Just received my West Ham retro football shirts and I'm seriously impressed. The design of the shirts is spot-on — classic, vibrant, and full of nostalgia. The quality of the material and stitching is top-tier, clearly made to last. What really stood out was the customer service — friendly, personal, and refreshingly human, no AI bots in sight. It felt like dealing with real fans who care.

I ordered a shirt from SM Retro and have finally received it. I have to say it is exactly what I ordered and the quality is good. If ordering be aware that delivery times can be protracted ( as stipulated in their delivery information) as the products come from Thailand. In my case delivery was 73 working days from date of order. So if you need an item within a short time frame and to avoid disappointment you need to be aware of potential delivery times.

Great quality shirt. I must say I really like the embroidery and attention to detail. As an avid Hearts fan I was very pleased when I tried this shirt on and many of my mates have been impressed, asking where I got it from. You will have to wait a while on the package arriving from Thailand but no problems with SM retro whatsoever. Highly recommended.

Ordering process was straightforward. The Charlton Athletic 1986-87 3rd shirt arrived in decent time and was exceptional quality. Takes me back to my youth and was overcome with the warm feeling of nostalgia. Superior to the original I had as a kid, this version is on another level. Ignore the hate-filled 1 star warriors this company excels in the ways that matter most.

The West Ham 1980 shirt holds special place in my heart for family sentimental reasons and I was keen to own it once I saw it for sale. I made a couple of email inquiries first and Jane was helpful and reassuring. The ordering process was straightforward, and after waiting impatiently for delivery (6 weeks) the shirt arrived. Everything is spot on about this reproduction. The fabric is comfortable on the skin, the embroidery is tidy, and the fit is true to the measurements advertised on their website. Do order a size up if you are in two minds and be aware of the delivery times. I have no hesitation in championing SM Retro for their dedication and expertise in the retro football marketplace. Fabulous.

After numerous recommendations and the sight of many supporters wearing this shirt at the stadium, I decided to order, and I'm so glad I did. Delivery was 7 weeks which is acceptable if you check the timescales on the website. The shirt itself is amazing quality and the size was exactly as per measurements on the website. These are on the smaller sde so order one size up if in doubt. There's obviously a difference in the fabrics and manufacturing techniques used in Thailand which result in a noticeably finer quality product. The stitching and badge/logo embroidery is spot on. I think I will pull out all the stops and order the complete Wrexham repertoire from their website. I can see some recent negative reviews from customers still waiting form products, but this is unfair as they obvs haven't bothered to check delivery times. Order without hesitation. Absolute class.

I’ve give this one star because I can’t give it any lower. Almost 3 months and still no delivery of goods. I first wrote to SM and received a relatively generic response from “Jane” however responses since have contradicted what ‘Jane’ initially said. I had ordered twice previously and this also happened, so from my own foolishness and the responses here, it tells you what a dreadful outfit they are. What’s even more ironic, ‘Jane’ is quick to cry about the justified negative responses, it seems they only want positive feedback for their back-street shoddy outfit. Avoid these people, you’ll regret it if you don’t.

Update 16th July
I have a number of emails from this bogus outfit, as recent as 15th July where they claim (again) the items will be here by a certain date (this changed from their original response). Got a further update today (16th July) and they still have no tracking. They couldn’t lie straight in bed. And the best part, they are disputing this review as genuine, despite engaging with me for over a month. It shows you what they’re about. 3 months - items still not here. Do not use these clowns.

**update. Despite the below response from the vendor who clearly only expects 100% positive feedback, the disclosure of my bank claim from you only emphasises what kind out outfit you are: however, the bank, on reviewing the case and seeing you change tact numerous times in emails and how you “fulfilled the order” 3 MONTHS later ruled in my favour. So, the feedback is justified and warranted. All you had to do was refund me after my 3rd email of concern - you refused. You sent 20% back on realising you had updated a load of rubbish.

One of the four shirts never arrived, despite repeated emails over several months (which I think would have simply never been dispatched, with no refund offered, if I had not been persistent!). All shirts were smaller than the advertised sizes, so other than easier browsing and some rarer shirts, no real justification for prices 200-300% higher than DHGate. Exactly the same feedback was given to the previous name used by this company.

EDIT: Notice the snide response from the company - who offer no apology. They also say they resolve problems when raised - nope, unless they mean when you chase them for the 4th time, several months down the line. The tone of the response should tell you everything you need to know about this operation.

EDIT 2: ...and now SM retro have tried flagging the post as containing 'harmful or illegal content' to get it taken down. Would you trust a company that behaves like this with your money?

It was great to see this shirt for sale on their website as I have been looking for it for years. Needless to say I ordered it immediately and after a few weeks it arrived, and I am pleasantly surprised by the quality. Everything is as per the original, and there are improvements like embroidered badges, to make it more like the players shirts. Delivery time was acceptable within the times on the website.

Really worth the wait quality is amazing . Waited 6 weeks but was so worth it everything on the shirt is spot on if not better quality than the same top I bought in 1987 . Thank you guys

Still not received order from May.

Ordered a shirt over 2 months ago! Asking for tracking number & that doesn’t work. They provide no proof it’s been sent. Do not order from this scam company!

Took a while to arrive but the quality of the shirt is fantastic and is the best retro shirt I have ever bought! Will order again

This website is 100% I see a few customers moaning because they aren't prepared to wait for their order. I have placed several orders from this site and while they can take a while, they quality is awesome.

Nice quality shirt overall. If I had to be critical, the Adidas stripes could have been stitched onto the arms individually rather than one piece of material with 3 stripes printed on. But still a nice looking shirt regardless.

Shirt is excellent, but delivery time is long. This is stated, but tracking is difficult

I ordered the Liverpool 1974 F.A.Cup shirt and it came within 6 weeks. It was a great relief because previously delivery had been poor but obviously things have greatly improved. Keep up the good work.
