Paid extra for expedited shipping within the Bay Area. Should've been a no-brainer. For over a week the order wasn't even processed for pick-up. I spoke with UPS and they confirmed that Rothy's never requested pick-up. I then spent 2 days on the phone with Rothy's trying to get the order on its way. Customer support was useless. Now I have to wait 3 weeks to get my money back. Never buying from Rothy's again.

Not good enough for the price you are paying. Quality is not great.

The sneaker is the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn in my 48 years of living. I will purchase more.

Agree, not comfortable, although they do look stylish. I took insert out to try to make it more comfortable. It helped but I would not wear if I was planning on walking around. Disappointing

I ordered a pair of black bow flats and wore them for the day. By the time I took them off my feet hurt. They weren't snug or rubbing my foot,they were just not comfortable at all. I tried to get a refund but since I had worn them, once, Rothys didn't budge on their no wear policy. How are people supposed to know if a shoe is comfortable if its not worn? Anyway, I don't think they are worth the $145.00 or the hype.

I received a pair of Rothy flats as a gift, after 7 months, I noticed a hole on the side of the shoe. My daughter, who purchased the shoes for me, contacted Rothy’s to inquire about a replacement, refund, exchange or incentive to replace the shoes. She was told that “I am sorry she is noticing a difference in her shoes. I know this can be upsetting…no matter how well you take care of your shoes, they will show signs of natural and unavoidable damage due to aging plus wear and tear. This can be color fading, fabric wear, as well as snags or fraying.”

When a pair of shoes is over $120.00, advertised as “washable, durable, sustainable” and holes appear after 7 months of casual wearing, it is very disappointing. I followed up with Rothy’s and have yet to receive a response. I will not purchase Rothy’s shoes nor would I recommend them based on the response from the company. A quality product would last more than 7 months and a good company would stand behind their product.

Unfortunately, despite the premium price and claims of sustainability, Rothy's shoes are neither. I finally broke down and purchased myself some Rothy's for my birthday in June of 21. I was very excited to try a sustainable shoe, that was washable and comfortable. However, the shoes started to look worse for the wear over a few months and finally after a number of washings that followed their instructions exactly, had shrunk in the heel so the back of the shoe slanted toward the toe. This made the shoes much smaller, and made them both painful and terrible looking.

I contacted Rothy's customer service and they informed me that the shoes shrink with every wash, told me I should buy a shoe stretcher and they wouldn't warranty them. A shoe stretcher is not going to solve the issue as the heel has shrunk at a different rate, probably because the heel knitting is opposite to the rest of the shoe.

These shoes lasted less than 6 months, look terrible, and their CS doesn't care about this known issue. For $125 and up, I expect shoes to last longer than 5-6 months, and sustainability is a joke for the longevity.

The pointed and round flats run small and do not fit. Suggest going a half size up. There was a defect in anchor sneakers I bought and it took a lot of time with back an forth emails to make an exchange. I explained that the defect hurt my foot. It should have been an easy exchange. Now that I have good pair of the anchor sneakers, I love them but they get dirty easy.

I was hesitant about buying these and waited a good 6 months to justify the cost. They are not really that comfortable...at least not as comfortable as they advertise themselves to be. They spend a lot of money on marketing and advertising (celebrity reviews, etc.), but shoes are overpriced for what you get. I do admit that I like the style and color I chose though. Would not recommend. I had previously used Allbirds which were slightly less expensive, very comfortable, but also not sure I'd recommend because they wore down pretty quickly.

The negative comments about their customer service are correct. They just mess everything up. They sent me someone else’s order and are telling me that I have to pay to send them back. Like, what? Literally the worst company. Will never ever buy from them again.

I too have noticed their snippy customer service but this review is really about the quality of their shoes. I bought two pairs back in early 2020 and wore them almost daily to work through the pandemic (hospital worker). They were great because I could wash them regularly. After about a year each pair developed a hole near the outside toe. Not too bad for a year's worth of daily use, I thought. So I bought another two pairs in June. It is now early September and both pairs of shoes have holes in them. Rothys has clearly downgraded the quality of their product. $165 for shoes that last only two months is ridiculous. Would never buy again. A shame, because the shoes they were making a year ago were worth it.

I never tried their customer service, but I have been buying from Rothys since years and introduced it to my family. Lovely shoes, great colors, sustainable and fashionable.

Never hurts your feet if you ordered the right size, the reason behind a 4 star instead of 5 is due to it not keeping their game up. There are other companies that does sustainable heels 👠 and more affordable shoes than Rothys. I sincerely hope they do level up their game.

OMGG I Love these!! I have only had them on for 20 minutes but they are sooo comfortable. I got the camo ones after coveting them for at least a year, couldn't justify spending that much on myself what with all that's going on, but my 2 old pairs of sneakers both fell apart so I got these and they are wonderful!!

If there is negative star rating, I would give that to Rothy's CUSTOMER SERVICE and ORDER PROCESSING TEAM. I do not understand how a company with a motto " We believe in doing things differently" and charges premium price to the shoes be so careless about their CUSTOMERS. MISTAKE #1 Wrong shoe size , among multiple pairs i ordered, one pair was wrong size. I contacted customer service via "CHAT" as soon as the order was delivered so that I have enough time to get right size pair and I can present it as a birthday gift. MISTAKE #2 After explaining tehe situation, the customer rep lady told me my return will be processed and I should get the details in email. Now let's just think about their policy ..... the return or say the right size pair will not be processed until the shoe is shipped by the customer.( a customer who actually cannot use the shoe and the mistake made by the ROTHY's order processing thing). Such a wrong policy and LACK OF TRUST TOWARDS CUSTOMERS and NO VALUE TO CUSTOMER for the target customer who Rothy's is catering --- A customer who pay premium and who waits for the delivery and who believes Rothy's value , company thinks a customer might do fraud or cheat and want to see the first so that customer get the right pair. The better policy would be supervisor double check the orders before shipping the product .MISTAKE #3 Talk to customer service again to let them know that return label is not yet in my email and found that the first customer rep did not process the return hence no return label on the way . Again believed the rep's same response , u should get it in the email and waited. Contacted again after couple of days of waiting to check on , since there was no return label sent in the email. Now talking to third person, explaining the situation again , p0roviding the order details to know that no return had been processed and she will start the return now . This rep was VERY VERY RUDE AND IMPOLITE in so many ways . Can't believe these are the employee that stands for ROTHY'S values....so now really frustrated , contacted the customer service rep over the ph , thinking it might be better to talk to the person on the phone . God I was so wrong about it , same thing again will create the return and u should get it in email, no apologizes , no sorry , no helping attitude , instead she is LAUGHING at every line I was saying explaining my situation --- I ordered it as a BIRTHDAY gift for this week and now it is getting delay. When told to talk to supervisor she told me laughing Supervisor will have to call me and when I told I can wait on hold and she can transfer the call to the supervisor, she told me again LAUGHING, THERE IS NO PH TRANSFER SERVICE and she cannot transfer the call to her SUPERVISOR. Such a humiliating and bad experience. Negative star will not even be suitable for the service they provide.

These shoes are marketed with false advertising. After washing the shoes in cold water they do not fit and I can't wear any of my 3 pairs. I attempted to contact customer service but they were extremely unhelpful. I will NEVER purchase from rothys again. I like my Birdies better and it's important to me to buy from a company that stands behind their product, which rothys doesn't.

Though I do like my Rothy shoes, their customer service is terrible. I’ve decided at this point I can never buy another pair of their shoes, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.

I finally caved in and splurged on a pair of Rothy’s. The sea green color was nice, but I noticed right away that they get super dirty and no amount of hand or machine washing gets them truly clean.
More importantly, a hole developed on the bottom near my upper right toe. This was after a couple of months of casual use. No amount of going back and forth with Rothy’s got me a refund, a suggestion, or a discount offer. They claim to make long lasting products that they stand behind, but they don’t. They are not worth the money, and they are certainly not worth it if they fall apart after a few months just like cheap shoes would. Actually, I had cheap shoes last a lot longer and do a lot better than this. Don’t believe the hype, save your money and buy five pairs of shoes that look just like them for the same total price.

This company does not accept returns they have every excuse in the world so I'm just out $190.00 never ever buy from this company. I'll let my CC pull the money back and their product can go in the trash.

I have been a long-time customer of Rothys. They almost never have a sale or offer discounts. These shoes are not cheap and I have purchased many of them. Recently they actually had a sale that they call an "archive event." I used the opportunity to purchase a style that I had not tried before (The Chelsea). I purchased this boot in the size that I always buy as recommended at their site. I could not even come close to getting this shoe on my foot. I contacted customer service after attempting to process a return online because it would not allow me to complete it because this was a sale item. Customer service refused and advised that they do not allow returns on their sale items! I sent two emails asking them to reconsider based on my long-standing loyalty to the company (I have purchased over 15 pairs of shoes in the last several years). They flat-out refused and did so rudely. I will never do business with Rothys again! There is another very similar brand out there that is just as nice and less expensive and has more contemporary styles to select from. If you are looking at Rothys, check out Vivaia shoes. Seriously a better company and similar to Rothys without the poor customer service.

Crap shoes with highly allergenic glue used all over the heel as well as the midsole. Gives me crazily bad allergic reactions (to colophony / rosin). Totally unwearable and the company just said "tough".
