Rauschcolemanhomes did some very shoddy…

Rauschcolemanhomes did some very shoddy workmanship in Paragould, Arkansas. They put out beautiful misleading brochures with well built homes and beautiful green lawns. Finishing work was poorly done, no quality workmanship, but hopefully no major defects to this point. The worst part is that beautiful green grass soon died out with patchy dead spots. They laid the sod on top of construction debris - concrete and all. My son, a veteran, was relocating to Arkansas at the time and trusted the company due to their Christian reputation. Buyer beware; Lennar bought them out; not sure what it says about Lennar.

Don't make the same mistake we did

Don't make the same mistake we did. Have Rausch Coleman correct ALL things BEFORE you close. From a positive, Chris and Renee are WONDERFUL. However, their hands are only bound by what RC dictates. It started off with our fence being warped (prior to closing). we mentioned this on our final walk through. After closing, a decision by RC and the fence builder was that the warpage was "within tolerance guidelines". HUH???? Six weeks after moving in, there was a bad storm and we had shingles come off. RC said this was wind damage and therefore not "warrantable". Again, HUH??? $375 cost to us. Our grass in our yard is "ATROCIOUS; HORRIBLE". I wish they would use the same grass as the nice plush green no weed grass everyone sees on Chapel Run, but they don't. In August, our AC went out. After waiting 3 days, a new motor (compressor, something) was replaced; but again, 6 months and a major unit goes out. Driveways being patched and not really repaired. Dead grass still being put down (again, right next door on our side yard). Now, we just found out that the home next door is for rent. We were told that RC wants a family community without revolving door renters, yet here we are right next door to such. Since RC Homes has so many clauses to get out of paying for things, maybe a clause stating that homes cannot be rented out for at least xxx years (2, 5, something). This would prevent investors from turning this into a revolving door community. We're happy with our home, just not sure how long we will stay here. But RC has taught us a valuable lesson with all the mishaps and deception we've seen. Just ask, ask, ask, before committing and save yourself some possible headaches in the future.

My problem isn't with the house I…

My problem isn't with the house I bought, my problem is with the people who live on my street. First of all, the streets are very narrow and the house is set back only enough for two cars in the driveway. Several of my neighbors have 3 or 4 cars which means 2 of the cars get parked on the street. So my next door neighbors who don't speak English park 2 cars on the street. My neighbor across the street has 3 cars so his full size extended cab truck gets parked on the street which is across from my driveway making it very difficult to get out of my driveway. His next door neighbor has 2 big commercial vans which at least 1 of the gets parked on the street. He has party's almost every day and his guests park on the street. My other complaint is the party's and loud music. Most of my neighbors are Hispanic and boy do they like to party. I have to hear their music all weekend long and many times into the wee hours of the night. The home owners association won't enforce the rules. There is not suppose to be parking on the street or other any other behavior which disturbs your neighbors. I live in the FoxTail subdivision in Siloam Springs AR. I have only owned this house for a year but I'm going to have to sell and find a more peaceful and quiet place where I don't have to put up with all this nonsense. Don't move to Foxtail unless you love listening to someone else's music all day and all night and don't mind not being able to back out of your driveway. I can't wait to get out of here.

BEWARE of RAUSCH COLEMAN HOMES

BEWARE! Unpainted walls, sloppy finishes, unleveled surfaces, caulking never applied IN THE BATHROOM, unleveled surfaces, cabinets damaged presumably from when they pushed in either the stove or microwave, holes in the ceiling, electrical issues, lights not working a couple weeks after closing, breakers that are ** INSTALLED OUTSIDE ** and cheaply done so it actually took out our TV and LazyBoy sofas when a storm came so we have to replace them - which is several thousands.....
ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE, TONS OF BROKEN PROMISES, lies about who works for them by way of repairs AND ELECTRICAL.....
CHEAP Materials, SLOPPY finish, LACK of workmanship. I read another review where RC promises their employees all sorts of bonuses for completing XYZ before due dates - but you the customer will pay for it. That review also mentioned the employees NEVER got CASH bonus, they got some sort of game night out.
don't buy..... think about it, then don't buy - just walk away. This was a horrid experience for us and WE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER RAUSCH HOME AGAIN

Buyer Beware

I totally regret buying this cheaply built home. I had a beautiful brick home I sold in Dallas and retired and moved to OKC. The realtor, Melissa from Copper Creek Realty, knew I wanted an all-brick home that was updated, and she totally pushed me into this cheaply new built that is bare bones, bare minimum so she could hurry up and make her commission. I probably won't even wait two years to sale this house and will just sale it what I bought it for and count my losses and move on. I don't even know if I can get what I paid for it at this point even after putting up a fence, window coverings and guttering. I kept telling the realtor I should just find a place to rent so that I would not settle for something I did not want and apparently, she knew the tactic that if she kept pushing, she would wear me down. I should have just fired her. I definitely do not recommend Melissa from Copper Creek Realty.

Now on to the builder, when they showed me a house it had bigger windows and windows you could raise, so I signed the contract. The next day Sammy called me and said oh I'm sorry I showed you the wrong house and your house is going to be across the street, but it is exactly the same floor plan and same house but different color scheme. That was a flat out lie cause the windows in the living/dining areas are fixed and you cannot open them in the house I got. This is not the same house as the house across the street. The only thing better about this house is the lot. I like to raise my windows when the weather is nice and let the air in, but I can't do that in this house. They also don't even give you any ceiling fans so there is no air circulation at all. That's so messed up. I highly regret buying this house. I've only been here a little more than a month and I hate it.

On the final walkthrough the two-way sewer pipes were still 2 feet tall at least, the red clay had not been power washed off the house and the yard was dead. The kitchen sink made a popping noise every time you turned on the water and they were like oh that's just air in the lines. They said they would cut the sewer pipes and power wash the house before I closed the next day, but they did not. When I closed and came to the house the sewer pipes and red clay was still on the house. I had to call the sales representative and the project managers almost every day until they came out to do what they said they would do before closing. When they did power wash my house, they damaged the siding on the ceiling of the back porch and when I called Sammy, he said that the siding isn't included in the warranty. I was like OMG your company is the one that damaged it. I finally got it fixed somewhat but it still is not straight. Sloppy work just like the house.

The representative told me we didn't have to go through the HOA to put up a fence since they were still building in the community and that was a flat out lie. The HOA threatened me after I put up a fence without their permission. I ended up getting approved though.

I highly would not recommend these homes to anyone. I'm so pissed. They knew I paid cash for this house, and they cut so many corners. I gave them a bad review on gosurvey.com too.

Bare minimum

Cut corners, unfinished spaces, bare minimum additions…….I’m a first-time home buyer and I already know what builder I’ll never buy again.

Proud Home Owner

I want to say how pleased I am and overly filled with Joy. Rausch Coleman made my dream of owning a home come true. From the 1st phone call with internet team. Talking with Ms.Tamecisha A, (Tuscaloosa Office), who had faith from the 1st time talking to me her warm personality, I knew I was in good hands. Trust the process she said. When I decide what area I wanted to be in she did a warm transfer to Elizabeth E (Odenville, AL). Mrs. Liz was super easy to talk to, very knowledgeable and brought my anxiety from 2000 to finish line of buying an home. When I tell you Mrs. Liz has held my hand throughout the whole process and made sure I was comfortable. when I had questions, they didn’t go unanswered. I thank the whole Rausch Coleman team for helping me.

I recently purchased a home in June…

I recently purchased a home in June 2023, a milestone I had eagerly anticipated as a first-time buyer and a veteran. However, my excitement quickly turned to frustration and disappointment due to my interactions with Rausch Coleman Homes, particularly with Zack, the project manager based in Birmingham, AL.

From the outset, Zack's behavior was unprofessional and disheartening. During the final inspection, he attempted to manipulate my emotions by implying that his income depended on receiving favorable reviews on surveys. This tactic was not only unscrupulous but also entirely inappropriate.

Furthermore, Zack's attempt to sway my opinion reached an alarming low when he mentioned sending a $25 gift card as an incentive for a positive survey review. This was nothing short of an attempt at bribery, which left a sour taste in my mouth.

One of the most egregious instances of deception came when Zack assured me that minor issues we noticed at the closing would be addressed. Specifically, our yard was missing sod and had numerous brown and dying patches due to poorly laid sod with large gaps. Zack promised to send someone to fix these issues and asked us to wait a month for the grass to recover. Three months later, nothing had been done, and I had to invest my own time and money to correct these problems.

I was initially informed that the yard would be properly graded before laying sod, but my backyard consistently flooded after rainfall, indicating that this promise was not fulfilled. Additionally, a portion of my front yard had sod laid directly over concrete or a large rock, causing the sod to die. I had to undertake the laborious task of removing the concrete and rejuvenating the area myself.

My efforts to address these concerns through warranty claims were equally frustrating. Despite submitting pictures and waiting for a response, I received no contact from the warranty department even after 10 business days. When I followed up with the company, I was met with a rude and unprofessional phone call from Zack, chastising me for seeking answers regarding my warranty claim.

Zack's inability to effectively manage the situation was further evident when he took pictures of the issues in my yard but failed to follow up on the warranty claim, leaving me in limbo for weeks.

On another occasion, we had to file a warranty claim for an outlet that was never properly secured, and the flooring was laid over a concrete anchor that protruded through the surface. The flooring contractors failed to show up twice, with Zack providing no prior warning on the first occasion and only texting an hour after the scheduled time on the second.

Adding to the list of unprofessional behaviors, Zack appeared at my house unannounced during working hours, two months after I had submitted the warranty claim. This lack of communication and consideration for the customer's schedule was entirely unacceptable.

To make matters worse, my first warranty claim for the backyard was closed without notifying me, leading to confusion and additional frustration.

Additionally, Zack's lack of preparation for the VA inspection resulted in further delays and expenses for Rausch Coleman Homes, ultimately impacting my ability to secure funding.

Lastly, the siding on my house is now bowed, necessitating yet another warranty claim that I dread pursuing due to the overall unprofessionalism and rudeness I have experienced from Zack.

In conclusion, my experience with Rausch Coleman Homes and the individuals I interacted with, particularly Zack, was extremely dissatisfying and unjust. As a veteran who has served this country, I expected better treatment and professionalism. Sadly, Rausch Coleman Homes fell far short of those expectations, leaving me deeply disappointed and disheartened.

Complete Lack of Communication

Submitted my information via their website and immediately received a text message and email from a supposed agent. Despite stating that I am a graveyard shift worker, prefer to communicate via email, and that response would be slow due to that fact, I received a number of automated/scripted calls, texts, and emails over the next several days throughout the daytime hours. My replies to those emails were never acknowledged. Instead, after several days, I received notice that the agent was no longer interested in working with me. I feel as though I've dodged a bullet and have been saved the trouble of trying to work with a company that cares little about their customers.
