Great experience at Sigma Sports Wilmslow. Good selection of bikes, the fitting service was really interesting and helped me decide on my perfect bike and setup. Lastly great prices and competitive.

We recently purchased 2 bikes from Sigma sports in Wilmslow, very helpful when picking up the bikes, they set the bikes up for us and also adjusted them to our liking.

Visiting your Wilmslow store to collect my order of shoes and speedplay cleats today 11/6/26 the offer of fitting made previously by Paul caused consternation as staff in shop hadn’t done before, but credit to Lizzy who simply got on with it and a short time later she’d finished and talked me through the adjustments that could be made. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who…

Friendly and knowledgeable staff who really put me at ease as I got used to clipless pedals for the first time, and tried on a swimming/triathlon friendly wetsuit in order to find the right size due to struggling to find an appropriate size online (as a heavy-chested and petite woman).

Poor customer experience.

We ordered 2 bikes, only to be told 2 weeks later that one of the bikes wasn't available from Trek, so we had to cancel the order and search for the same bike which we found £600 cheaper elsewhere. When I came to collect my bike there were slight scratches on the paint work. The bike wasn't correctly handed over, the tyres weren't holding thier pressure and the travel on the brakes is excessive. I phoned the shop and explained this and they offered to rectify, however we live 90 miles away..I have now booked the bike into a local Trek dealership to rectify. I also think the 10% deposit for my partner is trek helmet was not taken off the final invoice, however due the complications of cancelling her bike order we couldn't confirm this with the shop before we left. In conclusion not a good experience..

Thank you for taking the time to speak with me directly about your experience. I appreciated the opportunity to discuss your concerns personally, and I’m aware that we’ve already started to address a number of the issues you raised.

I’m genuinely sorry that your experience with us fell below the standards we expect to deliver at Sigma Sports Wilmslow.

Regarding the cosmetic issue you mentioned, my understanding is that the marks on the frame were not scratches caused through use or handling, but imperfections within the paint finish itself. These were highlighted during the handover process, and a replacement bike was offered by the sales colleague assisting you at the time. However, I understand that you did not wish to pursue this option.

In relation to the tyre pressure, the bike was supplied with a tubeless setup. As discussed on our call, I believe the loss of pressure was likely due to the tyres being newly set up tubeless and the sealant still settling within the system, which can occasionally result in some pressure loss during the initial period of use.

Separately, you raised concerns regarding the amount of brake lever travel. Whilst the team offered to inspect and rectify this in-store, it was recognised that returning to us was not practical given the distance involved. As agreed, we are covering the costs associated with having this work completed by your local Trek retailer.

The helmet deposit has also now been refunded following our review of the order.

In relation to your partner’s bike, I completely understand the frustration and disappointment caused by the cancellation of the order. Having reviewed the circumstances, we recognise that we could have managed this process better. Whilst there were supplier availability issues that were not entirely within our control, I recognise that your experience was with Sigma Sports and ultimately it was our responsibility to manage the order and communication effectively. For that, I apologise for the inconvenience this caused.

I would also note that, as a courtesy, both bikes were brought into our fitting room prior to collection for sizing checks and setup adjustments to help ensure they were fitted appropriately for both riders.

Thank you again for taking the time to speak with me. Whilst I understand your disappointment, I hope the actions we have taken demonstrate our commitment to resolving the concerns raised and delivering the level of service our customers expect.
