Very Disappointing – Waste of Money and Time

I deeply regret hiring Rentokil. After charging €600, they completely failed to resolve a mouse infestation in my home. Despite two visits, the problem not only remained — it got worse. I was still seeing live mice and fresh droppings even after their so-called treatment.

What’s worse, I had to bring in an independent pest expert, who immediately found multiple access points Rentokil failed to detect or seal. This shows a clear lack of thoroughness and professionalism on their part.

Rentokil staff seem more focused on taking money than delivering real results. I raised concerns early on, but they just sent template replies and insisted I wait longer — while mice continued to roam my home. For €600, I expected a proper inspection, real pest control, and peace of mind. I got none of that.

Avoid at all costs. You're better off hiring a local, independent professional who actually cares about doing the job right.

I had a phone consultation with Ken Dwyer about a recent ant problem in my home.
Ken was very understanding having addressed a similar issue himself recently. I explained my problem in detail and Ken listened and outlined options customised to my requirements. Having researched the issue at length, I found Ken very knowledgeable, amicable and solution-focused. This is my second interaction with Rentokil and on both occasions I have found Ken and the team (John Magee & co) to be very professional.

Akos was very punctual, helpful and explained everything in great detail. He also came back for a 2nd visit to make sure all was OK.

Absolutely brilliant service. My rentokil rep Alan was outstanding. Informative and polite he gave us as much time as we required to discuss what needed to happened and he followed up with several visits to deal with our problem. He has expert knowledge and very willing to share same. Very responsive- would highly recommend

Paid for 3 callouts, received 2 and heard nothing for months. At a later time there was rodent activity in my attic and I had to insist they come. They came and looked around - only to take all of the previous traps and poison they set on the last visit! I was now in a worse off position for calling them!!

They were claiming there was no evidence of activity and I later found one of my personal traps hidden with a rodent in it. Horrible attitude of the person in my home telling me I will have to ' to sign up to another contract now' if i want them to help. There was clear evidence of rodent activity just one night before.

Disgusting behaviour all round.

I just spoke with Ken on the phone. Very professional and knowledgeable and very quick to respond to my request to contact me. Issue with birds nesting in the roof and I feel confident that this company will treat it in an ethical, humane and professional way
