Excellent week in beautiful weather. Great value for money. Wonderful staff both at the centre and out on the hills, providing calm and patient instruction. Canteen excels with freshly cooked meals, plus tasty packed lunches and cakes with afternoon tea! Great ambience. Definitely returning.

Instruction is amazing. Facilities are great. Support staff (food services, reception, cleaners) are super friendly.

My only critique is that the beds are softer than I prefer.

Great venue. Accommodation and food excellent value for money. Food great choice and quality excellent. I did 5 day advanced scrambling course. Instructors were great. Course was first rate. Covered everything I wanted to do. Had 5 very good quality days in the mountains. Equipment loan was free including scrambling boots. Good range of quality equipment. Overall amazing value for money. My 4th visit and I’ll be back.

I have been to two courses so far and hoping to do many more in the future. Brilliant people and great experience guaranteed. The instructors listen and take into account the skills that you would want to acquire and do their best to accomplish it.

Brilliant course good instructors and food

My third REC First Aid Course at PyB and quite different again. As ever the instruction was superb and though the syllabus is more Mountain based than my Canoeing background would probably prefer it caters well for the extended remote trips that I used to be able to do. The instructor very kindly facilitated my walking disability and I felt that I was fully able to participate in the practicals. The ‘disabled’ accommodation was excellent too.

Instructor was brilliant, really knowledgable and knew exactly where to take us in relation to our level of climbing. Actually the best instructor I’ve been on a course with.

No rush to finish the day and was all about making sure we had as much climbing time as possible. I’ll definitely be returning.

The course, food and staff were amazing

Guides were excellent, first-rate and very knowledgeable. Food very good. Accomodation is fine, but mattresses could do with a refresh.

Experienced and Enthusiastic Instructors

I experienced a very good mountain leader training refresher weekend. The groups were of a good size with 4:1 ratio. The instructor was knowledgeable, experienced and his enthusiasm for the outdoors was so infectious! Would definitely come here again and would recommend to anyone.

Excellent instructor, first class equipment.. Well planned days with a lot of preparation .
The food was healthy, very good and plentiful and the accommodation whilst basic, as expected, was clean, warm and comfortable.
Will return and I have no hesitation in recommending Plas y Brenin.
