This program is terrible. It does not provide a live moderator as it states it does. The customer service is also trash and does not respond to emails in a timely manner. They fight with you about a refund when their program is not as good as they thing it is. There is miss information between the system quizzes and their are questions that don't relate to the system that are in each systems quiz. A complete waste of time and money. This program is definitely a scam.

These people are professional scammers. The intense level and feeling of being uncomfortable that I had was unfortunate.

I wrote on trust pilot to discuss this matter because as a married woman, I was sexually targeted by one of their tutors, with the initial JC. He took advantage of my vulnerability and tried to manipulate me. Everything was planned and skilled to take advantage of me. He was seeking other opportunities other than being a USMLE tutor. I was unaware until our last scheduled meeting. He often spoke about his feeling and how he felt ignored by me - his wishes included some sort of acknowledge towards him outside of studying for the USMLE.

He would flood my email with messages and call my phone late at night, even times as early as 1:00 am and 4:00 am in the morning. (A bit obsessive)

To protect himself, he would write me and then delete the messages on Whatsapp.

This level of unprofessionalism should be addressed and taken as a warning to correct those whom continue to use the platform. In addition, this particular tutor canceled meetings constantly, (sadly, a routine result after 5 minutes into a scheduled meet). To feed his little ego , he used emotional and abusive tactics to distract me. Often, he would involve me in his personal life, although my only focus was passing the USMLE exam.

After several missed meetings by JC, I realized that he was more interested in my personal life than his capability to help prep for the USMLE. I am truly sadden by this treatment and dissatisfied with the services. Thereafter, I contacted Paula (the manager of SmashUsmle) to rectify the situation and complain. I can definitely prove all the information that I am providing.

Again, I wrote this message because of my concerns about my interactions with this particular tutor. This company should truly consider the safety of their clients, most importantly women.

No one should pay such a large amount of money to be sexually targeted or exploited for money. MOST importantly, not to receive the services that were paid for.

I have asked for a refund several times without a response for several weeks. Again, I did not pay 1,760.00 to be manipulated or taken advantage of as a paid customer.

This was an unfortunate experience and should not be received lightly or repeated.

I recently signed up for Smash USMLE's Step 1 On-Demand course with high hopes of receiving top-notch lectures to help me prepare for the exam. However, my experience with the course left me feeling underwhelmed and dissatisfied.

The most glaring issue I encountered was the outdated nature of the lectures. Despite being advertised as an on-demand course, the material presented seemed like it was recorded ages ago with technology that is far from up-to-date. The video quality was poor, and the audio was often unclear, making it difficult to concentrate and absorb the information being delivered. In today's fast-paced world, it is essential to have high-quality and well-produced content that engages the learners effectively. Unfortunately, Smash USMLE fell short in this regard.
The lack of interactive features was also disappointing. A successful on-demand course should incorporate interactive quizzes, practice questions, and a user-friendly interface that allows learners to gauge their progress effectively. Smash USMLE's course, however, seemed to rely solely on one-directional, monotonous lectures without any interactive elements to reinforce learning.
Overall, my experience with Smash USMLE's Step 1 On-Demand course was far from satisfactory. The outdated lectures and limited interactivity left me feeling ill-prepared and unconfident for my Step 1 exam.

Absolutely not worth the price; spend your money on UWorld, Sketchy, Osmosis, AMBOSS, Boards and Beyond, Pathoma, Kaplan, whatever. I bought the 4 week Step 1 "live" masterclass.

Lectures: I signed up for a live course in order to have an outside class to attend to keep me on track because I have issues with ADHD, so admittedly it served its purpose there, but I could have gotten the same experience from any Step 1 prep course. I have suspicions that these "live" classes are actually pre-recorded and the company uses poorly concealed tricks to make it seem live. There is a live chat where you can ask questions and they will be answered. But the answers aren't very nuanced. Additionally the chat is probably filled with bots pretending to be real students, they ask the most basic questions to mimic engagement and constantly praise the class with comments like "Dr Adesina where have you been I'm really enjoying this lecture". The chatbots are sometimes off sync and talking about completely different subjects than what the lecture you're watching is about. It's overall very skeevy. The lectures themselves are alright, though are often just reading off of First Aid.

Question bank/quizzes: terrible. Questions are poorly organized and sometimes out of order, or will refer to a vignette/picture that... isn't included. They are probably pulled from outside qbanks/review books. Explanations are frequently lacking as well. It does not have any of the functionalities of other qbanks to mimic the real USMLE exams: no highlighting, no crossing out answer choices, no reference values, no flagging or searching for questions... You'd think the quiz would at least match the content of the associated video lecture but they don't...

Personal tutor: probably the most helpful resource, but you should be able to get something similar from your medical school's academic help services

Awful and overpriced! You will regret this subscription believe me! You’re way off better paying 300$ for sketchy and 80$ for BB! The mastwr class is a pre recorded class with 0% quality! Why you try to rob me I don't even make any money

Unfortunately, I don't recommend Smashusmle. Doctor Adesina is really passionate about his work, but the quality of the videos needs to improve. As Qbank does not have a proper format, some explanations are unclear or insufficient. Daily questions provided through whatsapp are delivered daily with the correct repost at the end of the day. However, if there are questions for clarification after the final answer at the end of the day, the host does not respond in chat, helping the doctor better understand the vignette or answer. The tutor was the best resource, which I highly recommend. I used the program for 9 months, wishing I had bought another comprehensive Qbank like Uworld or used another resource to better individually access my needs.

I took the program and found the videos by Dr. Adesena very helpful in understanding the concepts. The question bank was helpful in accessing my strengths and weak areas. The resources are very helpful and i feel its worth every penny spent.

To reply, if it were organized I wouldn't have made the review and stated as such. I haven't been back since, so it must've been so disorganized at the time that I decided to waste no more time on it.
FYI, when responding to honest critical feedback you should really just say 'thanks, we're always looking for ways to improve' and leave your email. At least that cannot be replied to as I am now.

Dr. Adesina is the best thing that has happened to USMLE. I will definitely sign up for Step 2 Masterclass. IMG graduates please join SMASHUSMLE and be the doctor you have hoped to be.

The class coordinator is not doing consistent work. We missed the first hour of the live class (if it was live) without being appropriately notified ahead of time. No one from the team has offered any solution or apology. The only thing the coordinator was doing is "I don't. get your question."

SmashUSMLE in my opinion is the best comprehensive tool to prepare for board exams and I have tried all the other gold standard recommended sources. What is different about this platform is first and foremost the individual attention and guidance you receive from the entire team and especially your private tutor. I have a personalized study schedule that changes to reflect my progress and struggles as I am studying. The master-course is must. You also have the ability to rewatch the master-course videos. There is an additional option to do self-paced learning which includes beautifully and easily explained topics straight from first-aid. There is a Qbank and flashcards. Because of this platform I believe in myself again and I feel confident in my preparation for my exams. I will definitely use SmashUSMLE to study for step 2 as well.

I started watching SmashUsmle and I found it very interesting. I m pretty sure my experience with Smashusmle during my step 1 preparation will be fantastic. Dr. Adesina's never-ending motivation will fuel you up. I signed up for the program 5 days ago and I m receiving emails from the team almost every day. This is the program I need and I am confident to pass the step1 with great score if I keep up with their advice. Thank you for your great work Dr Adesina and team. Keep encouraging IMG's. We need to hear all this truth you putting out for us. Good luck!

My experience with Smashusmle during my step 1 preparation was fantastic; the crew put in a lot of effort and attention. Dr. Adesina's never-ending motivation was a huge plus for me. Please don't underestimate their effectiveness; the team is extremely dedicated to their work.

It is an excellent guide to study for the step. Especially the tutors, they guide you step by step, and they tell you what you have to improve. The videos for step one are also very good. I had an excellent experience, I passed step one and two and I am tremendously grateful.

Smashusmle is the best program especially for the IMGs. It leads you to the road to success ,extremely helpful. Quite satisfied by the effort if Dr. Adesina and his whole team. Its worth the investment you make . MAY GOD BLESS the smashusmle team.

My experience with Smashusmle during my step 1 preparation was awesome, great work and dedication from the team. Endless motivation from Dr Adesina was a plus for me. Please don't doubt their efficacy, for the team is very dedicated in the work they do.

good program, but sheesh the teacher needs to take it down a notch with the yelling and over excessiveness of his voice, its startling and a bit distracting from the info he is giving.
