First time buying stuff in this store…
First time buying stuff in this store but unfortunately you can't even return it. I have my receipt tags are still intact why can't we return it. You should change this policy if you want your company to grow bigger. Just frustrated with this experience. Very poor customer service.
RIP CURL STL LAMBERT INT AIRPORT
I purchased a bathing suit at the rip curl store in St. Louis Lambert Airport. I didn't have time to try it on and when I reached my destination, it didn't fit. I left all tags, protective wear intact and I have the receipt. When I went to exchange/return it, I was told it was final sale from their customer support team. Nowhere on the receipt does it show the return policy. And the salesperson who was busy on her cellphone mentioned nothing about a final sale. How is this ok? Not even a store credit was offered. I should have read the reviews ahead of time. In my opinion, customer service is clearly not a focus at this store.
Junk
Shocked at Rip Curl's decline. Used to be my go-to wetsuit supplier, but the last one fell apart in under 6 months. Bought a polo shirt around the same time which is also already full of holes. I was stupid to give them another chance, but I ordered a hoody and school bag for my son because they were on offer - zip on the bag is broken, and school hasn't even started yet! And the hoody is sub-Primark quality. At this rate and judging by the other reviews, they're finished as a brand. Absolutely dismal.
Cant return to physical store
I know they say it in the website but it's the only store that I know of that won't accept an online order in a physical store. I bought a surfing wetsuit that doesn't suit me and know instead of going to the store which is 30km from me I need to pack everything back. Don't understand this, really bad for the customer.

I have ordered online at Ripcurl Online in South Africa (ripcurl.co.za) and both times they have allowed me to pay for items and then not send them. First time they said I can substitute (for an item of same value only), which kind of bullies you into ordering something else. Second time I ordered a jacket and two tshirts. I only ordered the tshirts to avoid paying a wasted delivery fee and they ONLY sent the tshirts and I received no communication or refund. What is wrong with your ecommerce site that you allow people to pay for item you don't have in stock? I am starting to think it's a scam to get you to buy multiple items, knowing you won't get some of them.

Will never again shop with this company. Needed a shorty. Website claimed it was in stock. Ordered. One, two, three days pass and still ‘processing’..i contact them. I specifically said, in writing, i need to know if this is not being sent out today because i need it and if it won’t reach me in time i’ll need to pivot my game plan. Absolutely assured it was being sent immediately. TWO DAYS later they finally create a label for it. The following NIGHT they bother to actually send it. And rather than ‘within 5 days’ it was sent slowest possible method and will take 8 days. By the time i receive this thing i literally won’t need it. Seriously. The water temp will literally be beyond needing a shorty anymore. I don’t know if the customer service reps are passive aggressive or just incompetent but if you actually want to receive your order with speed, order from somewhere else. If i ever actually receive this shorty i can update with a comment about where the quality stands. Rip curl used to be awesome. Not so much anymore and i suspect that also applies to the actual products. Sad. Knowledge is power though so good luck fellow shoppers.
Terrible service
Terrible service! I have a watch under warranty that needs a battery replacement and I can't get Rip Curl to change the battery! In the store they tell me to go to their website and ask for this service (because at the store they don't deal with this?!) and on the website there is an area where I have to fill in a form which always gives the same error when I try to send it. I've written to customer service several times and they keep sending me the same link with the form that I've already told them doesn't work and I've been going on for weeks...

I didn't receive my order. I tried multiple email addresses provided and none of them worked. Tracking app back dated delivery information about 10 days after the fact to say it was delivered - checked the app on the 19th of June and it said it was in customs since the on the 3rd. Then checked the app on the 21st of June and it said parcel was delivered on the 11th of June. Total scam website
No costomer service
Rip Curl Cronulla had no Costomer service. Had to get dressed 4 times in fitting room and come out and approach staff for another size as they were all standing at front of store arranging a rack . . No wonder it always looks empty .

Rip curl will not refund wet suit
I returned a rip curl wetsuit because it didn’t fit my son well; arms were very tight and uncomfortable. We kept the booties and gloves that arrived in the same package. I had to pay for Shipping the wetsuit back so I used a smaller box (less things to put in it). They will not refund my money because it was not returned in the same box it was shipped in. The instructions to send in same box were separate from the may list of refund instructions so I missed it.

My Rip Curl slides fell apart after a few weeks. I paid $45 and theres been no customer service offered.
I was told to take them back to the store which is 4 hours away was their only response.

Ripcurl was once a great company with raving surfers like myself about the customer service and their wetsuits. It appears it is no longer privately owned and their customer service has evaporated. I contact them as there is an obvious defect with there Flashbomb wetsuits. I contacted them because the last two suits I bought, the aquaband tape began to crack and peel off on all the seams. I have worn the suits maybe 3 to 4 times in the winter because I live in Florida and rarely do I need more than a spring suit. The suits remain in my air conditioned closet the rest of the year. I was aware they would not honor the warranty because I was advised of that when it happened to my older suit. The new suit is less then two years old. I asked if they would repair it and charge me. They said no, they don’t repair them. I then asked if they could sell me the tape. Same response, we don’t sell the tape. I’m sure this is a defect in the manufacturing which they obviously do not choose to correct or stand behind. Definetly not the company they use to be. The old Ripcurl would have worked to satisfy their customers. Don’t think I asked for anything unreasonable. Stay away!!
