Absolute SCAM!
I found the damn $25 charge from Smartyplus. I never signed up with them for a membership, I had never been to their website or even heard of them. This is a filthy scam that this company has been getting away with for years. Reddit has years of posts from people these sleazebags have ripped off. Chatted with CS and they canceled it, but I have zero faith that they will be true to their word. This is illegal. Something needs to be done about this fraud.

Like others, my son did not realize he signed up for this free trial and was then charged $25 per month for 3 months without realizing it, this is a scam. Lesson to be learned check your bank statements regularly!
Update: I do appreciate their customer service and how they quickly responded and cancelled the account.

Litterally I had never heard about it before then I was looking through the expenses paid on my debit card because I saw I had less money in there than I should have. Anyway, I was looking to see what had charged me and I saw 2 charges for smartyplus.net they were each 25 dollars and I never went to that website or signed up let alone given them my debit card info or my Word that they could sign me up for the paid version. Scammer website never go near it.

I have cancelled twice and I have been charged again! SCAM!!!! I want my money back! This is criminal! Should be reported to the FBI and I will do so if I don’t get my money back and if I am charged again!

2nd Edit: it is now 2/24/2025 and I have STILL not heard back. I should be charged any day now, even though I have REPEATEDLY cancelled this back in December.

It is a scam! Avoid it at all costs!
They get your credit card to give you a rebate on unrelated purchase (which they get you a rebate) but ended up charging $1 to steal your credit card information. They don't mention there is a cost to the subscription and charge you after the 7 day trial. Very sneakily don't tell you any of this. Don't fall for it!

Stay Away - A huge SCAM.
This company somehow scams their way into a subscription, I think when I bought a movie ticket and then there was no information about the subscription fees etc. I did not see that I was being billed for $25 bucks a month. They are crimminal.

I wish I could give them a zero rating but still a very scammy slime balls. I do not understand how they got my debit card information and they were billing me 19 CAD a month for over a year. My bank would only refund me for the last 3 months and I am still smothering from losing money to this disgusting company. I wish my account with my Canadian top 4 bank that claims to be very much on the side of clients would stop their totally illegal transactions.

I have no idea how they got my information.. They charged me $25 in December and then another $25 in January.. thankfully my bank took care of it and I was issued a refund but I don’t know how they did it. It was also from an account I don’t primarily use!! Look out!!

This scam is very sneaky, and I have no idea how they got my credit card number.
Their join webpage came as a pop-up, and I deleted the page as soon as I could.
Then a moment later I got a notification that I got billed $13 from SMARTYPLUSNET.
I immediately then got the chat with Mohammad Naseem who then said I will have a refund in 3-5 business days. I did get a confirmation email,

I’m not sure how they obtained my bank account information, but they charged me $25 for a service I had never used before. In fact, my first encounter with 'Smarty' was when I noticed the charge from them. I contacted their support team multiple times, requesting a refund and the deletion of my account, but I never received my money back. In the end, I had to close my bank account to avoid paying for something I didn’t use.

I never signed up with this company. They said I got singed up from some pop up in 2021. Almost $800.00 they've taken out of my bank account. They refuse to refund my money.
