I visited the clinic today to have a cyst removed.
From the moment that I entered the clinic, I was greeted with the utmost friendliness, courtesy and professionalism. Both myself and my partner were offered refreshments and every member of staff that we came into contact with were all absolutely lovely. Obviously, I was quite nervous as I had done an online consultation and hadn’t visited the clinic…this was a mistake on my part, as had I been to the clinic for an assessment, my nerves would have been completely nonexistent.
My procedure was performed by David Sainsbury and he was accompanied by Jo. Both of them completely put me at ease, and they also allowed my partner to be present whilst the procedure took place.
I had the procedure and then was given a thorough run through of the aftercare, and was reassured that should I have any further problems or questions, then I would be able to contact them immediately.
The premises were immaculate, the service was fantastic and I would not hesitate in recommending Skin Surgery Clinic at Newcastle to anyone.

I initially made contact over the phone but was told to use the online form. The member of staff I spoke to seemed reluctant to answer any questions. I completed the form on the 15th, but did not receive a response until the 19th. The reply requested additional information—including details I had already provided.

One request was for a scanned document, which I managed to obtain the following day. Rather than sending my personal medical information straight away, I emailed first to confirm if it was acceptable to send it to the same general email address I had received the reply from. I received no response, so I called the office. Unfortunately, the call began with background laughter and noise, which did not feel professional. The staff member advised that emails may not be answered for up to three days. I explained that I only needed confirmation on whether I should send my medical records to that email address. He said Katie would call me back.

A couple of hours later, I received a call from Katie, who came across as defensive and unhelpful from the outset. Rather than offering assistance, she repeatedly stated that emails are responded to within three days. At no point did she attempt to answer my original question or offer support. When I mentioned that I was considering leaving a review because of the poor service, I was simply told “that’s fine.” The hostility and dismissive attitude were completely uncalled for. The call ended without any clarity on whether it was appropriate to send my records to the email address.

I understand staff may be busy, but professionalism and clear communication should not be compromised. If staff do not have the time to deal with enquiries correctly, it reflects poorly on the service being provided. For comparison, I contacted three other medical centres for quotes, and all responded with the required information faster than Katie managed her three-day email response.

I wanted to leave a Google review so it was more prominent but don’t have a gmail account so leaving feedback here instead. I’m absolutely blown away but how fantastic this clinic was from the very start. I’ve never experienced such brilliant service. I had 2 moles removed by laser on Wednesday by Mr Williams and he was honestly amazing, as was the nurse. Things I loved were the fact that I could do a free online consultation as most places rip you off with this. This definitely swayed me to book. Also the fact that they are totally transparent and have their prices on their website. I found the info on their site really informative so I knew what to expect on the day. They were so welcoming, caring, friendly and professional. I felt genuinely valued and left feeling really positive. I fully recommend the clinic and I’m so happy I chose them.

I just wanted to say thanks again. My wound is doing well after just over a week. I had a lipoma the size of a bar of soap removed from my back. I know everyone says they are almost always benign but there's always that nagging doubt

The experience is "weird" (under local anaesthetic) but painless, and actually very little pain from the wound afterwards in this case. I'm glad to have parted ways with my lump.

10/10 from the start. I sent an email via the website and received a prompt reply from Kerry, the nurse who assisted with my procedure, answering my questions. I made a phone call to confirm a few extra details, and reception asked if I could wait until Kerry was free, as they didn’t want to give answers to specific medical questions. This was very reassuring, as I felt they genuinely cared about my concerns. Kerry then called me that afternoon. On the day of my appointment, I was seen promptly by David. He was very friendly and reassuring throughout the whole process, as was Kerry. I also received great aftercare following the procedure, and I’m very happy with the results.

I visited the Guiseley Skin Clinic on 19th October 2024 for a routine examination and was impressed by the enthusiasm of everybody i met. I saw Helena who could not have been more helpful. There was no feeling of rushing to get me seen and she kindly referred me to a doctor for a second opinion and closer examination. I was given excellent advice to follow and informed of the Mole Mapping Service the Clinic undertakes which after consideration since my visit I certainly intend to join. There was no charge for my initial visit and I left feeling reassured and very appreciative of excellent service - Keith Taylor

I had a Cyst removed on 04/06/2024
I’d had the cyst near my ear on my upper part of my cheekbone for over 20 years..NHS always refused to help with it as it wasn’t causing me pain or blocking my vision.
It was a decent size and people could easily see it.
I went to this surgery and the were brilliant and very laid back, the surgeon and his assistant were so calming and helped me relax and kept me engaged with them throughout the surgery, before I knew it we were done.
They took about 20 minutes to excise the cyst.
The explained after ect and gave me extra dressings should there be any temporary bleeding of pulling of stitches.
The scar I have now is tiny and along the hair line where the side burn area is so it’s blended nicely and healed quickly, and if I hadn’t stretched my skin when I was drying my face on auto pilot like ya do..I think I’d have pretty much no scar at all!

The surgeon is really good believe me I’ve had tons of surgery and have loads of scars! This place I would recommend!

Their prices do seem steep when in fact they are competitive and well worth it as the quality of the surgery speaks for itself.
I came out of that place feeling like a different person, I felt proud almost and stood tall again. Was/is a very good feeling as you go 20 odd years trying to hide it almost and been conscious of it’s very existence.
The price was £565 and you have to pay half upfront and half on the day you arrive for the procedure.
If you have multiple you can get them all done the same day and it’s less for the others as they can use all the same tools and less paperwork ect.

So yeah really recommend this place.

This company removed a lipoma on my collar bone.
They were very professional and put me at ease.
The consultant was very friendly and had gave the utmost care at all times.

The procedure was totally painless, quick and a full explanation of the procedure was explained.

I would certainly recommend Skin Surgery Clinic in Guiseley to friends and would return if I required any further treatments.

I had my stretched ear lobes reconstructed by Mr Andrew Williams back in December 2020 and whilst he was doing the left lobe, he seemed a bit unsure about something, like he wasn’t happy with it. I asked Mr Andrew Williams what the matter was but he just shrugged it off. Only after removing the bandages about ten days later I noticed my ears weren’t symmetrical. One was really tight against my upper jaw and it looks like my ear is being pulled. Mr Andrew Williams told me it was that the scar has tightened and that I need to moisturise it twice a day for the skin to loosen up. This process achieved nothing and I knew full well it was nothing to do with the scar… After trying to stretch it out myself for months on end I had no result and decided to get back in touch. Mr Andrew Williams invited me to come and take another look at it and said he could do further surgery to try and rectify it for a better result although there is no guarantee it would look any better, there was also a chance it would look worse! Also that I would have to pay a further £375 for his mistake! I believe he either cut away too much flesh or pulled the stitches too tight. Either way he won’t admit fault and still demands more money from me.

If you’re thinking of getting this procedure done, choose wisely which surgery you go, and which surgeon you use also. I thought I picked the right one and traveled more than 70 miles, only to be disappointed with the outcome and ultimately regretting ever getting the procedure done in the first place.

A company that treats paying customers with little respect. Was made to feel like a child, every appointment was met late (without apology) and got nothing but terse communications post procedure. Even my dentist has the ability to communicate more effectively and respectfully!

It was a lot of money for five mins of 'surgeon' time who didn't even have the decency to say thank you for your business, remain in the room till the patient has left, basically didn't want to spend one second longer with the patient than necessary. Might as well have just said, "I'm just here to operate this expensive laser and get paid, my assistant will do the rest".

So pleased I didn't allow them to undertake any other work, disappointed that I allowed my impatience to force me to use them.
