Had a great experience

Had a great experience, sorted out an android head unit for my range rover sport, works perfectly and very happy, bit far to travel but well worth it, highly recommend.

I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere


I bought two aftermarket LED headlight upgrades for a BMW 3 Series from Restyle Automotive at the end of January. The price included installation. They are located about 2.5 hours away from me, so arranging this was already inconvenient.

After I paid, my installation appointment kept being postponed and cancelled for weeks. Only at the beginning of March, after I told them to either install the lights or refund the money, did they suddenly “find time” to do the job. I was told the installation would take around 6 hours and we agreed I should arrive at 9:00 AM on Saturday.

To make that happen I woke up at 6:00 AM and drove 2.5 hours.

When I arrived, I found a locked garage with nobody there.

I called and messaged them. The response? They were apparently “collecting tools.” They finally turned up at 9:50 AM. No apology. Nothing. Just two lads who looked about 20 years old, rolling their eyes when I pointed out that making a customer drive 2.5 hours to a locked garage might not be the height of professionalism.

I left to walk around town for six hours as agreed. When I returned, I discovered that they hadn’t even removed the headlights yet. Instead they had been “messing around” with the bumper.

When I asked what exactly they had been doing for six hours, I was told that they had three other customers that day as well, even though I was the one booked first.

So here I was, still sitting in their garage two hours later than promised, with no apology, no explanation, and no reassurance that the car would even be reassembled properly.

Eventually, after spending around 11 hours in their garage, the job was “finished” and I drove the 2.5 hours back home.

During the drive it became obvious that the headlights had not been aligned at all. They were pointing far too high and were blinding oncoming traffic for most of the journey home, with drivers flashing their lights at me constantly.

But the surprises didn’t end there.

When I got home, I discovered that the driver’s door handle had not even been screwed back on properly — the bolts are simply missing. Earlier that day they had removed the door card while attempting to install ambient lighting, which they eventually admitted “did not fit.” Somehow during that process they managed to lose the bolts for the door handle.

On top of that, a bolt from the front panel (the trim piece extending from the bonnet area) is also missing, and the panel itself is not fitted correctly.

So after a 5-hour round trip, waking up at 6 AM, arriving to a locked garage, waiting around all day while other customers were prioritised, and spending 11 hours there, I returned home with:

headlights misaligned and blinding other drivers
missing bolts from the driver’s door handle
missing hardware from the front panel
panels not fitted correctly
warning errors appearing shortly after installation

Impressive.

What is even more remarkable is what happened after I informed them about these problems.

Instead of quickly resolving the situation or arranging a competent garage in my area to correct their mistakes, the response has been a never-ending series of promises that something will be arranged “later today” or “tomorrow”.

In other words: more delays, more excuses, and more wasted time.

At this point it feels less like customer service and more like a strategy of simply dragging things out long enough that the customer gives up.

The entire experience — from cancelled appointments, arriving to a locked garage, waiting all day while multiple other customers were prioritised, and finally discovering missing parts and poorly finished work — has been extraordinary, and not in a good way.

If you enjoy driving five hours round trip, spending an entire day waiting around a garage, and later discovering that parts of your car were put back together incorrectly (or not at all), then Restyle Automotive might be the perfect place for you.

Personally, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Highly recommend, got apple car play fitted today… had quick and helpful responses throughout. Also managed to fit me in really quickly, over all very happy. Thanks so much!

Mercedes full screen CarPlay adapter

I've got a full screen wireless CarPlay installed to my Mercedes. Everything works fine and guys were good. I just wish I knew that with aftermarket installation, I wouldn't be able to see Aircon, music volume, and anything you do on the main screen wouldn't shown while on the CarPlay screen anymore. They are currently also working out of their garage, so you need to be prepare to go somewhere to wait until they complete the work. Overall I am happy with their service and they were really nice guys but would have liked a bit more info on how things would work.

Great update for my S-Class

I left home with a portable Apple car play unit with a small screen and nowhere to properly mount it in my 2012 S350L and drove home in the dark with a beautiful large screen mounted in the dashboard as though Mercedes fitted it at the factory. This is a huge Increase in driver safety and convenience. Great work standard. I’m a very happy shopper. If you are wavering about their capabilities, ask to see the dashboard of their 2010 Range Rover runabout with its two large screens mounted in the centre console - I thought it was some late model up-spec factory car. Wow! Top people.

They done an upgrade CarPlay for my Audi a6c7 2016 and I’m very happy whit services !!! Done in time very clean job all the interior trim in perfect condition !!! Per total service perfect just like they describe !!! The team is amazing very professional and friendly !!! For sure I will go back to them for interior lights !!! Guys you are fantastic amazing job !!!
