Without having to spend a fortune, the ladies sort of "hold your hand" - which is just what you need at what is bound to be for most people a stressful time.
I'm still a bit of a newbie and won't be dependent on them as such, but it's nice to have a personal and friendly advocate to help navigate my way through the modern divorce process here in the UK.

SeparateSpace was a life saver for me. It allowed me to fully understand the process, know the right questions to ask, the templates were a godsend as a starting block (especially for pensions as I know nothing about them, other than that I pay into one!).
Having access to all these resources allowed me to lead the financial split process, walk away with what I was entitled to, and only spend a minimal amount with lawyers for the consent order write up and submission!

Separate Space is such an invaluable resource and support. I had already made a start on my divorce but became so overwhelmed with everything. I attended a webinar with the founders and it all made complete sense. I signed up straight away. I’ve attended members sessions dealing with matters around schooling and finances. I’ve made use of a couple of coaching sessions with Amanda which have been invaluable in reviewing progress with my divorce and signposting to other support. And also avoiding unnecessary solicitors fees with reassurance I had more in place than I had considered. Thanks for creating such a unique, safe and resourceful space - totally of judgement and stress.

The biggest issue is that no one expects to be in this situation. I had no idea where to start, what to expect, the process, timeline and emotional turmoil. I found SeparateSpace through a search online about DIY divorce. I was scammed by a lawyer previously and so feeling vulnerable I decided to go through the process without legal help initially and see where that takes me. After signing up to the site and getting a very good deal for 6 month's I have been able to access information and guides about divorce, parenting and everything in between. I am still working my way through the steps but I've found it so helpful and the team are always available on email to answer any questions you have or direct you to the right place. a lawyer costs roughly £150 for an hour. I've paid £135 for 6 month's access to the site (deal and new joiner discount). Even without the deal I feel it's affordable for anyone wanting to start the process alone. It is still early days but I feel calmer, more in control and supported. I've also accessed the instagram page where posts have been useful and I've joined a webinar. Many resources available to make you feel less alone. Highly recommend.
