I recently had cataract surgery on one eye. Mr Deshmukh was very professional and reassuring throughout, taking time to explain the lens options. The surgery went so smoothly and painlessly that I have decided to have the second eye done straight away.

Dr Rajesh Deshmukh performed cataract surgery on my left eye, after which I could instantly see distance better than I have been able to for more than 30 years! Throughout, he was courteous, professional and reassuring, taking care and time to explain my options and the procedure. Highly recommended.

Three weeks ago Mr Deshmukh performed a cataract surgery on my right eye. At the consultation he explained the different lens that were available and the benefits and possible problems associated with each, this was slightly complicated by the fact that I had LASIK surgery 22 years ago, Mr Deshmukh took the time to answer all my questions and I found him to be very reassuring, I opted for an Edof lens. The surgery was straightforward and the aftercare has been excellent. The lens I chose has given me good distance and intermediate vision and I wear low strength reading glasses for close work. I am very pleased with the results and when I need the other eye treated I will happily have it done with Mr Deshmukh. All in all A*****

I am extremely happy with the outcome of Mr Deshmukh’s cataract surgery on both my eyes. I can now see better than I have for years and can give up varifocal glasses (that were beginning to not be good enough) and only have glasses for reading small print. A huge improvement. Mr Deshmukh is very professional and takes time to answer any queries and to make you feel comfortable and confident with the procedures.

On 17 February 2022, I had surgery by Dr Deshmukh to remove cataracts from both my eyes. Surgery was performed very professionally and with no pain; it was very successful.

Before surgery, I could not see from the right eye and only partially from the left eye; I could not read emails, books, newspapers, etc without the help of a magnifying lens. Subtitles or text on TV screens were all blurred: I had to stay close to the screen to be able to read the scripts. Worse was when I had to travel and had to ask other people's help in reading time tables, departure tables etc.

Now, after surgery, I can do all of the above without any problem and without any help from magnifying glasses. What a wonderful experience!

I can now see the world with new eyes, literally.

My consultation was to enquire about treatment of lens opacity in right eye. Mr Deshmukh inspected the eye and confirmed that laser work would deal with the problem. He agreed to do treatment immediately as my eye pupil been dilated already. The laser work was totally painless and lasted only a few minutes. The outcome was a miracle as normal vision was restored. He is a very skilful & friendly person who put me entirely at ease for the procedure.

Mr. Deshmukh performed YAG laser on my secondary cataract and restored my sight in that eye.

A highly professional doctor who was extremely helpful and explained everything in great detail to put my mind at rest. It felt like I was being treated by a family member.

Dr Deshmukh performed cataract operations on both my eyes (two separate operations- one eye on the NHS and the other privately). I chose him to do the surgery as I had read great reviews of him. I wasn't disappointed. He was extremely reassuring, explaining everything both before and during the operations. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a eye surgeon.

I was a self-referral seeking to understand the options available to correct the problems with my vision. Mr Deshmukh was highly professional and thorough in explaining the latest corrective techniques and their benefits, as well the process and the precautions taken. I feel reassured and ready to take the next steps. Highly recommended!

I saw Mr Deshmukh in the morning.He explained to me about my eye issues and then showed me with the plastic eye sample.answered all my questions and put my mind at peace.Have been doing my exercises and my eyes are better and improving 🙂

Cataract. All good. Only draw back was I got to see Arsenal score an injury time winner against my beloved Wolves. The NHS and all of its workers are incredible and we must never take it for granted.

I had my cataract removal & lens replacement (EDOF) operations 2 weeks apart done by Mr Deshmukh at the Moorfield Eye Hospital. My driving (even at night), watching TV (reading subtitles), sharp colour vision and in general just being able to see everything clearly is wonderful. I just have to wait for my brain to remember that I do not have to look for my glasses!!! Thank you Mr Deshmukh.

Mr Deshmukh performed a cataract operation on both my eyes nearly 4 weeks ago and I am amazed by the result. I have worn glasses since I was 6 years old and I am now nearly 76. I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes. Amazing. Even the stigmatism in my left eye has been completely corrected. I will just have to unlearn my life long habit of reaching for my glasses. I also found the actual operation to be completely stress free.

An excellent eye surgeon with the knack of working so fast, sure and steady that you don’t have the time to worry! Couldn’t believe how quick and fuss-free my cataract removal/replacement lens was. Looking forward to having the other eye ‘done’ next- hopefully, by Mr Deshmukh. And did I say ‘highly recommended’?!

I was seen today by Dr. Deshmukh at Moorfields North London. This was a follow up consutation for my cataracts operations. I found Dr. Deshmukh to be very professional, informative and helpful. Finally, he has excellent inter-personal skills and made me feel at ease throughout the consultation.

Mr Deshmukh is a very caring consultant and easy to talk to about my fears of cataract surgery. I’ve now had both cataracts operated on and found Mr Deshmukh very reassuring through out the whole process

Visited in November for YAG capsulotomies which he performed very successfully. Good explanations of procedure given to me and very courteous.

Such great service. Rajesh and his team were all friendly, polite people. They could see that I was nervous from the start and calmly took me through each stage of the surgery.
The actual surgery performed by Rajesh was completely pain free. I am so grateful to him and the team for the gift of clear sight again.
I would wholeheartedly recommend him for anyone having eye surgery.
