Very disappointing experience and complete lack of empathy

I had booked a cooking class with Pugliamare, but on the morning of the experience my partner woke up very sick. I contacted them politely, explained the situation, and asked if it would be possible to postpone the class to the following month, as I was flying back to Ireland that same night and would not be back in Bari for two weeks.

I was not asking for a cancellation or a refund — only for an alternative solution or a chance to reschedule due to illness. Unfortunately, their response was simply that their policy does not allow changes within 24 hours. There was no real empathy, flexibility, or willingness to help.

As a result, I lost €130 and also missed an experience I was genuinely looking forward to. I understand that businesses need policies, but situations involving illness should be handled with a minimum level of humanity and customer care.

Very disappointing service. I would not recommend booking with them unless you are 100% certain nothing unexpected will happen, because they appear to offer no support or flexibility at all.

Silvia and Viviana were amazing tour guides and made this the most wonderful experience! We enjoyed delicious food selections, wonderful information from the guides, and beautiful scenery! We highly recommend this tour! We enjoyed the caffe speciale, traditional focaccia, panzerotti, red wine and white focaccia with burrata and ham. Absolutely delicious!

We booked a last minute tour to Araborello as our previous tour was cancelled by another company. The lady at the desk was so helpful and friendly. Our driver was also very good. The tour guide was excellent and knowledgeable. Thankyou for organising a great tour!

I’ve never been more impressed by a boat driver. Our captain took us inside the caves giving us the best experience possible. He was humorous and provided insightful historical and relevant facts on our visit. The caves were all extremely beautiful. I recommend this activity to everyone visiting.

Bellissima esperienza!

Consigliatissimo! ❤️

Esperienza perfetta. Personale gentilissimo e super professionale.

Esperienza perfetta! Daniele molto gentile e eccellente insegnante! Grazie !👏🏻

A simply perfect experience! 🌊✨
Pugliamare is much more than just a service: it’s an authentic journey discovering the wonders of Puglia. From the impeccable organization to the professionalism of the staff, everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail. The excursions are spectacular, with breathtaking views and moments that truly stay in your heart.
A special thanks to the team, always kind, helpful, and passionate—they manage to convey all their love for the region and make every experience unique and unforgettable.
Highly recommended to anyone who wants to experience the sea and Puglia in an exclusive and authentic way. I can’t wait to come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great experience! We had a great time during our cooking class with Daniele!
He was very professional.
I highly recommend this company

The boat experience with Pugliamare was simply outstanding...crystal waters, stunning coastal views and an atmosphere that felt both relaxing and special.
What truly impressed me was the flawless organization: everything ran smoothly, effortlessly, and with great attention to detail.
After such a perfect experience, I’m definitely looking forward to trying more of what they offer.

Great expirience

Great experience with Pugliamare! Everything was well organized, and the team was friendly and professional. They offer authentic and high-quality experiences that truly showcase the beauty of Puglia. Highly recommended!

I booked a tour for 8 people 300 days before the date with Viator, Pugliamare was the local operator.
In many emails this company knew my group was on a cruise ship, even on the actual day of the tour I sent a message that we will be off the ship at 08:30.
After we started the tour they sent me a text saying the tour will not get back until 18:30 (After the time the ship will leave).
On the original Viator listing it apparently did say it was a 9 hour tour but at that stage I did not have the ships schedule .
My concern is that they did not read the emails and texts I sent them saying we were on a cruise and only after the start was I advised.
They offered to send a van to pick us up for a cost of 230 euros.
I suggest that people be advised to watch everything with this company as they are not genuine in their desires.

Grazie Franco, a presto!
