We stayed here for a weekend birthday trip and enjoyed every moment! The house was gorgeous, spotless and views insane!

Superb is the only word to describe the accomodation,location and facilities.
Ideally suited for family gatherings or .as in my case,golfing tours.

Mews Hill Cottage in Fordingbridge offers luxurious accommodation, ideal for families or small groups on golf or fishing tours. It has all the amenties you could need and is ideally situated within the New Forest National Park with the convenience of shops and excellent restaurants close by. This was my third visit and I hope to be back.

Great stay at this lovely property in an excellent location

As a group of golfing buddies, we have just had a super 4 day stay in Mews Cottage. The accommodation is first class, with plenty of parking available. There are a number of superb pubs and restaurants near by with food to suit all tastes and budgets. If you are into golf there are a huge range of courses within about 30 minutes drive. I have also stayed in this property previously as a family group and there are lots of beautiful walks in the New Forest starting right outside your door

Clean tidy and well equipped

Great venue, beautiful surroundings, clean, comfortable, excellent facilities and well kept.

Accommodation was clean large and well stocked . The extra treat of a basket of local foodstuff and plenty of suggestions as to where to eat was perfect .

First time for me and family every thing was perfect will book next year as well 😁🙏

Property accurately described and all arrangements very clear : both before arrival and in the property itself.
Excellent quality furniture and fittings in a warm, comfortable house in a great location.

Extremely a great company, very helpful from start to finish, especially when I left some medication at the property, they very kindly picked it up from the property, so I was able to pick them up from their local office.
Would highly recommend them if you are looking for a large cottage for a lot of people.

Beautiful Lodge in a wonderful location with stunning views! We really enjoyed our stay at Riverside Lodge, the outlook is fantastic and the facilities provided were brilliant. We were welcomed with a lovely basket of water and New Forest treats, this was a lovely touch! We also really appreciated the milk, oil, coffee, tea and sugar provided, which really helped! The only reason I am not giving x5 stars is that we felt the stay was a little expensive all in all, we felt it was a shame that there was an extra charge for the hot tub, if the hot tub was included in the nightly cost then this would have felt a much fairer price. However we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this stay! x

Our entire experience with Caroline at Short Stays was exceptional. Despite encountering some payment issues on my end, Caroline remained incredibly patient and supportive, which made a significant difference. Once we arrived at the lodge, we were thrilled to find it was not only beautiful but also wonderfully quiet and secluded. There were plenty of activities nearby, just a short distance away. We’re already excitedly planning our summer holiday at one of their other locations.

Enjoyed a fantastic house in the New Forest recently with old school friends. This is our 16th or 17th get together and for the first time we have booked the same venue again for September. Thank you Short Stay Homes for the personal communication and making it an easy and stress free experience.

We came to Beck cottage for my 40th as a big group. The cottage was lovely and had a cozy feel to it, we enjoyed the little extras too. A beautiful house in a lovely location. We hired the hot tub which was a real treat too. Thank you!

The arrangements and all the children's activities were spot on. A big bonus was not having to get in the car for a dog walk!!
The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect but the only very small thing to point out was the cleanliness of the kitchen cupboards and drawers. But still more than happy to give 5 stars and recommended it to friends. I would now like to add that Short Stay homes have actioned a deep clean in response to my comment. Very impressive!

We rented Mews Hill and Criddlestyle Cottage for a boardgaming weekend.
Everyone said their beds were comfortable. There was plenty of room for us all. Lots of bathrooms and space.
The oven takes a while to cook, but you get use to it.
We will be returning with our dog

We rented both the farmhouse & lodge for a long weekend and had the best time - photos don’t do them justice! Perfect for a gathering with friends or family. Would love to stay again :)

We stayed at the Riverside Lodge 23rd - 26th January 2026. It was a present for my fishing crazy partners 60th birthday present. He fished, fished and fished. The river was flooded but he still managed to catch a barbel! 👏🏻
The Riverside Lodge was immaculate. Excellent facilities, wanted for nothing. I highly recommend this beautiful, peaceful lodge.
