Really unhelpful communication and service. Reached out to get an idea of costs for an extension. They wouldn't send someone out but they asked for a drawing of a proposed plan which I provided and still wouldn't give a quote because my timeline didnt suit them even though I said the work might be within the year. Absolute waste of time.

As first time buyers, we didn't know where to start when it came to choosing the design of our windows. Gerard explained what style would allow the most light and what would be most secure, while taking aesthetics into account. The door design tool on the website is excellent! We could trial different colours, windows, glazing and hardware to see which way we wanted our door. The installation was seamless! We are so happy with our windows and doors, highly recommend.

We have had the most fantastic experience with Q windows and doors. We got a new kitchen last year and we wanted bigger windows and a large sliding patio door. Our old kitchen was dark, dull and cold so we wanted bright, modern and warmth. The service was fantastic right from the first phone call. Brenda gave great advice on everything, talking us through options then Ger came to the house to discuss ideas. We settled on a large white sliding patio door and a very large picture window which I love. We also extended a bay window which was short. It's now from ceiling to floor and all I can say is wow. I walk into my kitchen every morning and I'm blown away. Everyone that comes into our home asks if Dermot Bannon designed the kitchen and it's because of the beautiful windows. We later got the 2 back bedroom windows done and they are also brilliant. Just recently, I contacted Brenda again as we wanted a hall door. Ours is a double door so I knew it would be tricky and expensive. Brenda sourced the doors and sent me pictures from brochures. She took my order and was very specific with handles letterbox etc. I had to wait for four months due to a back log from covid but it was worth the wait. The lads came and fitted my door and Peter also took out a window and replaced a cill for me. I now have a fabulous new red hall door. We are planning to replace our front windows maybe next year and I will definitely be returning to Q windows. Great service, very professional and extremely efficient. Having just moved into our new house we sadly needed new doors and windows. Q Windows had been recommended by a friend and I really could not have been happier they were. Having received quotes from the likes of Fairco and Global, given we have an uncommon style of Bay window both up and downstairs at the front of the house, Quotes were very expensive.

Firstly I'll add that Q Windows were by far the most competitive price we received. I contacted Brenda who was a pleasure to deal with. We at first only wanted the back door and French doors done, then we decided to include the front door also, then we decide all doors and windows at the back of house, than we decided the whole house. Despite all our changes, Brenda was quick to respond each time by sending Ger our within a day or two to take measurements and having the quote pack back to us within days of them being taken. She was readily available to answer any of our queries with regards to style, fittings and colour. Ger even recommended some small details for our windows we hadn't thought of that we are delighted with now (inside and outside of windows to be separate colours was one of them). The Lead up time was one of the fastest we were quoted.

The team who put in the windows in were great to deal with. Contacting us each morning to let us know their arrival and letting us know when they had finished. They were very clean and took all the debris with them including our old doors and windows and left the place spotless.

Overall myself and partner are are over the moon with our doors and windows. We are getting a lot of compliments from neighbours of the job and we have advised anyone whos asked to use Q Windows.

Avoid this company and their rude and unprofessional staff. They either will ignore your questions about their products, give you the wrong quote, or respond in a rude and dismissive way.

I requested a quote several weeks ago. They asked for photos and sizes, which I provided (admittedly it took me a few days to sort out, as I was away). I asked for light oak finish, gold fittings, etc., and about prices for double-glazed, triple-glazed, and soundproof (acoustic) glass. I also asked about the A-rating and UV-rating of the windows/doors, all of which are vitally important, given the large expense involved and the fact that different A-ratings and UV-raitngs for windows and doors will significantly affect their ability to hold heat and keep out the cold (even more important with the current energy crisis).

A week later I received a quote for generic white windows, inside and out, without any of the features or fixings I asked for. All, and I mean all, of my questions were completely ignored.

I responded pointing this out and was sent a revised quote with the correct features, but most of my questions were still ignored. I asked again about the UV-rating of one of the glass options, clarification on pricing, and what the lead time was. All normal, reasonable questions that all other window/door providers were more than willing and able to answer (without having to request multiple times).

Brenda replied curtly: "I don't thing we are the best company for you so I think you shpuld go with one of the other prices you got"

I was gobsmacked at this rude, dismissive response. No answers to my questions yet again. I told her that her message was very rude, but received no reply or apology.

Quite frankly, it's madness that someone would tell you to go elsewhere rather than answer questions about their product. The customer can decide if it doesn't work for them, based on the information they get.

Suffice it to say, I won't be going with Q Windows based solely on how rude and dismissive they have been, particularly Brenda. I'll also be sharing my experience widely and advising people I know to go with a different company. If Q Windows treat basic questions about their product as a chore, or treat their customers as a burden, then you can only imagine how hard it would be to get any problems with fittings, etc. fixed.

Maybe their windows/doors are good. Maybe the people fitting them are good. But how can you even know if they treat asking questions like a crime? And why should anyone forking over thousands be treated so poorly? Respectul communication should be the bare minimum with any company.

There are really only three reasons why someone in a supposedly professional company would ignore and refuse to answer your questions: 1) they don't know their product; 2) they're hiding something; or 3) they don't care about you or their job and can't be bothered to get you the information.

Any of these are bad, and why Q Windows are best avoided.

Communication - top notch, very professional, super fast response and clear expectation setting on delivery timelines and processes (given that everything is delayed right now).
Great value for money - they gave me the most competitive rates out of 3-4 vendors I had reached out to
Assessment - very honest in providing an assessment of what I really needed done vs. trying to cross-sell/upsell. It also helped that he was super friendly but still professional
Installation - came and did the job in a few hours, cleaned up after themselves and were very friendly and professional.
Overall, I had a brilliant experience with this company and would highly recommend using their services!
