I want to share my honest experience with PROTECT Europe SLR / protectpickup.de.
We bought a tonneau cover for a Ford Ranger/Raptor, expecting a solid, good-quality product that you install and use. Unfortunately, that was not our experience at all.
After only a short time, the coating started peeling off badly. The cover also did not feel stable - it was rattling, shaking, and the fasteners kept loosening during normal use. For a new product, this was very disappointing.
I contacted the seller and sent photos. Instead of offering a proper solution, they first sent a spray coating repair set, basically expecting us to repaint/fix a new product ourselves. In my opinion, when you buy a new cover, it should not become a DIY repair project after a few days.
Later, when I asked for a proper exchange or another fair solution, I was told that an exchange would cost another 250 EUR, and I would also have to arrange and pay the shipping myself. For me, that is not acceptable, because the problem was not caused by us - the product simply did not meet the quality we expected.
The most disappointing part was the after-sales communication. Instead of trying to solve the issue in a fair and professional way, the communication became defensive and unpleasant.
I am sharing this so other people can make a more informed decision before buying. I have photos and email correspondence to support my experience.
