I feel misled by the way this subscription is presented.

I created a QR code for a one-day event. After the QR code expired, I was offered an upgrade to the Startup annual plan.

The offer clearly displayed:

"Start 14-day free trial"

In addition, the Terms of Service state:

"You will not be charged by Brainpage Ltd until Free Trial has expired."

Based on this information, I understood that I would receive a 14-day free trial and that no payment would be collected until the trial period ended.

Instead, my card was charged $119.95 immediately on the same day I signed up, and I received a payment confirmation email saying, "Thank you for your payment."

I canceled the subscription immediately after noticing the charge.

My concern is not the refund policy itself. My concern is that the subscription was advertised as including a 14-day free trial, and the Terms of Service explicitly state that users will not be charged until the free trial expires. Despite this, my card was charged immediately.

Neat tool to gain free access to unlimited QR Codes and Scans. Only thing to keep in mind is for any analytics features you will have to pay for a subscription (which makes sense). Otherwise, it's a great way to dip your feet into the QR Code space with room to expand for free and the ability to pay for more premium features if your project should require such features.
