It's a great program. Offers lots of flexiblity with clients and most of all much peace of mind for security against hackers, etc especially for sole practices.

You made too many changes this year and there wasn't enough advanced explanation on how to get things done.

We have been using SmartVault for four years now and would not use any other company.

Good Product

I generally like the product. I love being able to send for signatures directly from SmartVault and have it returned when completed automatically from DocuSign.

The reason I have to down-rate the program is that there is no desk top application for MAC users. This means I am not easily able to move documents within folders.

Your tech support and costumer service is very bad

Their platform/program/application is always improving, and upgrading. And, they are making changes based on customer input as well. Support has been onshore and very professional.

My clients could not access the invitation. There was no file for 2021
I will not use this program again.

There seems to be a lot of functions in SmartVault that I cannot use due to lack of training. The training articles are confusing and I don't seem to have an account manager to help me.

I love the security piece and would likely use the software more. Each month I am weighting the cost, my inability to utilize all of the software's tools and I spend time looking for an alternative

Many customers complain about a confusing interface. Customers frequently upload to the wrong year engagement folder. As the administrator I cannot see what the customer sees on their interface, making it impossible to guide and or assist them when they have issues.

I love SmartVault! it is an amazing program that helps us save and gather client documents.

I decided to use this program because of its partnership with proseries tax program. I've used others and each has features you like but the integration between the two programs is great. It's allowing me to gradually transition to a paperless system of storing client info and the fact that its use is not LIMITED to just working with proseries is the real added benefit. Being able to create other folders and grab info easily from emails and upload into SV (smartvault) folders is just great

A somewhat better alternative to DMS - somewhat...

This is very easy to use but i would have a to say, the set up part and the migration could use some help.

Without a very functional app, SmartVault has a huge drawback. All our clients ask about an easy app that works and the one that exists has not been updated in all the years we've been a part of SmartVault

It is still a very clunky system. After years of development, I would have hoped it would be far more user friendly.

Great program, but I am only one user and have to pay the price for two users.

I've been using SmartVault as my core document management system in my virtual bookkeeping business since 2009 and it has been as important as the accounting software I use with my clients. I love how secure and simple it is to use, and my clients love it too. I've not seen another DMS that has the same functionality and convenience, even those used by large accounting firms. Still the best in my opinion.
