Disappointing especially for the price
We went for Thanksgiving and were so disappointed. I had a hair in my salad, the steak was rare after I asked for medium well. When I asked for it to be cooked a little longer, it came back the same but it tasted like grease.
When the bill came, it was $300 and no one said a word about making it right.
When you pay that kind of money for a nice dinner, it should be good.
We were also taken to the basement of the restaurant. It might look the same but lift up the tablecloths and you see tables that should have been thrown away.

We went to the Midlothian location for our 26th wedding anniversary. I had been wanting to visit for quite some time. My husband secretly reserved it. I ordered my steak medium well- as I always do. My husband ordered his steak well done- as always. When the steaks arrived, I immediately commented to my husband that his plate had a lot of juice on it, way more than mine. The server asks how is everything and we say "fine". This was right when the steaks arrived. I was eating my salad. So I could only comment on the presentation. I hadn't touched my steak at this point. When I tried to cut my steak, it was a bit of a struggle. My husband's steak was tender and juicy. Mine was stiff and dry. I joked with my husband that I was going to take it home to give to my bichon puppy, but he wouldn't be able to chew it. I didn't complain because 1)I didn't see the waiter again until we were almost done and 2) I didn't want them to think I was trying to get something for free and lastly, I figured if he comes to our table and see I have a whole steak here, that will be an opportunity to discuss this dried up piece of meat. I honestly think they got our orders mixed up. My husband's was a little pink and juicy. Mine didn't have pink ANYwhere. As I stated earlier, I always order my steak medium-well. My husband USED to always order his steak well-done. As a result of this, he now orders his steaks medium-well. When another waitress came to bag our leftovers, asked how was everything, I pointed to my dried up piece of meat. She immediately said, "let me tell the cook because that looks disgusting". I'll get you another one "to go". She came back and proceeded to bagging our leftovers. I asked her what did they say. Mind you, she didn't even mention anything about her talking to the cook, which is the reason she stopped in the middle of bagging our food. She just came back like nothing ever happened. Like we didn't just have a whole conversation about this dried up meat on my plate. I had to ask her what happened (i'm really thinking they're cooking me another steak until she bags up the dried up one) . She said "they said they can't do it because your server said he asked how was everything and you said fine. I said that was before I knew my steak was tough as a brick. I said "you see how hard this steak is?" (I tried to cut it). She said yes, and even reiterated how bad it looked, but I guess her hands were tied. To be completely transparent, I didn't throw it away. The next day, I sliced it very thin, seasoned it, and sautéed it with gravy and ate it. Never again, Ruth. My experience happened at the Midlothian, Virginia location on August 24, 2022. I could not input the correct date in, but the restaurant can look up the reservation under Bobby Sledge.
What a disappointment
What a disappointment! I ordered a gluten free option for a champagne tasting and the staff and manager had no idea what they were doing! They asked me what to take off the menu and even got it wrong! One server told me she didn’t even know the menu so she couldn’t help. Weird. Also, we got yelled at, told to shush, and were mocked aggressively by a table of rude elderly individuals (mostly these 2 women) for laughing and trying to enjoy. They approached our table and imitated our laugh and told us to go to Cocos - a diner, and said other horrible things on their way out. We didn’t respond bc we were shocked. Ruth Chris staff did nothing about it. Super disappointing and horrifying. If you are gluten free, don’t go. If you want to have fun, don’t go.

A little disappointed. While booking my reservation, I gave specific instructions that this was a business dinner, and NOT to be seated near the kitchen entrance or waitress station. Clearly these instructions were not followed and we had to deal with heavy traffic behind our table again. This table was also right next to a party or banquet room entrance, so we had to deal with that situation as well. Also, after being seated, we waited for over twenty minutes to see our waiter and then another thirty minutes to finally get our drinks. This was by far, the worst I've ever experienced at a Ruth's Chris Steak House. Needless to say, I'll be taking this customer somewhere else on their next visit to this area. On a positive note, the food was exceptional as always.
Tulsa happy hour
My wife and I ate at the restaurant in Tulsa, OK last night. We went to happy hour at the bar where we have dined several times a few years ago. The steak sandwich was always excellent but last night, the meat was of poor quality. It was not very tender and it contained a lot of gristle. Ruth's Chris is known for its steaks however I don't think they would ever serve filet steak of this quality in the dining room but maybe they feel it is ok to serve inferior meat at happy hour.
Anniversary dinner
My husband and I went for our 27th wedding anniversary and we had the most amazing server. Bree was attentive, professional, helpful with suggestions and recommendations, and just an overall joy and pleasant personality. Food was, as always, fantastic, but the incredible service makes it all the more impressive.
"Disappointing Experience at 'Ruth's Chris' Steak House: A Missed Opportunity"
As a visiting University lecturer from Britain, I recently had an experience at the 'Ruth's Chris' steak house located at Toronto airport restaurant. My wife and I were excited to try this steakhouse for the first time, but unfortunately, we were disappointed with the overall experience, including the service, food taste, and restaurant management.
We had a reservation for 7 PM and arrived on time. However, our assigned table was positioned in front of another table where a group of Chinese or Japanese-speaking individuals (we were unsure of their nationality) was seated. Their conversation was excessively loud, making it difficult for my wife and me to enjoy our own conversation. At one point, my wife overheard what she believed to be the word 'Niger' aimed at us, which was unsettling.
The disruptive noise from the neighbouring table led one of the head waiters to intervene and ask them to lower their volume and remain seated. Furthermore, a child, approximately 12 or 13 years old, was wandering around near our table with a large T-bone in hand, which was somewhat concerning.
As for the food, I ordered the Lobster Bisque, but found it to be overpoweringly strong in taste, not particularly enjoyable. For my main course, I had the Salmon, which was overly salty and not to my liking. Although our waiter, Jay, introduced himself and asked about our food, he didn't wait for a response. Additionally, we felt pressured when he attempted to push us into ordering dishes we didn't want, and his comments regarding our decision not to purchase wine were rather off-putting.
Overall, the combination of the disruptive atmosphere, unsatisfactory food taste, and less-than-desirable service left us with an underwhelming experience at 'Ruth's Chris' steak house. We hope this feedback helps the restaurant address these issues to enhance the dining experience for future guests.

disappointed. My salad was soggy and had no flavor. My steak was served on a small dish similar to a saucer.
The food presentation was terrible. The server came up to me while I was waiting for my husband to come out of the restroom. I mentioned all of the above to him. My mistake was NOT mentioning this to the manager. We have been to many other Ruth's restaurants in different states and countries. This is the worst one. We won't ever be back

These people do not have integrity and made me to wonder why their words are not good. Twice now, saying one thing and different things the next time. Poor service at this location and scandalous for husband and wife in their 70s. The food was messed up and they would do a replacement and then the next night saying the manager cannot help and rushed me off the phone. How RUDE.
Really Disappointing Service
We were celebrating my brother's birthday and were excited to eat at Ruth Chris on Dixon Road, Mississauga for the first time. The food was very good, with some real highlight like the ravioli, Lobster Mac & Cheese and steaks were lovely.
However, the service left much to be desired. Our waiter approached our meal like a second-hand car salesman. This surprised me as I expected an easy and gracious approach to service in such a high-end restaurant. He was clearly annoyed when I shared a steak with my husband (which we didn't manage to finish!). The thing that upset our party most was the way our waiter spoke to his junior colleagues, especially the ones that spoke English as a second language. He was rude and impatient with them, all within our earshot. If we could have we would have given the junior staff the tip instead of him. This is the first time ever we have not wanted to tip a waiter but did not want the other staff to suffer so gave in. We would not eat here again.
We loved the story of Ruth Chris, a single mom who was known for her magical ability to make everyone feel valued and comfortable. Unfortunate that the recruitment of the wait staff does not seek to reproduce this experiences for diners at this restaurant.

CREDIT CARD FRAUD
CREDIT CARD FRAUD! BE AWARE OF RUTH CHRIS STEAKHOUSE. My credit card was over charged for over $25.00 and my girlfriend's credit card was charged an extra $120.00. The server, Gabriel, apparently thought he deserved a 110% tip. I contacted the manager, Leo, and acted like he didn't care and did nothing to help correct the Fraud.

Service was great but the food was not what I expected to eat for the money I was paying. I was disappointed also on how expensive the drinks were. It was my first time and probably my last... not impressed at all.
