Horrible company
Horrible company! Tried to cancel an order within 24 hrs of being placed after looking at order status and finding all but 1 item of 5 was on backorder. Was told the shipping dept needed to check if the backordered items were already in transit and that it could take 24-48 hrs to hear back. 48 hrs later (2 days) they said it was already in route to them. Highly unlikely this would have been the case if they checked with the supplier right when I told them I wanted to cancel. They charge a 20% restocking fee, so I'll be out over $50 on the order. To top it off, even though I said I didn't want it, I got an email saying the items were in route to them. A call was made after this and they are still sending them even though they were instructed not to. I shouldn't have to pay the restocking fee as well as cost to ship it back. Incredibly stupid. I had a business online for many years and I can see why customers were pleased doing business with me. This is just such a bad way to do business.
There was no indication of this company name on the website that this was the company I was buying from - only said Briggs Stratton Store powered by ProntoMowers - which is not the company that charged my credit card - my card was charged by Smallengineprodealer.

Part sent was missing thermal valve (part I bought else where had it) and I didn't want to chase a new one down. I emailed and told them it was (missing?) and they want me to pay to ship it back plus 20% resock fee? Horrible business practice.
I purchased a Briggs and Stratton valve…
I purchased a Briggs and Stratton valve seal from this company and when I received it I found the part in the sealed package was not the right part! I immediately called this company to let them know about the problem. They asked me to take pictures and send them to them, which I did! They acknowledged the problem and said they were issuing a refund. After several days, I did not receive any refund and I sent them an email inquiring about it! They indicated that they wanted the part returned and provided me a return shipping label! I learned that they received the part and had to inspect it, even though they had already acknowledged the problem after reviewing the pictures I sent them. After several days, I contacted them again and was told that the part had still not been inspected. Keep in mind that this whole process started on June 23rd and on July 10th they were still in the process of inspecting and no refund had been issued!!! Be careful buying from this company, their customer service is terrible!!!! I filed a complaint with the BBB and learned that this company already has an F rating with them!!!!

Items arrived in a reasonable time but packaging is piss poor. Large, heavy items were loose in the box amongst small/fragile/electrical parts.
Really - three mower blades (not even bound together) that punched through the package.
The carrier was generous enough to re-tape the box.
No packing slip. No email acknowledgement. Little online contact info.

Absolutely terrible customer service and a scam business model as well. Like others here, I ordered a part and after a week of waiting was told it was on backorder, so I asked to cancel. I was informed that cancelation was not possible because it was already marked for shipment, but online it still showed "awaiting shipping". After receiving it (2 weeks after ordering it) I was told that I would have to pay a 20% restocking fee to return. I tried to call and speak to a supervisor and was hung up on twice after being told the call would be forwarded to a supervisor. If you are reading this and work for this company you should look elsewhere for work if possible because these types of sheisty business models always fail. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!

Two companies, one great, but both are charge under one name.
Looked on their website, found the two items I needed. Put them in the cart and then after loading the credit card information I decided to check reviews on this Smallenginesprodealer and found a nightmare. I deleted all the information and did not place the order, and then next day they went ahead and charged my card even though I didn't order the parts. The account I set up shows no orders and no credit card information. They captured my card information and charged it anyway even though I didn't order anything. After calling and getting constantly changing conditions on the same call as to why the order can't be cancelled, I gave up. Turns out this seller charges under this name for Briggstrattonstore. Same address, same phone number. I've called them twice, friendly and helpful both times. This is the second order from Briggs and I have gotten both exactly as described and in good time. Not sure of the disconnect between the two storefronts, but, I am happy. Briggsstratton charges under the smallenginesprodealer name. Confusing at first, but I figured it out.

Wish I had read all of these reviews before I ordered parts. When I originally placed order, it showed my parts in stock and read that way for over a week. When I reached out because they didn't ship, I received email on back order. Just received my 3rd update, now its another month on back order. So much for in stock and ready to ship...now its a total of 8 weeks, for now, before it ships?? I understand the industry, but don't advertise what you don't have. I wouldn't be as upset if I knew from the beginning it was a minimum 8 week lead time to ship.

Ordered a part that I realized I did not need. It was a transmission for a self-propelled mower. It was back ordered from the supplier so I tried to cancel the order before it shipped. They would not cancel. Said they couldn't cancel once it showed order status as shipped, but it was actually back ordered so it had not shipped. They mark it as shipped as soon as the order is placed so they can use that as an excuse to not cancel the order. Once I received the part I initiated a return on their website. Their policy is transmission are not usually accepted but if the buyer will pay a 40% restocking fee and it was received in less than 30 days from your return request and the part was unused in original packaging they will allow returns. I accepted the terms and received and email from them requesting a picture of the part which led me to believe once I submitted the picture they would accept the return. After sending the picture they denied my return. I tried to call several times to get an explanation. The just will not accept the return. THEY ARE CROOKS. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

My debit card got charged over $800 from this place and I've never heard of them. Since tge transaction was still pending I called them. The woman was zero help. So I hung up on her and will call my bank.

If I could give a negative I would…this company is discussing in how it operates!!!!!! I purchased an item with the understanding, I would receive my product within 2 to 4 business days. However, I was informed that it was only if it was in stock but the website does not tell you if the item is in stock, like most websites. So I was under the assumption that I would receive my product within 2 to 4 business days. When I had not received my product within four days, I checked on the order status. It showed that they had not even shipped the order yet. I called to cancel and they refused saying I understood policies when I purchased from their website. Their cancellation policy will not allow you to cancel when the item is in what they call the dispatch line. Even though it will not ship for another few days, they will not allow me to cancel the order, even though their website did not tell me the item was not in stock. This is a pathetic company and I pray you do not get scammed by them like I did. I would advise you purchase your items from anywhere else other than this place. Please learn from my mistake 😔

Do not use. 5 months and still awaiting fulfillment. Fraudulent. said he would submit canceling order but won't know for 24 to 48 and not sure they will cancel. Wish I had seen these reviews. Very rude over the phone.

I ordered a part that was supposed to be in stock. When I found out it was on back order I asked to cancel . They told me to look elsewhere but not to cancel so I could keep my place in line. I found the part and wanted to cancel the next day. By that time they said the order could not be canceled even though it was not shipped. I conceded to ask to return the part for a 20% restocking fee. They said no returns until I recieved the part that had not shipped. Waited to get the part and now the restock fee is 40%. Just today that story changed to no return possible. This is backed up by emails and print outs from their Chat device. Total scam. They beat me out of $961 and knew they were doing it from day one.

Then forgot to call right away and they said you only have up to 30-days to return the item with 40% restocking fee. Straight up thievery.
Selling hopes & dreams
Placed order August 27th. 6 weeks later, NO parts. NO updates. NO communication. Selling parts they do NOT have, but taking ALL funds up front on what apparently are nothing but "backorders". Looks like they operate on the HOPE you forget about your order lost in your emails, so they get to keep your funds while providing NOTHING in return. They have NO INVENTORY! Just a drop-shipper...AVOID!!!

He told me that the companies were having a hard time getting parts to build the products. And he said it will be a while before they had the part back in stock. So, I did a cancellation request and ordered it some place else. The very next day they the status changed to preparing to ship. Another guy sends me an email saying that it was too late to cancel the item. I also talked to a guy on the phone and he said I would have to follow their return policy. Well, he wouldn't tell me what it was. So, for transmissions, if they let you send it back there is a 40% restocking fee. This product did not ship for another 2 days. It could have been stopped at their end. I will never do business with this company again.

If you wish to order from this company I suggest that you contact them first for availability of the item(s). They appear to have little to nothing in stock, which raises a red flag. My items took exactly 34 days to arrive. They also go by at least one other business name.

Said items were in stock, then emailed me and said they werent in stock, then told me I owed 3x more in shipping fees that they wanted paypal payment for. When I asked how they knew what size the box would be when they diddnt even have the items, they folded and basically admitted it was a scam. I asked for a shipping quote or invoice and they said they were going to refund my order. STILL NO REFUND! CONTACTING POLICE, FBI, AND CREDIT CARD COMPANY! AVOID THESE SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!
