'm applying for and have been rejected twice now, due to this silly software.

Trying to rent a townhome for the first time and was approved. Now I'm having to go through Snapp. I am an established health care provider who's pay studs and bank statements keep being rejected by this site. It's beyond frustrating. My documents are not "print to pdf"...They are IN FACT legit and it is beyond annoying that my documents are being flagged. This process is a complete scam

Snappt is horrible! Should be shut down and leasing managers are too stupid to care or use it as an excuse to deny people housing even when they actually qualify.

This application implicitly discriminates against certain populations who probably do not use the mainstream banking and payroll systems. I wonder if it is in violation of the California Fair Housing Laws.

How hypocritical. The real fraud it the accuracy of the results being offered.

I think the creator of this tool is a genuinely bad person. I make almost $300k a year and this tool can't verify my bank account, my paystubs, or my investment accounts ALL OFFICIALLY RECEIVED DIRECTLY FROM THE INSTITUTIONS.

If you work and submit YOUR OFFER KETTER FROM THE EMPLOYER THIS SYSTEM IS RIGGED AND ONLY RECOGNIZE TOP /RICH PEOPLE EARNERS. SOON THIS SYSTEM WILL TAKE A FAIL BECAUSE OF THE ECONOMY NOBODY IS GOING TO RENT AT THESE PROPERTIES AND THE LANDLORDS WILL BE OUT OF BUSINESS FROM BOT GETTING ANY INCOME FROM THE CITIZENS

This service is an utter scam aimed at landlords.

"print to pdf" is not some big source of fraud detection, it is a system utility that most software uses to produce a pdf. My formal work contracts that I needed to submit where turned into a pdf by my employer, using print to pdf. To make things even more insane IT CANT EVEN TELL WHEN SOMETHING WAS MADE USING PRINT TO PDF.

In order to make a pdf that this website will accept you need to use actual pdf editing tools, which is where you would be able to actually create false documents. Print to pdf doesn't have that capability.

Just taking advantage of landlords who are afraid of fraud and don't understand technology.

I'm new to an area and applying for an apartment that requires the upload of ID for verification and paystubs. On two attempts of uploading valid ID's, snappt has returned message denying application for invalid ID (not meeting the requirements). This is absolutely inaccurate as I've visited the apartments and displayed the same ID's that I've had for years to view the property. I am now being showed that my application is denied and while security deposit is returned, I lose my application fee paid for an erroneous message from Snappt. Unfortunately, the apartments will not look beyond what this app is telling them, even if I show physical proof of my identify and would have to reapply (which would require another application fee). This is wrong and would not recommend the use of this software service.

Won't accept any PDF's I've sent. This is ridiculous.
