I had done a little bit of sewing on and off, but was not very good with following patterns very well. Cathy was so patient and helpful. I really felt supported and able to follow a pattern to make something werable!

I recently had a one to one lesson at the Clifton Moor studio. It was a great morning. I am new to sewing clothes so needed a lot of support and information from reading a pattern to cutting out and sewing.
Linda was friendly and helpful. The studio was bright and spacious, and the mornings work certainly encouraged me to keep going and tackle more in the future.

The fact that I could order material I had previosly bought in store.

I’d never sewn before, but now I can! The teaching was amazing and I felt like we were given just the right amount of knowledge, not overloaded but those that had more experience were able to ask as many questions as they wanted so everyone went away satisfied. I came away with a pillowcase & pajamas- and have already made another pair from the pattern we were given! I am getting a sewing machine for Christmas so I think that’s a good reflection on how much I enjoyed the course :)

Useful skills teaching the basics of threading machine but also taking you through ambitious beginner project (pyjama bottoms). Lovely teacher - fun, friendly and very helpful who talked us through with clear instructions, explaining technical terms and giving excellent advice. Would recommend if you want to start but are a bit nervous or hesitant, a very accessible course.

Brilliant one on one sewing lesson. Kathy was lovely and great at explaining how to get to grips with a sewing machine. I now have a lovely cushion cover made by me and I'll be back again for my next project.
