Pleasantly surprised.

I liked the cleanliness, size and location of my room in the versailles tower. At first I was disappointed at the long walk to my room but the proximity to the horseshoe casino was great. After being there for a half day I really appreciated the quiet somewhat isolated location with very little cigarette smoke smell. I was there by myself but if I was there with my girlfriend I would want to stay in the main tower overlooking the strip. When I reserved my room I was supposed to have a pool view but the pool was across the street and not visible because my room floor was too low. Even if I was on a higher floor the view of the pool would be across the street. Not what you think of with a hotel pool view. The check in process is always slow so I used the kiosk which was much faster.

RIP OFF!

Prices for hotel rooms were at least $150 per night more than if I had booked directly with the hotel. Non-refundable. And when I tried to change the date, they wanted to charge me another $233 on top of what I already paid!
Don't fall for it. Book directly with the hotel.

You closed the pool

You closed the pool. I believe the dates were changed. The reception desk was extremely uncooperative when we asked how to get to Lima.
You placed me in a handicap room without verifying with me. The low profile beds were not good for getting up. I didn’t realize this until after I unpacked
The carpet was never slept.
A pretzel and rubber band left by previous guests was still on the floor when we left

We didn’t exist when we tried to self check in ? Who would have thought that my middle initial should be included in my last name? Thus I became Jboynton ? We couldn’t access our room floor in the Elevator?? 20 Minutes later with Security’s help we finally figured out that our room number had been changed between the Time we checked in and we tried to access the Elevator. We definitely were not Impressed

Can’t provide receipt for stay

Upon check out of the hotel I needed a print out of the folio for reimbursement purposes. The hotel let me know they can’t provide that but to call the company. When I called the number posted on Reservations Portal, the person who answered sounded drunk and multiple times said “it looks like it’s going to rain” followed by an “oh shit” then switched me over to an AI assistant. The assistant was unable to provide any information and if I asked a direct question there would be a long pause and then the same question repeated. I was “disconnected “ multiple times until they stopped taking my calls. My husband also called at the same time I was and got the same agent that I was speaking with at the same time. Multiple times I asked to speak to a manager/different representative and when I did was immediately disconnected. When asking if they were an AI assistant they lied and said no they weren’t an AI assist, even though the voice was robotic and was clearly not a person. I have no idea how this is a real company that is allowed to be this predatory but I will be making sure that no one I know uses them ever again.

In response to Reservations Portal reply: I do not see where other commenters have provided their information on this site to you. I would feel more comfortable at this point speaking with a sales associate (person not an AI assist on a phone). Is there not a way I can call and speak with a representative at this time? If there is, does that number differ than the one you have provided on your homepage?

Do not use - scam

Do not use. Total scam. Charge triple the room price that the actual hotel charges. Zero ability to cancel within 24 hours. Do not make it clear you can’t get a refund on certain packages. Abusive business practices, terrible customer service, complete scam.

On pricing: We are a third-party travel booking platform, not a direct hotel booking channel. Our rates include the service, procurement, and reservation guarantee we provide on your behalf through our supplier network. We have never claimed to match hotel-direct pricing, and our platform is upfront about this.

On cancellation: The rate you selected was a Smart Saver rate, which is non-refundable. This was disclosed prominently at multiple steps throughout the booking process, including the rate selection page, the checkout page, and the final purchase confirmation, which required your explicit acknowledgment before the transaction was completed. This is not buried in fine print; it is a clearly labeled feature of that rate type.

The reason there is no 24-hour cancellation window on these rates is simple: your room is secured with our supplier the moment you book. The reservation is live and held on your behalf immediately, so there is nothing to unwind after the fact.

On Customer Service: Our team members are people, and they deserve to be treated with basic respect. When that standard is not met, we reserve the right to end the call, which is what occurred here.

We are sorry the experience did not meet your expectations, but we stand behind our team and our process.

DO NOT USE

Please do not use. They will charge you cancellation fees even when their systems or representatives give you wrong information on modifying bookings. I recently had a 2 day work trip planned and accidentally booked the wrong location but correct hotel. I needed to modify my booking the the hotel across town and called the hotline. The rep walked me through changing locations and thought that I was good. Then upon check in, the hotel told me my stay was 1 night. I immediately called reservation portal where they hit me with another $260 modifications fee. The rep made it seem like the manager was going to call me and refund. A week passes and I call the hotline and was informed no cancellation fee so I am out of luck. Paid $1500 for was was supposed to be $900. Worst thing is it was the same hotel chain and I just changed locations. I should have commuted. Book through the hotel or a reputable 3rd party establishment.

Overall

Overall, the experience was very, very good. I liked the quality of bed and hotel room. The casino was very good, but I hate cigarette smoke so I didn’t spend much time there. I thought the bars and the restaurants were exceptional quality.

Use the real hotel site

Use the real hotel site. My son was booking for me at a specific hotel, and searched it and came up with this site. For a non-refundable booking, he paid $175 more than what you can easily find for a refundable booking on the real hotel's site. I realized the confirmation was from the wrong place but they wouldn't let me cancel even though the booking was done in error. Also they had incorrect information in the fine print that was not true for the particular booking.

In response to their reply below, if you see print that says that there will be an email about insurance, wouldn't you expect there to be insurance that would cover something like an accidental booking for a person who is not able to check in to that hotel? They expect you to read the fine print about check in details but ignore other fine print that is incorrect. Also I asked for but was not given a detailed itemized receipt; there are only two items "room" and "taxes and fees" so there would be no way to know what the fees are or get reimbursed if I needed that.

I want to address the pricing question directly. We are an independent travel agency, and hotels actually require us by contract to honor their published rates. We are not permitted to undercut the hotel's own pricing. Any difference you're seeing between our rate and another channel is most likely a difference in booking terms, specifically refundable vs. non-refundable rates. Refundable rates carry more flexibility and typically cost more; non-refundable rates are lower precisely because cancellation isn't an option.

Because the reservation was completed under non-refundable terms, we are bound by the supplier's policy and cannot process a cancellation or refund. We understand that's frustrating, especially when the booking wasn't made as intended, but those terms are agreed to and confirmed at checkout.

On the insurance language you noticed in the fine print: that text came from our supplier and was included in the booking documentation we received. We want to be transparent that you were not charged anything related to insurance. We have also flagged this with the supplier to make sure the language is corrected going forward.

We genuinely wish we could do more here. If there's anything else we can clarify about your reservation, please don't hesitate to ask.

Unfortunate Room Swap

The room was nice but wasn’t the room I had booked. Due to flight delays, I was late in checking in and was told they were ‘sold out’ of my room and other rooms similar. I was put in a two queen bed room which was fine but I don’t understand how I paid extra for a nice room and then get downgraded despite my reservation being in place. Very frustrating.

The tv wasn’t working

The tv wasn’t working. The price I was quoted was $100 dollars cheaper than I was charged. The drawers would not close and the bathroom was filthy! The floors had brown clumps all over them. I had never stayed at this hotel, and after this, I never want to - ever again.

Room 2074

Room 2074. Bed was very comfortable and at a comfortable height. It was nice being on the top floor of the renovated rooms Ipanema tower. The floor-to-ceiling windows provided an outstanding view! The design of the shower to have a hand slot to allow turning on the shower without having to be IN the shower was excellent!
On the down side, the shower had 2 shampoos & 1 conditioner; no body wash (a simple oversight). The light to the left of the bathroom mirror blinked or stayed off. MOST important, the design of the shower - with the open back end - allowed water to flow out onto the floor - especially when the shower head was initially pointed toward the opening when the maids or previous guests left it that way. The water flowed almost to the wall outside the bathroom before we noticed, @ the floor was dangerously slippery! I slipped, but didn't fall, but another guest could easily be hurt as a result, and water damage to the room could also occur. I luckily noticed & was able to towel up the water and redirect the showerhead before any damage or injury occurred.
Lastly, I had seen a picture of a room with a bathtub next to the window, that I (mistakenly) thought was representative of the room I had reserved, but, alas, it was not. That was probably my mistake... But even without that feature, the room was nice.
