Well where do I begin… I ordered with …

Well where do I begin… I ordered with Amazon as I have for many years and spent a lot of money over the years. I live in Costa Rica and when Amazon uses DHL I’ve had no issues. However the last three items ordered got diverted to SEKO and Mail Americas and that’s when everything went wrong!!! I was told that my deliveries were attempted twice but I was not home (BS) I live in gated community so if wasn’t the guards would’ve taken them I would’ve also received a text or phone call either way!! So I contacted SEKO and Dan Sutton (Sales development coordinator)and Brandy Stevenson (Control Tower Coordinator) both reached out saying “my team is on it”and that was the last I heard from anybody. One email reply that’s it this company is a scam and they are by far the worst I’ve ever dealt with. As a former UPS air employee I’m familiar with international shipping and how this works. If I could let everyone know to avoid or boycott this company I would I would also let Amazon know they are partners with crooks

Esperienza gravemente negativa con Seko…

Esperienza gravemente negativa con Seko Logistics.

Ho effettuato un ordine su un sito internazionale che si affida a loro per la gestione logistica. Il mio indirizzo era corretto e perfettamente collegato ai dati PayPal, quindi non c’era alcuna ambiguità nelle informazioni fornite.
Nonostante questo, durante la gestione della spedizione, l’indirizzo è stato elaborato in modo errato. La provincia è stata trattata come se fosse la città di consegna, rendendo la spedizione di fatto impossibile da recapitare.

Il corriere locale ha confermato chiaramente che:

io non posso modificare i dati, non posso sbloccare la spedizione, non posso ritirare il pacco e solo il mittente o il gestore logistico possono intervenire.

Quindi un errore avvenuto esclusivamente nella fase logistica ha bloccato completamente la consegna.

Risultato? Pacco fermo, cliente senza merce e soldi già pagati. Nessuna soluzione concreta, solo rimbalzo di responsabilità.

È preoccupante che un operatore logistico internazionale mostri una gestione così imprecisa dei dati di spedizione, perché un errore di questo tipo non è un dettaglio: impedisce materialmente la consegna.

Servizio inaffidabile, gestione superficiale e totale mancanza di risoluzione efficace.

Seko ultimately delivered, but required unusual effort. Caution advised.

Revised review.

Recently has 5 packages coming from Amazon in short period of time. Unusual for me. The two sent by SDHL, as always, arrived quickly, well ahead of date due for delivery>

The three sent by SEKO did not arrive. Know Seko always slower and sometimes had packages incorrectly returned to Amazon, typically marked "prohibited" and then cleared customs, but Amazon return process underway anyhow.

Reported to Amazon and they opended investigation. An email from their Corporate Customer Relations in part stated:

"
I've completed a detailed review of your recent international shipments and confirm that several of your order's successfully cleared Costa Rica customs, but were later returned after being incorrectly marked as prohibited by the carrier. We also confirmed that DHL's shipment to the same destination followed normal delivery procedures, which helped us identify this as a carrier-specific issue, not a customs or item restriction problem.

Because this has occurred multiple times. We've escalated the matter to our shipping and carrier operations teams, so they can investigate the handling of these shipments with our delivery partner."

I was able to provide a little additional info and my email address to Seko through Trustpilot once they responded to my initial review.

The good news is that following all of the above, Seko did act rather quickly to locate and deliver packages to me over a couple of days.

Knowing how logistics through customs work in Costa Rica and understanding that Seko, unlike DHL, had no network on the ground but operates through partners, it is easy to understand why from time to time and recently 3 times uniformly packages were marked incorrectly as "prohibitied." A partner can add to tracking and if see anything other than cleared customs is evident can mark pack "prohibited, undeliverable," etc.

There's an easy fix. Customs here generally updates status electronically only prior to a package truly being marked as "prohibited." By law in Costa Rica, when actually "prohibiting package from entering Costa Rica a document is issued and provided to party authorized to receive package with a case number ("expediente," other identifying info). If the Seko system required that any designation of "prohibited" or similar require upload of a scanned customs prohibition document or even a photo of it from a phone, this would prevent the problem. Everything official and important in Costa Rica still always involves a paper document.

Customs often have minor delays of under an hour to a few hours. Partners may not understand system or in some cases it is known will mark packages as "undeliverable" because they are getting through customs slowly and the receiving agent simply doesn't want to wait.

System I mention should eliminate substantially all of this and if abused by uploading invalid documents would have an electronic paper trail.

I am not yet ready to order again on Amazon anything I urgently need due to risk Seko might deliver rather DHL. Most recently I placed an order for items I will need urgently around end of January and because of recent experience these were not ordered on Amazon, but elsewhere and are being shipped through my Florida freight forwarder that will use DHL for delivery.

I will try out Amazon for a less urgent order, but not anything high value or time sensitive until I see what was broken is fixed.

All of this said, I am grateful that Seko took the non-delivery of three shipments quite seriously (with Amazon's review certainly not irrelevant) and I have muy itemns within timeframe I need them.

Seko's response and the tenor of emails I have received leave me optimistic that neither I, nor the many in Costa Rica who order from Amazon with the partner delivery (and a bunch I know personally who have stopped doing this due to Seko non-delivery at times) will see a problem-free operation going forward, however Seko resolves it.

My initial review was 1-star. But because Seko management has done what was ended to get packages to me ASAP have revised to 3-stars>

And my order is where????

My order was meant to arrive on July 21st,it is now July 28 and still no parcel!
Their tracking had been at the same spot since July 17. Where the heck is my order?????!!!!!
Absolutely ridiculous company.

SEKO Costa Rica is incompetent

SEKO Costa Rica had my order from Amazon for 16 days. They were told repeatedly that they had to telephone us when delivering - they never did yet they claimed they tried to deliver twice in the first 4 days. They didn't even claim to have attempted a deliver for the next 2 weeks .... and then they returned my order to Amazon. They are incompetent and unprofessional.

Avoid, avoid, avoid!

I still haven’t received my purchase. The maker turned it over to Seko to ship having previously said shipping is 3-5 days. It didn’t make this time window and was “expidited” and missed this date, too. The top person at the location got involved, marked it delayed and gave a new date. This date isn’t posted. I’m still hoping this expensive item shows up in one price.

Dont waste your time

I was giving quote of around £1400 to ship a parcel from US to which I agree. Apparently I had to have business account with them so i open all of that with my business details, vat number, eori etc.
Then when i was about to pay they come to me said it will cost 'upwards of £2800' to ship it. Apparently the item was 'not stackable'?!

They had the full info from my first email, regarding the item i was trying to ship, the packaging, the content, size, weight etc.

And I did what every person with little bit of brain would do, I called around to see if i can find cheaper quote. Company called Expeditors (highly recommending) quoted me $1530 for air shipping.

Rest you can read for you selfs bellow, I can not make this up...

Unfortunately, we have had some push back from our accounts regarding your Hotmail account and given the most recent email sent to Expeditors I’m afraid we will have to withdraw our offer to help you import these goods or any future goods.

Where is my parcel

Ordered from City Beach and paid for express (1-3 days) to WA. It has been 4 days and it hasn't even left the eastern states yet! If I had of known the surf shop used this carrier, I wouldn't have bothered!

Where is my parcel?

My parcel from white fox has still not been delivered despite them holding it in international transit for the past week. I have never heard about Seko before and I surely do not want to hear about them again as clearly you can't get the proper services that you pay for. It was meant to be delivered yesterday.

If you have a choice (which you probably don't) avoid at all costs.

As other reviews have mentioned, Seko was unable to connect the dots between getting the correct item to my door from the retailer (big box home improvement store swlling a product shipping from a company in FL). Had to get on customer service line with retailer and fight hard to get a replacement shipment sent when the first order was late, and wrong, and Seko never called to schedule the delivery. Then, they lost the second replacement order somewhere between chicago and denver, the local delivery team did not receive it despite it being listed on the manifest. Now I have to try and get a refund with the retailer while to them the status appears "in transit" although I've called and confirmed that they lost it.

The worst part of Seko is that they have no accountability because you don't know you are using them until something goes wrong with a retailer who uses them and you get thrown into working with the worst logistics company I've ever experienced. Unfortunately, this means I won't be buying anything that requires freight shipping from Home Depot until they firw this awful supplier.

Package has been in transit for 2 and…

Package has been in transit for 2 and a half months, no one can find it after import fees of nearly 400 AUD were demanded, has been sitting in Customs Held for Inspection in Mascot since April 9th.
No one can find it and the retailer is being stonewalled from replacing the items lost. Utterly ridiculous company, don't do business with them if you value your items. Still trying to get answers from them 67 days later.

Not comfortable

Horrible. Rude staff hung up the telephone 4 times in my face. They have in their hands a really expensive package to be delivered and looks like like they don't care. After some mistakes, they delivered, and the driver was very polite. The customer service is really bad.

Had a large order of clothing go…

Had a large order of clothing go missing with a retailer who partners with SEKO. It was left when no authority to leave was given in a visible area and the assumption is stolen. I went through the channels with the retailer to have the order replaced and this time went with AusPost so I could collect from the post office if not home.

Tonight, at 8pm, I just had the courier turn up at my door and enter my front gate with a flashlight pretending to look for the parcel and then knock on my door and confront me whilst also implying there is no way I could have got a replacement so quickly. I had to shout at him to leave the premises.

Never experienced something so unprofessional with a courier service in my life

Omniparcel blocked parcel

Bought item from Coggles, who use Omniparcel (SEKO logistics). On tracking the item we found it is blocked at customs in Sydney. We received an email stating “ Due to the customs clearance laws imposed by AUSTRALIA, you are required to pay import duty/tax. Payment was paid via omnipay(SEKO) and another email was received “ Thank you for your payment on your The Hut Group Duty and GST Charges, We can confirm all your formal clearance liabilities for your country have now been cleared for this order.” Issue now is, that the item is still blocked in Sydney, retailer says that custom duties still need to paid and SEKO says they can’t help until the retailer raises an investigation which they had already. With these 2 companies under the THG banner, you would think they should be able to get their acts togethers. Well round and round we go. Totally frustrating
