I have two things that I wish I could fix. 1. The two pockets need to be a bit wider. 2. There needs to be a buckle on each side to ensure the Velcro doesn’t come undone.

This carrier is great! This is my first time ordering from Safe Life Defense. However, it is a great first impression. I like the quality and design. I think the price is fair for the quality of the product. At this point, I won't use any other carrier brand.

Pocket access to small can't fit small wallet or iphone in it. Camera tab to outdate Axon uses magnetic system holder. I was able to use side pocket access for that. However would be nice to have the access big enough to put phone after all the idea of the outer carrier is to get stuff off the belt right... First time I've tried to use this type off carrier I'm an old cop(36th year in LE) use to having the vest under my shirt. So far I like this better but could make truly cop friendly by making pockets use full not just for looks. Chief Jesse M Van Alstine

This vest is what I’ve been looking for. Very well made and high quality construction. Combines the professional look of a duty uniform with the functionality of a tactical vest. Very comfortable sitting, standing and maneuvering. Combines well with the safelight belt. Very nice product. I highly recommend it to officers looking for a comfortable and functional duty carrier.

There needs to be another size option for safe life panels and carriers. While safelife offers a short size option it does not offer a tall, which it really should as I do not get enough coverage from the large. I’m 6’4 and a fit 195lbs and the large size fits my chest and width perfectly however, when wearing the concealable carrier and my uniform carrier below my sternal notch at the top, the bottom of the carrier and more importantly the ballistic panel stops several inches above my belly button. This large gap of 4 inches or so leaves me feeling vulnerable as I am more vulnerable and it looks silly while wearing the uniform carrier. My suggestion is make a tall size option and equip the front panel and carrier as the same size of the back panel. The back panels are two inches or so taller and would be amazing on the front for coverage. I would certainly buy a tall size should it be offered and because its not, I can’t recommend the fit of this panel to anyone thats tall like myself. Quality of Safelife seems on par or better than other major brands which is a plus.

Overall this is a great vest! It feels somewhat cheap compared to a turtle shell (obviously, it’s half the price) but considering it’s $200 this thing is great. I’m not a huge fan of Velcro which this thing is covered with, but it’s really strong. Hopefully it’ll hold up. I only gave 2 complaints, one being the pockets are TINY. I can BARELY smash a pocket notebook into them, and there’s no way a pocket press state statute/traffic code book will fit. My other complaint is based on my weight and height, 5’11” and 180, they recommend a medium. I played it safe and got a large, and I honestly am pretty sure I could have managed an XL. The sizing seems VERY small. Go one size bigger than the chart tells you, or possibly even 2. Aside from that, I love the carrier. It’s half the weight of my old one, stays nice and tight to my body and just overall looks/feels great

I really like how clean the outer carrier looks and feels. It adds space to my duty belt and allows for the weight to be taken off my hips.
