We ordered a cantilever 'shelter' parasol (square, 3m x 3m). It came the next day with excellent comms from both Shade Specialists and the delivery company they use. The parasol is perfect, well constructed and has been incredibly easy to adjust during the day to shade from the sun. The first water filled base we received was leaking and Shade Specialists organised a replacment immediately. Thoroughly recommend both the parasol and the service provided by Shade Specialists.

Very good customer service from Caroline, helped me choose the right size, colour and shape for my garden. Delivery and installation was prompt. Quality is as they say and show. I would recommend them to friends and family.

I bought the Bambrella cantilevered Levante side wind model, bamboo finish and base. The finish of the materials from the laminated bamboo arm down to the small fixings is absolute top quality. Easy to assemble (2 people required), staff very pleasant and helpful. It looks and feels the Rolls Royce of parasols, highly recommended.

We just had a bambrella bamboo side wind delivered, it was very easy to assemble and we are really happy with the quality of everything, it looks amazing! Big thank you to the Shadespecialists team who helped me with the whole process and advising me on what size and what parasol would work best for my space.

I had the misfortune of purchasing a Bambrella parasol in April 2026 from this company at a cost of £2600. The initial process seemed smooth. On delivery several parts were missing and the concrete weights looked like they has come off a building site. I was unable to attach the parasol to the base. The parasol was marked.
On contacting the company, they sent the incorrect fittings twice and have yet to provide these, meaning that the device. One of the light fittings in the order has never been delivered and remains paid for.
The company agreed to a return, however sent the courier on a different date to the one agreed. They are now asking me to return a 200KG item at my own expense and have still not been able to provide these bolts that fix the parasol to the base.
It is shocking that a company that claims to be a premium manufacturer has such a poor attitude to customer service and quality.
Save your money and go for a cheaper (and likely much better) brand.
Shade Specialists are also the same company as manufacturer- Bambrella and for some reason market their own products at a small discount on a separate website despite having the same administrative staff.

Our Bambrella parasol's base broke some welds in high winds and we received a new part. Couldn't fit it due to swollen wood but Shade specialists supported us in finding someone to fix it. Now all back in working order. Thank you!
Good to see the new bracket has an extra weld now too in the spot that broke. Hopefully this one will survive the wind stress.

The rectangular Bambrella Parasol is substantial piece of kit which adds a real statement to our garden. The components were delivered as promised (we had to wait for the canvas to be in stock as we opted for the premium product), and the sales office was excellent in keeping us informed. However the courier company could have liaised better to deposit it in a more satisfactory location rather than dumping it on the doorstep! When assembled, and with its all-important weighted stand, it’s a very large and heavy piece of equipment, perfect for our sunny but breezy south-west facing patio. The assembly video and written instructions were clear. It took two of us (reasonably fit septuagenarians) to put it together in an afternoon. We envied the youth and muscle of the man on the video; nevertheless it wasn’t a difficult task. We are delighted with it and can see it will withstand use for many years to come.

Offers superb high quality products, great website backed up by personal service. I bought two parasols and bases, they didn't have the colours I wanted in stock but they immediately contacted me to let me know, and then sourced them very quickly, excellent delivery too. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I mistakenly ordered a stand for a side pole umbrella, without ordering an anchoring base (Gard & Rock). I asked to return the former and then had a change of heart and ordered the latter, supported by a very helpful phone contact who said she would try to get it delivered the following day, which magnificently she did! Less than an hour after delivery, the stand was in the ground, and easily installed.

It's windy now and the cantilever parasol is swaying. Not advisable, even with such a good foundation. You are advised not to use a parasol in windy conditions and, regardless of how firmly it is fixed, I'm not trusting to luck. Very happy with purchase (cheaper than Amazon), with customer service and with the streamlined look.

I placed an order for a parasol base and it was dispatched quickly with great communication, when it arrived it was missing a part which was my fault as I hadn't properly read the description, I ordered the other part and the team kindly dispatched it that same day and it arrived the following day, they have quick and excellent communication, brilliant company.

Excellent company with great after-sales service. The original order of a parasol and base arrived only 2 days after we ordered, with great communication. When we noted issues with the frame and parasol, these were replaced quickly and effectively. Very impressed.

It's often the things that go wrong and how a company deals with them that define how good they are, rather than the simple ordering and delivery. They were excellent in this regard.

They say “buy cheap buy twice”. On this occasion the first was so lovely I had to buy a second! Don’t let the cost out you off. The bambrella hurricane is not only beautiful but build to last. Then there is the service from Shade Specialists. They really look after you and although we had a delivery issue they went above and beyond to resolve it. 100% happy and highly recommend them.

We have recently purchased a Bambrella Hurricane Aluminium Parasol to cover our table in the garden. It is beautifully made and the structure seems strong and will last us a long time. I made a number of telephone calls to the company to ask questions regarding the suitability of the parasol and the weight to the base. Whoever I spoke to was helpful and well informed. Email exchanges have also been dealt with in a timely manner and any questions answered succinctly. On the strength of our experience we are now awaiting delivery of a second smaller parasol to shade our reclining loungers. All we need now is warm sunny days to enjoy them!

I bought a cantilever parasol from them earlier this year. The product was of a high quality. I unfortunately managed to damage the zip on the protective cover, which they replaced for free

We bought a Shelter Cantilever parasol from Shade Specialists two years ago. Last winter, while the parasol was in storage, we lost the base fixing bolts.
We decided to email them to ask if we could buy an extra set of bolts. They replied immediately and said they would send these bolts free of charge. And so they did - two days later, the bolts arrived, and our parasol is ready for another summer. Amazing service from the Shade Specialists team—we would certainly go back to buy another parasol once the one we have has worn out!

Caroline very helpful on telephone enquiry for replacement canopy for the first one which lasted years and had quite a bashing .Certainly helped putting into storage for winter.New one arrived promptly yesterday and fitted today.Looks great and a good price so thank you.
