I adore this company. The owner was responsive to my emails and the quality of the linen is exactly as advertised.
Placed order 2 weeks ago, no reply, no response on shipping, number is out of service on facebook, no one will reply to my emails. Absolutely not ok with the prices of their items.
Rough Linen by far is the best source of linen you can find. I bought my first duvet cover from them years ago and it is still in great shape and gorgeous. Getting ready to buy another sheet set for the guest room.
What has happened to Rough Linen?I have been a customer for approx 10 years and have always congratulated them on their product and service. More than 2 months ago I ordered a sample card in response to a promotion and still have not received. I have been given several excuses - too many emails and moving premises.
Has Rough Linen been sold off to a large company with no skin in the game?
Makes me wonder if their once superb quality product is still the case?
They certainly won’t have too many emails or customers in the near future unless they focus on customer service

First time buying linen towels. The fabric has already softened up after only a few washes. I will definitely buy some more linen towels in the future.
They are definitely backed up on orders, but based on the reviews and the company's response to some reviews, it seems this has been a fairly long term situation that began early August 2023. I have a feeling this is a 2-3 person operation, and as a fellow business owner, I understand that it's hard to scale up handcrafted product manufacturing and retain quality.
I reached out for a status update and received a personal response quickly about the delays they are experiencing. I requested cancellation because they were unable to estimate a ship date, and after reading the reviews on here, I didn't want to wait months, although I'm certain the quality would be exceptional.
Organization and communication are crucial to a successful business. I hope they can more accurately quote their production time in the future, and keep everyone else who is struggling to contact them in the loop. They did follow up and indicate that they expect to return to normal delivery times within 2 weeks. (Not sure what normal delivery times were before they had issues, though)

I tried to order swatches to make a purchase many months ago, and still have not seen them! I emailed for an update a few weeks ago and was told they were delayed 10 days, but no update and no swatches now two months later. Feeling very low in confidence about making a large purchase from this company.
I'm still waiting for bedding items that I ordered on June 8, 2023. As a long-time customer, I could not be more disappointed in Rough Linen's terrible customer service.
Also, I ordered an Orkney linen summer cover. I compared it to an Orkney linen summer cover that I owned in another color & noticed that the weight of the linen was significantly lighter, the construction is not three-seamed as noted on website, and most importantly the label no longer states "Made in USA" & "100% linen." I paid a premium price specifically because the Orkney summer cover is advertised as "Made in the USA."
I've been waiting 15 weeks for items that are still advertised as available on the Rough Linen website. I continue to receive polite emails roughly every 30 days asking me to be patient.
I never received the sample colors I requested so how could impossibly order any product
I ordered samples two month ago and still nothing. Love your products but this seems excessive for such a simple request.

I first purchased from RL many many years ago (pinafores, St. Bart robe) and my items are still in great shape and cherished possessions. The one star review is because I purchased an apron to gift to a friend at the start of July, and it still has not been shipped as of Sept 9. I had a prior exchange with Customer Service over a month ago, and was told something about an issue with a fulfillment center and that the item "should ship soon". Since then, crickets. No matter how great the products, I won't order again from this company until they can get their service back on track.
I have not received my order. It was confirmed 6 weeks ago. I have emailed the company for information several times and and not received a response.
I've been a fan, and loyal customer, of Rough Linen for many years and ordinarily would rate 5 stars. I love their linen robes and have ordered many, for myself as well as for gifts. Unfortunately, my most recent experience barely warrants three stars. I placed an order on July 20 and am still waiting for it more than a month later. I had some positive correspondence with Customer Support in early August but my recent status inquiry remains unanswered. I wrote to cancel at least part of my order because it was a gift and the date by which I needed it had passed but I never received a reply but then, three days later, a shipping notice. That was a week ago and I still have no idea where my order is. And yet I continue to receive advertising emails which are annoying if outstanding orders can't be handled with any sort of timeliness. So, yep, frustrated...
I still don’t have the order I placed 7/23/23. Label made and shipment readied on 8/17 and today is 8/26 and tracking shows it’s still in CA…
This has never happened before and I’m sure there’s a reasonable explanation.
